    Every boat should come fully equipped with its own Lisa. Couldn't agree more.
    I guess the Moody I just bought is the wrong sort of boat. I have looked all over it and I can't find the Lisa anywhere. Perhaps the previous owner has nicked the one that was on the boat before.
    I suppose I will have to try and find a new Lisa. Then my sailing will be as happy as yours.

    • @sailingcosiloveit

      Hi Nick, I guess there is a Lisa out there who would fit your Moody lovely. Your probably right in thinking the previous owner took her with him. Did you check the inventory correctly lol 😂 mike

    Good morning Great video of my homeland and places that I used to visit. I am an exiled Scot of 47 years ago but I should not complain as I live 200mrtes from the sea!. You can not beat the West of Scotland for yachting and exploring there is so much to see and do. I just wish that I could visit more often. The last was 2018 and and a visit to Mount Stuart House on the Isle of Bute. I would love to sail on the P.S. Waverley now that she been restored to her former glory. Regards Crawford

      @sailingcosiloveit  2 года назад +1

      Hi Crawford, you will know and have seen a lot more of Bonnie Scotland than me im sure. We love Scotland but like everywhere its better in the sunshine. We have also missed a lot of anchorages out due to the weather not being trustable so we will just have to do it all again with more time. Regards mike

    I would say those were geese sailing in the Kyle, but can’t tell if they were big enough for that! 🔭... I am intrigued why the colored marker buoys were green on starboard thoughout the sail, I would have expected them to be on both channels, ie West channel and East channel, green on starboard facing North. But perhaps the logic is that you were going up the channel coming from the sea, even going back South? 🤔

    • @sailingcosiloveit
      @sailingcosiloveit  2 года назад +1

      Hi Bruce, most channels that I know with twin inlet and outlet have either one way buoyage or have a change direction of buoyage mark mid channel. Normally marked on said chart with a monopoly house with two o’s on the roof lol mike

    So many different headings in an almost inland sail, that i thought you'd be motoring a lot, but swallow was great at all points of sail. Seems great sailing ground.

    • @sailingcosiloveit
      @sailingcosiloveit  2 года назад

      Hi Chris you could easily spend two weeks in the Kyles if you had the time as I’m sure lots do. Swallow played a blinder never needing to motor once which made the sail epic mike

    Beauty mate, we got a place called Bute here in South Australia. There was a shed load of motor sailers where you stopped over and why not, for my mind that is the perfect boat for comfy cruising. We have a few down here in South Oz, mostly built in Tasmania back in the 50s onwards, many in Huon Pine timber, but those are expensive. They seem to be sought after, plus the build quality is nearly always exceptional, hence the prices are always right up there. Beautiful looking sailing where you are, excellent vid

    • @sailingcosiloveit

      Hi Dean thanks for the kind words. Think our Swallow is definitely the correct boat for damp sailing. We are on a long beat at the moment with a bungee doing the helming. We are both in the warm. Lisa reading a book and me playing on me phone. Hell who’s on watch phew it’s ok the bungee is lol mike

    Points of information - despite their appearance these are not chain or cable ferries! And the wind at the north end of the West Kyle is ALWAYS like that. Hope you enjoy Rossy.
