Safety chains are your friends! I was in a vehicle once that had a trailer detach on a bumpy railroad track. Those chains functioned perfectly and there was no damage. From that moment on (20+ years now) I blow a kiss to the chains when I attach them to the truck!

All I can tell you is it's worth the wait, we picked our 21', 230 HP up on Saturday in the lake 5:30pm. By Monday 36mph. Jet ski's and old fashion pontoon boats are obsolete, Sea Doo has revolutionized the boating industry

Nice addition to the Sea Doo lineup! An all in one pontoon but with some handling and performance! If I could afford it I would get one in a heartbeat! 🇺🇦🇺🇸🤜

Two issues with this video from a Switch owners perspective. First don’t disconnect the trailer wiring because the brakes will lock unless you insert the surge brake bypass key into the trailer. Second, don’t lower the Bimini until you have already loaded the boat onto the trailer because it blocks your view forward when it’s down.

Good call on the Bimini top but my trailer brakes don’t lock when I disconnect the trailer wiring.

Will be nice if they change the design for the Bimini and fold to the back side behind the seat. Like this you ride the pontoon with the Bimini down with out compromise on seating area specially when you have 8 people on board.

You need to flip that safety chain hook over and hook from bottom to top. And cross them if you didn't.

But the $1400 surcharge assured me that I'd get my boat right away, I guess I'm tipping SeaDoo for the honor of owning one of their products now.

I am a believer, thees no free ride when it come to marine power,The smallest switch almost double the dry weight of lets say the Fish pro,yet has the same powertrain the ROTAX 170, how long would we expect the power train to last considering the extra weight it has to push? Add the up to 5 passengers gear and fuel.

I was going to purchase a Switch. In fact, I was going to trade a 2022 bay boat for a Switch. I'm a Sea Doo guy who currently owns a 2022 Fish Pro Trophy (which I love), so I decided I wanted a Switch. However, after careful observation, I immediately discovered a deal breaker when it came time to actually start the purchase process. Other than weekends, I would be the only person using this boat. My wife would join me on the weekends, but I would be by myself through the week. The single entry and exit point located on the front of the Switch changed my mind about buying a Switch. That is a terrible, terrible flaw in this boat. I don't have a slip that I pull into. I trailer to the water, launch from a ramp and dock, and then retrieve when I'm done, trailering back home. With the only entry and exit at the front of the Switch, how can a person possibly pull alongside a dock, tie off to that dock, and then step onto that dock when you have no side access and no ability to enter or exit the Switch from the side? I never enter a boat from the front because the boat is always tied off sideways to the dock. My entry and exit are always done to the side because I have to pull alongside the dock. At least for me, and I'm confident for many, many other boaters, having a front entry and exit as the only entry and exit on a boat is totally impractical. You have to have the ability to tie off, enter, and exit a boat from the sides. When I actually had an opportunity to see a Switch, in person, so to speak, I couldn't believe that the only way to enter and exit it was at the front. I saw the cleats on the sides of the Switch, but no access to them while you're still on the boat without having to clumsily reach over the rails and plastic which totally encompasses the Switch. Then you can't even step off the Switch onto the dock from the sides of the boat. Like I said, when I saw that, it was a deal breaker.

Definitely a design flaw... Maybe that will bring the price down for used ones when the amount of people with disposable incomes (which will be less and less as inflation continues to rise) realize they got a bum steer. Those of us who are a bit creative may have to "kitbash" a side entrance to make it work.

Biggest drawback on this boat is the lack of entry points. Apparently the only "doors" or access points on this boat is on the bow and stern. When docked, these are NOT the ideal locations for getting into the boat. The plastic fit and finish is cheap looking and has a cheap feel. After looking at these, it's not for me.

This boat is such a pain in the ass. For those of us who live in lake communities l. We have docks..who wants to launch a boat everytime you use it. Paying launch fees in many places. Sorry it's a no for me.

It's a year later and they start at $29,999 for the Compact Sport 170. I was looking for an electric motor for another pontoon and it was $15,000 just for an electric (60hp) motor. and No boat and No trailer. $30-$35k seems a very good entry level that includes a trailer and has more power than just cruising. This can also fit into a normal car garage. I see way more pros than cons.
