  • The Diamondo Earthrounding Flight Crew were able to both visit (on the ground) and overfly - on their way to Muscat (OOMS) - the 2nd sustainable initiative on the #flydiamondo route around the world: the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Solar Park and DEWA Solar Innovation Centre in Dubai.
Seeing what can be achieved when implementing the right technology in the right spot is fascinating. Included in the areas R&D is performed on is #greenhydrogen production from #solarenergy which can also be used for subsequent Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) production.

"Missed opportunity" for many Texans. Five hours ago I had the pleasure of spending 20/30 minutes with both Matt and Robin at the US Aircraft Expo at the Addison airport where they shared many of their experiences so far as they travel around the world in a Diamond DA 50. It's not everyday you meet someone in the middle of their trip flying around the world. Thanks for the memorable conversations. Best of luck, especially traveling over the North Atlantic. Brrrrrrr. Steve from Houston.

Be careful about removing too much CO2 from our atmosphere. The planet did quite well at 7000ppm CO2 (see Cabrian Explosion!) All life ceases to exist below 150 ppm. We're currently at 400 ppm. We're much closer to the extinction level at the low end right now. I think we actually need MORE CO2!
