Happy 81st Birthday, Bobby!
this song went to #10 on the easy listening charts in 1969!!!
Im 62 y/o or i wouldn't have remembered this song. Thought of it today while walking along a liver. Great song, brings back memories.
In my late Teens in the 70's, I worked on Seismograph Lines all over the South East. We spent about 7 months in the river bottom of the Pearl River in Mississippi. Man it was nasty but we loved it. This became our " Fight Song " while we were there. Oh the good ol' Glory Days.
I remember my parents playing this song from one of his albums, and a favorite of mine.
Bobby must have been “Proud” of this one.
