This lovely tea bread is bursting with juicy sweet blueberries and brushing on a hot lemony glaze just as it comes out of the oven, not only infuses the bread with a nice citrus flavor but it also makes the bread tender and moist. It is really a pound cake, which makes it perfect any time of the day.

    I made this tonight and OMG!!! This came out SO perfect! It's nice and moist, it has the right amount if sweetness and was SO nice and fluffy and perfectly brown and none of my blueberries burst in the mix! I'm SO proud of myself, I REALLY wanted this to come out perfectly and it did. Thank you SO very much, everything I bake from your site has worked out good, from cookies to cakes, you are ALWAYS my first choice.

      Cook E DoeFace Cook Eeeeeee....my GIRL, how ya doin chickie? This came out SO bomb, imma need you to start baking up some stuff over there because you already got everything else going good over there. I did your peach cobbler a couple if weeks ago and these greedy guys of mine ate two whole pans in two days!!!! You HAVE to try this, it was HEAVENLY!

      It looks good. I don't eat a lot of sweets, that's why I never bake. But I try this one day with a spin to it.😋

    Replaced blueberries with frozen cranberries. Substituted lemon with orange. For liquid, I used half milk, half orange juice. Doubled the recipe and baked it in a bundt pan. added 15 more mintues to bake time. To die for ...

    Made this yesterday and its 👌🏼. Definitely will be a go to recipe. I used frozen blueberries and still came out great: thawed a bit, washed the icy bits out, pat dried, then dusted w flour. Thanks for your great recipes! 😊

      I appreciate your baking: Only, I worry about the sugar content not being healthy. A bread would be healthier without the harmful fructose (simple carbohydrate), which blocks vitamin D absorption. The blueberries have sweetness (& are a complex carb., which is healthy.

    First of all, THANK YOU so much for this recipe. I made it this morning. 1/2 the loaf is gone already. My husband thanks u too!! Coating the blueberries with flour definitely helps. My berries are all over the loaf and not on the bottom. Ur videos are awesome. It's like having u next to me in my kitchen !! ❤️

    hi again Steph, i made this tonight and it's sooo delicious..!!! again my husband loved it.. i used icing sugar and put some vanilla extract to my lemon glazed.. this is so perfect, thank you so much Steph.. you're such a great teacher in baking.. 😊😊😊

    I made this yesterday and it turned out great! very moist and delicious ...I brushed it with orange juice and sugar instead of the lemon, it still tasted amazing.

    I've just baked it. It is really good! Soft, and not too sweet. I only had frozen blueberries, so I put them on top to avoid them sink all the way to the bottom. Thanks for the recipe!

    Wouldn’t have thought about dusting the blueberries with flour to keep them from sinking. Thanks for the explanations and reasoning why! They are very helpful

    I made this just now for tomorrows breakfast, bought some blueberries at costco that were not so great but figured they were perfect for baking...had a sample and it was really yummy!! I love it!! Would make again!!

    Amazing recipe as always!
    It is so tender and flavourful. It is not too sweet. I just loved it. Initially I did not like raw blueberries but after baking they add a beautiful and subtle flavour to the cake.

    Thank you. I just had oranges, so made an orange blueberry bread instead. Did everything the same except.... ..added the small wild berries, but they did not sink at all. Also, substituted some of the milk with 35% cream. For the glaze, used two tablespoons of Grand Marnier, instead of the fruit juice. Lastly, used juliennes of orange zest, soaked in the Grand Marnier/sugar mixture to top at the end.... Lastly, I intend to top the serving slices with an orange flavoured whipped cream.... Thanks for providing your guidance. Also, I really appreciate you mentioning the quantities in grams, which makes it much easier.

    I made this earlier today because I love citrus and wanted to experiment with bergamot zest. It has a divine perfume, which gives Earl Grey its signature aroma. I baked it without the blueberries, though, and it came out perfect. So incredibly moist, thank you! It only needed 42-45 minutes in the oven.

    This recipe is essentially a pound cake that is baked in a loaf pan. A lot of times the name comes from the type of pan the cake is baked in.

    Can I just say I followed the recipe to a T and it came it out delicious (my best bread yet). Normally while baking a delightful aroma fills my kitchen, but during this recipe a burning one did. I was alarmed and beloved this was going to be a failed recipe but I was WRONG. Once I cut into the loaf and took a piece, I was gladly mistaken.

    Thank you for this recipe. I made this today and it was so good. I messed up a bit cause I mistakenly used a 2/3 cup of milk. Luckily it was still okay. Just needed longer to bake.

    When you use a fan oven the temperature needs to be reduced by 25F or 15C. Most ovens do this automatically but some don't. This was possibly the issue here.

    Baked in a fan oven for 45 mins n it almost got burnt. Saved in the nick of time. Lovely recipe. :) Thanx.

    I added the blueberries folding directly into the entire flour mixture. They did not sink. They were well distributed. I used the tynes of the fork all over before putting on the glaze. Barbara

    Yeah. I had reduced it by 15 degrees. But the bread turned out to be lovely. Had replaced blueberries with raisins. Love ur recipes. Thanx,

    Going to make this today, when I cream the sugar and butter and then add the eggs I put a little bit of the flour in so it doesn’t curdled .👍👍

    I bought blueberries today specifically to try this recipe!!! Can you please tell me what is the difference between a bread, a bundt and a pound cake? You mentioned in the video that this is similar to a pound cake. Thanks.

    I do this so that the bread will easily come out of the pan. Otherwise it may stick.

    My lemon zest was stuck on the beaters and I didn’t notice in time. Bread is In the oven now. Doubled recipe and made 3 loaves. Dif. Sizes.
