@@fatjimmydotcom in google maps it still says the road is “closed” at Rio Ario crossing height, so I assumed it is bc of that... but well, thanks for the info too!!:))

I think you can wait for the water level to go down at different times of the day and this was many years ago now, perhaps they have a bridge now?
