I've been growing Blue Lake pole beans for years and the thought of starting them indoors never occurred to me. Getting them started has always been the hard part and your method should eliminate that problem
Thank you 😊 I just got these beans yesterday. This year is the first year my beans are doing so good
That's wonderful to hear! It sounds like you're off to a great start with your beans. Here's to many more successful harvests in the future. Happy gardening! 🌱😊
@@YouPlantTube thank you so much
@YouPlantTube guess what!!! They did so good I think I planted too many around eachother. Like a giant bush and it's not good lol
Thank you. I am new to gardening. I bought this kind and was looking for a no frills sow to harvest video about them. I really appreciate the time lapse.
Glad it was helpful!
Much ✊🏼 thanks for sharing & keep those fingers in the shots!! Without them we wouldn’t enjoy the bliss you offer ( ;
My pleasure!!
Thanks you for planting green beans. I come from Thailand. 👀😊😎
You are most welcome and thank you for watching.

How long to from seed to harvesting
This video was interesting for my . And i will try it .
I would have never thought of finding you here, Thanks for stopping by. 😀👍
If you're new to gardening, I would recommend the first thing you tried to grow is a radish perhaps in a paper-cup.
Start with something easier. ruclips.net/video/ZwOG82c4hM0/видео.html
How deep is the planter box you are using for pole beans?
Subbed, nice video! Enjoying your others now too. Keep up the great work.
Awesome, thank you!
Just plant them direct in the garden
I grew up growing The bush green beans back in Iowa. Now, I ;ive in the desert in Az. and growing a garden here has been huge challenge for me! I've started ccntainer gardeningt and so far it's going well! I planted some blue lake pole beans and i'm really surprised at how well they are doing! Mine already have tiny little beans on them and they havent even started to climb yet! Is this normal for them?
Stupid question but.... do you just add the beans to boiling water to cook or do u have to dry them out first?
Just boil them right after you pick them. Don't let them sit around very long
How many times will you be able to harvest on one plant
Am growing indoors and need to know male and female parts for pollination can you help
Are you live in UK? If you are live in Uk, please show, how to protect your plants from winter weather conditions. Thanks
I am currently not in the UK, but these plants were not grown in the UK, these were grown on an island in the Mediterranean sea.
@@YouPlantTube thanks for your reply.
How long does it take for them to start growing
how do you pick and save seeds for a new harvest?
Allow the beans to Mature Fully on the plant and then let them dry well on the vine, then harvest and Dry the pods again if necessary, remove the beans from the pods and store them in an airtight container.

Do you use any type of vegetable food or fertilizer in your soil for your pole beans?
I never use any type of chemical or fertilizers. I feed my vegetables with homemade organic compost, which can be considered a slow-release fertilizer. If I need something drastic, I may use Goat organic fed Goat manure.
how many "vines" per plant?
What do you do with the plant after you've finished harvesting for the season?
I use the left over plants in my soil as fertilizer, really helps
Cut down stall to just above the ground. The plant will release stored nitrogen into the soil at that point. This nitrogen helps build good nitrogen rich soil for next year. Leave roots in the ground! They are the highway for the nitrogen being released into the soil.
I had wind damage and a cold night of 40 degrees. I covered for the cold nights and they seem to have survived from that. Have you ever had wind damage on pole beans and did they recover?
Sorry to hear that. No, I haven't come across such a situation, so I must count myself quite lucky.
@@YouPlantTube they do look like they’re recovering. If they don’t I have plenty of seeds to start again
