User Feedback: As a user/content consumer I think that it would of been helpful to have added the note that since swipe has acetone it can, to a certain degree, “melt” soft gels like polishes that haven’t been coated with a hard gel. I know in some instances that might be what you might want, to melt” a little of the top layer you just filed to minimize the scratch marks a bit etc. It think it also wouldn’t have hurt to add that it was ok to use swipe to clean over the stain resistant top coat, like you did in the video, as it was a hard gel but that swipe wasn’t recommended for ultimate finish gel etc. I don’t normally comment as I’m scared my comments/ feed back might be misinterpreted. Anyways, Thank you guys for sharing all this knowledge. I enjoy watching and learning from your crew.
Thank you for the feedback. We will let the team know. Also, Ultimate finish is a non-wipe top coat so it does not need to be wiped with anything after curing. ❤️
WOW. 😮 saves on having all those others containers of cleaners, dehydrators, tacky removers, alcohol. I havent looked at ingredients yet, but I BET its safer than just straight isopropyl alcohol, or ethyl alcohol, or butyle acetate. Much thx !😊
I miss Greg's vids when he used to do a nail tutorial... not that I don't LOVE the ladies vids as they're super duper talented and I've learned so much and I thank you lots for them. I REALLY wanna own some young nails bits but I'm in the UK. But PLEASE ask Greg to do more vids as he's soooooo talented it's UNREAL and he's GORGEOUS. I miss his face. Grrr
If I don't have protein bond and swipe..., Nails 💅🏻 won't get done. Next to cleaning cuticle and nail bed, this is the most important step. 123 period! Thank you for your great products.
Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge showing your nails and showing us what we need to do for ourselves and for your clients. Can't wait for the next one😊💅
Our non wipe top coat (Ultimate Finish) will dry to its highest shine when cured for 2 minutes. We do not recommend using Swipe once it's cured. We can not speak for other brands of top coat as we do not test them to see how they would work.
Protein Bond is a bonder, not a primer. Protein Bond works more like a double sided tape so it bonds to the nail but then leaves a sticky surface for the product to adhere to,
Protein Bond gives a really good bond to the natural nail so your gel polishes don't peel off. If you soak off, we recommend only using Protein Bond at the free edge.
Protein bond is a non acid primer.. it doesn’t chemically etch the nail like a traditional primer does. Protein stays sticky.. sticks to the natural nail and then sticks the product.
How is isopropyl alcohol different from swipe though? And can i buy swipe and protein bond and other items like paper forms etc in the UK even though I'm not a professional? I'm going to be taking a class soon but I'd love to be able to buy your products please? Edit: I've just been on your site and would LOVE to order the acrylic pro kit as especially since there's a 30 percent discount but do you deliver to uk and to non proffessionals please?
Swipe is an alcohol and acetone based product formulated to cleanse the nail perfectly for product. You would need to contact your closest distributor about buying products. They make the decisions on who they sell to. Our website only ships to the continental US. International usually is higher because of the costs associated with importing it in.
@@youngnailsinc Ok thank you so much for your reply. I REALLY would like to order the kit, even without the discount, so I'll try to find out how to do this. I'll be taking my 6 month course soon as I'm still saving money for it and I'm almost there to be a mobile nail tech 🤞 but i need good products to practice with in the meantime. Edit. I don't mind about shipping fees. I recently bought a load of anacrylics acrylics which cost a blooming fortune in pnp but then I got another bill for £41 from taxes here for some reason but i didn't get any monomer etc with it and i just really want to get the best products really as I'm putting my all into this to become the best nail tech I can be and want only the best and i so want to get the Young Nails products so so much. My mum just asked me what I want for my birthday and I said Young Nails stuff lol. I'll try again but i really appreciate your reply. Thank you lots.
What about ALL THESE YEARS before swipe came along??? And it was techniques used and nails still don’t lift? Also do I use protein bond with dip powders?
Every brand has prep products designed to work with their system and Swipe has always been the nail cleanser designed to work with our product. You do need good application techniques to get good product retention, but you also need a well-prepped nail to start. If you are using the traditional resin dip products, you do not need Protein Bond, but if you are using it with Conversion Gel, you do need Protein Bond.
I used swipe to clean the dust from my nails after gluing on tips and it melted my tips off.. 😩 I was wondering if I can’t use it to soak off my acrylic nails?
Swipe does contain acetone, so it can begin to dissolve and soften the plastic tips. Because it isn't straight acetone though, we wouldn't recommend using it to try to soak off acrylic. Acrylic is a harder product than the tips so it would probably take a lot longer if you just used Swipe.

ManiQ Cleanser is for soft gels because it doesn't have any acetone in it. Swipe has a little acetone in it which works better on hard gels. instagram.com/p/CRzLk9EDt4T/?
Swipe is a cleanser and dehydrator. It is designed to pull the excess oils from the nails. That is what it is doing when you get it on your skin, so the reason your skin looks white or ashy, is because it is dry. Use cuticle oil after the service to replace the oils and re-hydrate the skin.
@@youngnailsinc that make sense since I have really dry skin. I’ve had the same bottle of swipe since my first order from young nails. I wasn’t sure if I did something wrong, so I never used it again. But now that I know it’s normal, I’m going to use it. Lol. Thank you!

I've just found the kit and it's a lot more money here for some reason. It's £170 for the pro acrylic core kit. Thank you for showing me how to get this but why don't I get the 30 percent discount you get in the USA? I'm going to order it but I'm just hoping there isn't a tax in the UK. I can send my email address but I'm not sure I want the world to know my email address lol... if I were to order before the end of Feb would I get 30 percent off?

They make those decisions for their own businesses. Our website only ships to the continental US so any orders you want to place would need to be with a distributor of ours. Unfortunately, our sale is now over.
Swype seriously dries out all the surrounding skin on my hands. It looks like a thin layer of white paste surrounding nail. After top coat is wiped and hand’s washed, it’s gone but skin is left itchy.
If you are getting the product on your skin, you may be having a reaction. We would recommend consulting with your healthcare provider to determine what you are reacting to and then you can figure out a product that does not contain that ingredient. Also, in the future, it is very important that you keep any product off the skin so you don't cause more irritation or further reactions.

After you remove the inhibition layer with the swipe and it leaves the shine do we not need to apply top coat?
Swipe is a dehydrator/cleanser so it will dry and won’t remain shiny. Always want to use a top coat if your gel calls for it.
First, thank you. Love and appreciate all the knowledge you impart. Second, why do you remind me of Jack Black?
wow, thank you so much.

Just a question, I used mani q gel polish yesterday, and it peeled off today all in one whole piece; what could I be doing wrong?
You didn't add the base coat I guess
What are your steps for prepping the natural nails?
Can you use swipe on any non wipe top coat to shine more as well?

What about nail primer? Is protein bond considered primer?
Protein Bond is a bonder, not a primer. Protein Bond works more like a double sided tape so it bonds to the nail but then leaves a sticky surface for the product to adhere to,
swipe replaces dehydrator and primer?
No, Swipe is a cleanser/dehydrator. Protein bond is our non-acid primer.
It is really necessary the protein bond for gel Polish? I don’t have a drill I think it will be more hard to remove it with cotton and acetone
Protein Bond gives a really good bond to the natural nail so your gel polishes don't peel off. If you soak off, we recommend only using Protein Bond at the free edge.
Thanks so much I just received my kit today this protein bond replace the primer correct? Or do I still need to use primer ?
Protein bond is a non acid primer.. it doesn’t chemically etch the nail like a traditional primer does. Protein stays sticky.. sticks to the natural nail and then sticks the product.
Can you explain why swipe turns clear? What’s happening that mines not staying blue?
Swipe can loose the blue coloring if hit by sunlight a lot, it still works the same.
Thank you for this question because I came back from vacation and my swipe was clear. I thought someone had replaced it with alcohol! LOL 😆
Can swipe and mani-Q be used as a slip solution?

Can you guys discuss sanitation after every client.
You would need to check with your state board about what you need to do for sanitation.
Im assuming we use this the same way on hard gel?
Correct.
Is there a video of the shape of the nail?
