One of Guinness World Records’ most loved record holders is Jyoti Kisanji Amge who has held the iconic title of Shortest woman - living (mobile) since 2011. We recently visited the 62.8-cm-tall (24.7 in) lady in her hometown of Nagpur to find out more about her extraordinary life.

It would be very hard not too
She has to be carried. Her legs are all screwed up. Surgery would have helped, but when she was being assessed for it, she carried on so much over a blood draw that her parents decided they didn’t want to put her thru anymore pain and instead took her to a local healer who spread an herbal mixture on her legs instead. Eventually she won’t be able to walk at all.

I find her absolutely amazing - in a psychological sense, the fact that her brain is physically smaller has had no effect on her intelligence. And her determination to get through education and start a career acting in a country where she doesn't understand the language is phenomenal. I would love to meet this woman and congratulate her. I hope to see her in more TV/movies in the future.

rayzumi I used to be short as hell but I didn’t really mind until I grew over the holidays and I’m 11 and my bra size is a 38C 🤦🏾♀️ but I was born on August 9th so I’m the youngest but hit puberty faster than the oldest 😂
