My name is Celena Rowan, I'm 27 years old. I grew up with my parents on drugs and my dad was very abusive. I listened to Linkin Park a lot. I listened to a lot of stained, LP, Sod and then when I was 16 both my grandparents died and all I had was my little sister. Because of Chester and Linkin Park they helped me beat my demons and helped me see light threw my darkness. The fact that he could never beat his demons and his own darkness hurts. He will never know how many lives he saved, he will never know the people he touched and the amount of love that people have for him. I will forever hold him in my heart and continue to have love for him.

We lost a very kind, beautiful soul. It will never not hurt to lose such a great person, in a world soo full of bad people. In a world where everything is soo wrong and destroyed.
I never heard this song before this performance.......i'm going to keep coming back to this. To see Chester, to remind myself to carry on, and try to be a better kind of person, one that can make others happy.

I don't know much about Chester or Linkin Park (I listened to Hybrid Theory when it came out like most teenagers at the time but that was it.) But it's clear when I watch this that he really loved his fans and it's a great loss to the world that he's gone. Rest in peace Chester. Your light will never go out.

I can't tell you how much this man influenced my life through his words and songs. I'm a 25 year old grown man and I'm in tears. Every time I heard a LP song in a dark moment in my life I could feel Chester's love, pain, sadness, happiness, angst, motivation all rolled into one and it pulled me from that dark place and made me feel like I wasn't the only one in this weird world feeling misplaced and down. It's nuts how someone I don't even know could make me feel so much through a song. I wish I had 5 minutes with him to tell him how he pulled me from darkness into light with his beautiful artistic music. I know a lot of you feel the same way. Please don't waste your talents and your already short life with suicide. R.I.P beautiful soul, I hope that you are blessing angels with your outstanding voice.

Thanks. I can only hope people learn from the death of Chester and Chris that life is such a fragile thing. You can have the money the fame the talent the lavishes of everything good in life and still be unhappy on the inside. The way he cared about his fans was incredible. He took the time afterwards to shake hands, hug and individually look at and acknowledge those people surrounding him. Not many rock stars or celebrities care that much, especially that deep into such a legendary career like he had. I will always regret never seeing Linkin Park live with Chester.

Behind that smile was a broke desperate man trapped calling for help. His release was to make the fans smile whilst he withered inside. Like so many depressed ill people. RIP

Ok, I really dont think this is the best place to do this but I really just need to fucking get it out. The news of his death really didn't truly hit me and hurt until I watched his last interview and last performance where he was holding hands with people in the crowd and singing this song and I'm just so god damn depressed. He's all I can think about, and at age 20 ive never mourned a celebrity death much at all but I'm swarmed with feelings of sadness, guilt, depression and crazy anger. Its like I'm still hoping that tomorrow I wake up and it turns out it was all just a really stupid stunt. Ive know his name and face and had a fondness for him and his work since I was 8 or 9 when my parents always blasted his music and it became concurrent throughout my entire life. Ive cried twice about his death and its the first thing ive cried about in almost a year. I just wish I could hug him. Hold him. Tell him that I'm here for everything and anything, ignoring the fame or his association with the band. Its also showing me that literally anyone can be gone in an instant, rather by their choice or by nature or someone elses choice. Its killing me and I just hope spilling this out here releives it. I fucking miss you man and I've never even met you. I hope you found your solace.

A Skeptical Charmander I've been feeling the same way, I understand where you're coming from. It's hard, very hard to accept that it happened. The day after, I woke up and I didn't want to get out of bed because I knew if I did then this would all be real and not just a dream. But I had to get up, just like Chester and the band tried to get across with this last record, everyone's life is valuable. Once they're gone, they leave those behind suffering from their departure. Even though he knew he would be going against his words doing so, he did it. We have to live with that and move on, despite how hard it may be. I've lost many loved ones, it's always hard, but they wouldn't want us to sulk in our sorrow forever. Even though we don't know Chester personally, the feeling is there, and I understand why.

Andres Ramirez Depression is a monster that's extremely hard to fight. It makes us feel and do things we normally wouldn't think about or do. Sadly he couldn't defeat the monster.

My youngest son was born 7/20/2017. It makes me so sad to think about how one life ends, and another begins! Chester was amazing, and his music helped me thru a lot when I was younger. His song will always be missed by me!!
It saddens me that his music helped so many people (especially me) get through tough times in there lives but his own music couldn't help him get through his... Thank you Chester for all the words that you sang that I could never say. R.I.P

This was the first time I had tears pouring down my face since my ex and I broke up early 2016. He was saying goodbye to his fans, you could see it in his eyes he knew what he was going to do. The fans were so peaceful and let him go when he pulled away, I couldn't handle this video.

I think he was going through some troubles whatever it was, it was likely beyond our imagination, it's probably why he did what he did, i advise not to think about it of why he did that, its not good, but whatever it was, it was bothering him.
I think part of it could of been that alimony thing with divorse involving financial stuff that may have effected him.
