As I was re-watching this tutorial I thought I would answer a question for you, the reason horses have such large nostrils is as you assumed in order to take in a lot of air at once, because horses CANNOT breathe through their mouth. Their mouth is not connected to their windpipe like in humans so they need very large nostrils as they can't just open their mouths when they need to take in more air, such as when running etc. Bit of trivia for you!!

Just finished this tutorial and found it to be very interesting and it really did help me with drawing a horses head and neck. The only problem with my drawing is - it now looks like the head is just floating off in space somewhere. Would you be able to do a tutorial on how to draw the entire horse?

For some reason i can draw horses quite easily, at least body proportions, so it is nice to see more on their faces that i can't just draw off hand. I discovered quite a few things i can draw without practice or reference recently. At some point i memorised subconsciously various anatomy and muscles. Cats, horses, and feminine muscles.
I subscribed to Mark years ago. And watched every video he has uploaded religously. Tho I never drawed, nor have I intended to. Why I watch it? Because of "snouts", becouse of sudden almost demonic possesion bursts of "guide lines begone! I have no use of you!", because of "old man", "the surfer", and al others that have roles here. Because of his contineous missunderstandings with time lapses, its just funny. Voayerism I guess, its interesting to see constant descent into madness, altrough I know the end and didnt believe for a second that he will slip truly. Once when I was younger I talked something, thinking loud I guess, and my grandmother asked me who am I talking to. I sad with myself. She sad thats okay, the problem is only when you start to argue with yourself. I gess she was right. This is the most non intentional comedic channel on YT.
Love ur work why do u master artist have to speed things up . Us struggling artist need the extra steps we dont care how long video is. Thanks for what u did show and explain.

Do you edit the color of your videos I don’t understand how you get that color with a number 2 pencil. It literally pisses me off that I can’t do it, and rather than blaming me ima blame you 😩😆😆😆 I’m just kidding. But I would reallllllllllly love to know exactly what kinda black pencil you use, cause when I do black the only way I can get it that dark is if I press it down super hard. But then it’s dull not sharp & I don’t know how you get such fine lines so dark. Am I doing something wrong or are certain black prisma pencils diff than others depending on the brand?
