Thank you!
Oof
Wow, Sariel watches RB too!? Actually...makes sense, both make awesome videos about Legos!
Sariel I love your channel!
Hello Sariel big fan
I really liked the idea, but for $50, I wish it had more features, or was a little bigger to house those extra features. I'll buy this in, when it goes on sale for $35. Get well soon, can't believe your still making reviews, even from the hospital!!
Third review I watched on this jeep
having Jeep license, I hope to see Jeep Technic in different scale with decent gearbox and other cool Technic features...
You seem to be breathing hard and too much. Don’t overdo yourself. Have a speedy recovery!
I'd say there is enough functionality for this size. I dont mind having to sacrifice the usual boring engine for a more interesting wheel geometry as here.
Wowowwowowow! Only 24 centimeters! In my country is something very rare! That is so big compared to what is common here on Guatemala!
Anyone: What is Guatemala!?
Me: EXACTLY
it's a miracle I have this frickin set, and I think it is very cool.
PD: great vid RB!
what a cool toy you can find in a Hospital 😁
Thank you for the video. No hassle can stop you! Hope you'll make it home for Christmas. I think it's a great set for an affordable price. Why is the fifth wheel not the hand of god steering? I fix this. And the car needs a few narrow yellow tiles on the edges, gives a better look. Sariel is right with his complaints concerning the front lights. They shouldn't stick out of the front, instead should be integrated...
1st things first, I'm new to your channel and wish you a healthy and speedy return. Next im a huge Technic fan and even though it's a smaller build am a little disappointed in the fact there is no moving engine like the corvette you showed in this video, and it wouldn't have killed Lego to add suspension to the front end either that is a big let down to a set i was looking very forward to. Last thing THANK YOU for what you do, I really love these channels of AFOLS that are a fan of Lego, keep up the great work and wishing you a speedy recovery.
Good to see you back, bro and doing what you love best 🙏🏼🤗
hi, my brother and his gf me one today for my BR. Because we got one jeep wrangler in the same color. i am going to legoup today. so excited about that.
great review
At least you have something to play with in the hospital 😀
I like the general look of the car, but the front lights are a big failure. The lights should be submerged in the front grill, not to be stuck on top of it. This is the most iconic part of Wrangler's look. The way they did it in LEGO, this car looks more like a soviet UAZ-469 (just make it green). Disappointing.
Get well soon
I really enjoy these 50 dollar sets.
The ones that you blurred out are grave digger and Maxd monster truck and I have them the secret ones and the rubicon
3:02 my dad helped me get to that part of the Lego set
how much is the price
yo what happened to the lego technic drag racer
I buy it and motorize it and make double wishbone suspension on all 4 wheels
The breaths between phrases are very audible. You can hear how it is cut off, and then you can hear it again when a new phrase starts. You need to make larger pauses between phrases. But your review is cool (from hostpital, wow), thanks.
Yeah well I'll pay more attention to the editing when I'll have the proper circumstances again :) I don't have my usual equipment and it still takes much more time to do everything, so nex time I hope it will be better :)
The only things it beats 42075 are the wheels
Took me 5 hours to build it for 50 dollars it was well worth it
So, when are you gonna motorized it?
We'll see, not anytime soon
I made a motorized version with powered up components, spent hours and hours on it... please check it on rebrickable rebrickable.com/mocs/MOC-79403/mkolar/powered-up-rc-jeep-wrangler-lego-technic-42122-b-model
hi
You didn’t even show up to tie the rope part…
I didn't do what? You wanted to see how to tie the rope, you need help with that?
this absolute MAD LAD. He did it. He is playing with LEGOS in a hospital
How do you know he is in hospital
Maybe he followed my previous videos? :)
Why don’t they release these new technic sets before Christmas?
They have to get rid of old stuff first. Pure marketing, mate.
Sell the old sets
They sell expensive stuff in august an October to get more money
The blurred out pictures is the 42118 monster jam grave digger and the 42119 monster jam max -d
If it had an engine and rear diff (or even any drivetrain) I would consider modding it and add remote control functions. However, with the size and existing format, I think it would need major reconstruction, unlike the Lego Porsche 911 RSR which is easy to convert. It should be even harder if you want to make it 4WD when there is no existing drivetrain installed in the vehicle.
LEGO truly is the best form of rehabilitation!
Very nice review as always! Anyway, not a bad set...but it could have been much better. I wonder why Lego didn't put soft shock absorbers...hard ones seem to be not enough bouncy for such a light set.
Looking forward for the next reviews and have a fast recovery 😉👍
me too i see soft shocks working better here
Waaait a minute, did you just record a video in the hospital?
yep :)
@@RacingBrick what a madlad
Did you even take the photo thing(the white thing that makes the background white )
I had a small gray photo backdrop on the table if you mean that :)
@@RacingBrick Yes i did, and wow
Great review! I'm glad that you give objective pros and constructive feedback about the cons. I think it's good that LEGO made an affordable and playable Jeep for the kids rather than another Land Rover scale car in the new 18+ range. The price is more than ok for a licensed Technic set compared to previous non-licensed sets at this price point.
I seriously hope that the 42121 excavator has a 2 function gearbox. It has 2 separate linear actuators controlled independently, these axles should merge together to a 2 function gearbox in the main superstructure, you spin ONE gear at the back and you use the gearbox to engage into either the bottom or the top linear actuator. I want it to be like the 8294 excavator
Gearbox isnt the best in all sets
I was expecting something more. So many amazing MOCs that do the Wrangler far better but, like the Corvette, the piece-budget is limited. It’s a good model for what they had. Looks more like a heavily modified Wrangler than a stock version. Would ave preferred the spare tire act as the HOG steering.
This was my first Technic lego. A nice way to get familiar with the style of the build. With just over 600 pieces it didn't take a long time to build, About three hours. It gave me confidence to tackle a bigger project.
Just bought this for my girlfriend who is getting into Lego so it's simple enough for her and she seems to like it she hasn't built it yet but it looks good
Nice Review. I have a question regarding the size of the tires. What is the width of them? By now I can't find any information, neither on the Lego-Site nor on Bricklink. Thanks for your reply in advance.
Width is 26mm
Expected this to be in scale with the Range Rover, however as as smaller scale 50$ representation it's still quite serviceable, and should be great for younger inexperienced builders. Looking forward to your review/thoughts on the upcoming Ferrari.
Great review!! I did a speed build of this Lego set. I liked it but improvements could be made to the set.
Greetings from Poland btw :D Get well soon! Anyways you have something to play with :D
for me, same identical judgment i had for the corvette:
- not accurate reproduction of the real model, but really good afterall if you look at it as a generic one
- some building tips can be educational and give you some ideas
- gonna have a pair of them when on sales just because of pieces
YES! Your thoughts captured the missed opportunity so well. I was JUST telling my wife about how lego needs a jeep two days after building the Technic Land Rover and two days prior to this being announced. I'd love to see a higher fidelity set. The iconic grill on the wrangler being stickers!?!?! Where's the creativity there?
No stickers, prints :) And due to the scale any brick-built solution would look weird I think. They choose the prints to ensure the proper representation of the "iconic grill".
@@RacingBrick missed that. At least they did that then. Not sure it represents the car well though.
I modded my 42122 to have more suspension travel since the back axle's travel is very limited. I made a video about it if anyone else wants to use my mod design.
I am jeep fan and owned a Jeep Wrangler unlimited before. When I first saw it, I'd like to get one. But it's disappointing not have any axle to transmit, I'd modify it with my control set but without axle it will need more parts to do.
If I were a kid I would totally love this set, but I bought the Land Rover already this year so I don't need another offroad car right now xD.
That 42121 excavator looks really promising though, looks like an instabuy when it comes out! You can never have enough LEGO Technic excavators!
But those offroad tires look great I must say!
wiLL this fit to the Lego car transporter, Lower or top deck?
Does this fit on the Car Transporter set? Your McLaren Senna video demonstrates that set doing so, but not this one.
Because when I made this video I did not have the car transporter with me
@@RacingBrick Ah. That makes sense. I am hoping it does fit. I hate how bare it looks with only two cars (the Corvette and the blue car) on it. I am getting both the Jeep and the McClaren, so if it does fit, the model should look a little better.
@@RedCometNurse the Corvette has a dozen alternative models on rebrickable that fit nicely, I suggest to take a look at them.
We just bought this and my 7 yr old grandson put it together. It's the coolest Jeep and line of vehicles that lego has ever made.
Good video Racingbrick
I really wish that this set is motorisable. Anyway, how are you doing, RacingBrick?
Well if you keep the body, with a small power source it is not impossible but the whole chassis needs to be reworked for a motorization. I'm fine thanks, counting the days left before I can return home :)
Hi, I made the mod, chassis completely redesigned from scratch... please see the gallery at rebrickable: rebrickable.com/mocs/MOC-79403/mkolar/powered-up-rc-jeep-wrangler-lego-technic-42122-b-model
@@AlienPrague Awesome!
I think the only reason I would buy this set is for its pieces, like the turntables, suspension, and tyres.
Completely agree with you. It's a small set with good part list. Yellow is pretty common color, the printed front can be useful (as I don't applay stickers), the new panels are OK, especially the small onews
Do you think the model has enough room for motorization? (You should actually add this question to your reviews 😉)
Well I need to try it before making any judgments :) The chassis and the axles needs to be completely reworked for a motorization, so it would not be easy for sure. Don't think keeping the body only would count as a simple motorization :)
Hi, i made the mod :) it was a bit challenging, spent hours and hours on it.. if you omit suspension, its doable. please see the galery/video on rebrickable rebrickable.com/mocs/MOC-79403/mkolar/powered-up-rc-jeep-wrangler-lego-technic-42122-b-model/#details
I got it with a $50 gift card I got for getting vaccinated. Free is not a bad price, I'd say 👌
This is a set I'm definitely getting, for my mom mainly since she loves Jeeps.
I couldn’t build the back seat. The pieces wouldn’t go together
Cool
A great present for jeep fan
Was just curious how you built the front axle to have a better turning angle
Which set is a better option? This or the senna Gtr? The senna looks to have more pieces but less functionality, while the jeep has more functionality but less pieces
I don't think there's a better option, both sets are fine for the price if you don't expect any complex Technic trickery :) You can choose based on the color or the parts, or whether you want to go off-roading or racing :)
Bro Modifi it to the rc
Ayyyyy, we are getting close to 100k subs...
Let's push those subs to get there faster ;)
@@RacingBrick Yeah
Please Blasz make this set into a motorised one !!!!!!!!!
I think it is something like the first responder
This wheels, i'll see the first realistic Tractor mocs
Hey atleast its the most unique set for the truck gang
This set,but with the Jurassic park paint scheme.
I do want to point something out ever video I'm saw they call it a Jeep Wrangler that's a Rubicon
The official LEGO name of the set is 42122 Jeep Wrangler, so that's why everyone calls it this way. As far as I know Rubicon is a type of Wrangler so calling it a Wrangler is not incorrect.
Can i add any wheels to this technic? New to technics and i want to change the wheels and tires to something more “street” looking. Don’t like the tractor look of the tires
There are a lot of choices... Take a look at wheels.sariel.pl, great site to select the similar size
im pretty underwhelmed by this set. not enough functions for the price imo
there is a couple mods on rebrickable
As a life long lego and jeep fan this build frustrates me. This set is such a let down! How do the doors not come off, the wind shield not fold down, the roof is not removable, the rear suspension does not articulate, the rest of the hard top is missing. There are so many things this set got wrong. The set looks ugly and does not do justice to the wrangler. The head lights are ugly. This set could've been revolutionary if lego dared to make a real solid axle housing piece. There is no simple way to make a solid axle with legos. I have a couple ideas floating around in my head on how to make a compact solid axle but I don't have all the pieces to build them so I haven't done it yet. I realize that this should not upset me. It's truly not a huge deal. But this set had so much potential and instead they gave it ugly tires and bad suspension. There are some really good jeep builds out there too! Unfortunately Lego and jeep dropped the ball with this set. I'll still be purchasing this set but I'm definitely waiting for the price to drop.
Seems boring, really. They should have made it as Creator. No point making it Technic as it is now. And no differentials in a 4x4 is a joke.
Best wishes and get well soon
Does it fit on the Car Transporter?
They offer a lot for there size. Have 600 to 800 peices is a lot for the price. Having suspension and a winch in the jeep, having a differential and a engine in the corvette and having butterfly doors and engine in the senna.
Wish it came in different colors
thanks my first ever off road set
Guys check out the BuWizz website they have the motor and BuWizz 3.0 on there!
Why do you have the baseball 9 music for your outtro?
Maybe because they chose the same music for their game?
I will probably get one for my father, who bought a Jeep recently. Not for me though
I think yellow was the worst collor it could of been
Why? Only construction vehicles can be yellow? Don't forget, it's approved by Jeep :)
WHY INVERTED WHEELS!?!?!?!?!?
I buy it and I upgrade it
After u did the first pack on the rubicon did u have 6 extra pieces?
2:11 I own 42116 and 42119.
The best tires are black rims with the mustang tires it looks so good
Peanut butter jelly
I think this set is definitely a "Licence set for kids". By that I mean, children that may be new to Technic and look after some gaming model.
Complications such as Drive train with differential, fake engine, or even active steering wheel are more for intermediate/expert builders looking specifically for the complexity of the integration of such complications.
A friend's kid received it as a birthday gift, he was all over the place, really happy and proud to build it solo.
Your right I'm a John Deere fan and I got into technic because of the tractor
Its good for money
If you motorize it with BuWizz it would be a cool video!
How did the hospital allowed u to make this bid in the hospital
Thanks
It is compatible with 42098?
🖐
Wish the color was green or grey, get well soon as well
I have the set so no need to blur the 2 sets
The video was published in December, those sets will be blurred in this one for eternity...
I would pay $200 for this
I have to ask...do you have leftover pieces or did I miss a step when building?
If you scroll down on this page you'll see the spare parts - rebrickable.com/sets/42122-1/jeep-wrangler/?inventory=1#parts
To the RacingBrick : do you think you will moterise the UCS ecto-1
I did not even have a chance to build it, I will see
