I love to paint, drawing not so much, but I love how you use the brushes to blend, I'm seeing this from additional artists as well. Who knew? This becomes much more appealing as I like the way it covers the paper more quickly. Drawing always seemed to take too long. Very well done, thank you for the tips! Blessings!
Such a nice portrait. Details of the process are very very very appreciated. Always is helpful to see reference image fairly regularly. I might have noted before, or perhaps others have, that the part of the horse's mane that falls from the top of its head and between the ears and sometimes over the eyes, is called the forelock. And, the horse's nose area that helps the horse graze and eat grain, that includes the nostrils is called the muzzle. Thank you. You are truly super - regarding your extraordinary talent and your videos with voiceovers.
That's insanely good. So good. I'm just like......wow.....as someone wanting to be good at art I feel quite depressed lol but seriously WOW absolutely amazing
I'm the same way with going with the flow when drawing. I often tend to go all over the place, I kinda just do what you do and let my eye and hand go where it feels it needs to. Great stuff!
Incredibly beautiful. I found this video very, very helpful as I'm learning my way with charcoal pencils. You've captured that quiet strength of this beautiful creature. The lighting of the subject is perfection. I'm sure the recipients of this commission were ecstatic.
This is stunning 😍 it was really helpful seeing how you created depth in the mane - I’m currently sketching a horse and was really struggling with the mane so will try and use the same principles for the highlights. Thank you!
Prekrasno umjetničko djelo, odličan vrlo detaljan tutorial, odlično napravljen video, vrlo ugodan glas, te odsutnost pozadinskih smetnji u tonu. Jednostavno fantastično! Svaka čast!
Everyone is wow, and for a good reason this art is Wonderful at its best 🎨👏❤️but my question is..... HOW.... did you study from close this beautiful creature???? I wonder this horse exists.... I'm speechless 😶
fabulous drawing. I learned a lot from watching it, and I'm attempting a similar drawing after a photo of an andalusian stallion I found online. I had a difficult time getting the intense black in the background until I re-watched the video and realized I had to use the woodless charcoal pencil, which worked like a charm. I do have one question... I watched the video twice and scanned it a third time, but I never saw the reference photo. Can someone tell me a timestamp in the video where the reference photo is?
Thanks for sharing this wonderful video. would you pl. advise on how to spray a fixative to save the white charcoal work. When I sprayed on one of my works, the brightness of the white reduced a lot. Though the shape is intact, the painting looks dull. Please advise the correct way to save the white charcoal work. Thanks in advance
Try to find Koh-i-Noor Gioconda white charcoal. It's a really strong opaque white that doesn't 'sink' into the dark background as much as some others when you spray it. I prefer using an eraser rather than white charcoal anyway.
Plzzzzzzzzzz sir tell the things which are mostly required as you made this art and another one Common things sir🎉🎉🎉 You art work is really amazing so that's why I ask 🎉
Amazing! I have a question about erasing. I haven't found a way to erase charcoal as well as graphite. Am I using the wrong materials or paper? I think I have the exact same eraser pencil you are using.
Beautiful work!!!! I was following your video to make painting of white horse...but while drawing hair the pigment of white chalk lead is coming differently more white than the rest of the horse which is kind of off white in color. Which white pencil would be best to draw white horse hair? Please suggest.
You say that you are using " Strathmore paper". Strathmore makes many types of paper. Can you be more specific? Also, is it possible to view your reference photo as you draw? Do you ever spray on workable fixative? For example, might you spray your dark background with fixative so that it doesn't smudge as you work?
400 series I think. the reference was provided by the customer, I don't think I have it anymore. I don't like using fixative before I'm finished or almost finished.
Im 61,i had much of my work from my youth, but lost it after becoming ill, loosing my home etc. Now that ive regained the need to create again ive not been able to find quality charcoal. I actually never had to go out and buy it untill now. So I was always using fifty-year-old charcoal and pencils. Is there different quality charcoal. What is the best.

Just looking at your art I fell in love with it. I didn’t even watch your video I just love it so much! B]
So much talent there !! Holy smokes!
Absolutely beautiful ❤️❤️✌️
Absolutely realistic wow the black background makes the horse pop
Thanks. Though with such dark backgrounds you have to be careful because the subject can end up looking flat.
I deffinatly agree.
You are amazing. I wish I could do this. I think mine look just like sketches. How does it become so real. Gorgeous!
I actually just tried it. Still looks sketch but so much better. I think with more practice I can figure out to make it hyper real.
Thank you for the detailed walkthrough! Beautiful piece of work!
Absolute incredible work mate!
Great video on horses specially with charcoal, its hard to render horse anatomy with any medium!

Beautiful work of art but horses don’t possess a ‘snout’, they have a muzzle!!!! Pigs of course have snouts ...
Maravilloso.
Lovely.

I think it depends on how you apply the charcoal. Try not topush it to hard i to the tooth of the paper.

Wow...
Amazing!!!! (Also white horse doesnt exist, its gray!)
who said white horse doesn't exist .
❤️
Your so talented!! Do you put water on the pain brush when you blend with it? Thought I’d ask since I am a beginner
no! dry media only.
Ok! I tried recreating your horse drawing because I love horses and art, it turned out really good! Not as good as yours of course! 😍
Nice bro
perfect 👏
Beautiful! Its a muzzle! Where is the catchlight?
Often there is none.

I mostly buy what I can find locally. To start you'll need some vine charcoal and any charcoal pencil.
did that drawing take days to draw because you said about dylight and artifitial light
I worked a bit for a few days. I like to make a lot of breaks.
drawing of the apapocalypse revelation Joseph and the white horse

Can i use a blending stump for blending??
Yeah, but it's best to use a variety of blending tools. Experiment with them.
