Awesome video mate, loving how information full it is and introducing people to the idea of a cinewhoop. I think you should keep up the content.. maybe even include some fellow pilots haha.
Very cool seen the video and it's what sent me down this path!!! I'm a noob coming from camera drones and just now getting into FPV finding freestyle is hard. This is what I find my self doing cruising around this seems like this would be a good match for me!!!
Hi, My friend broke my eachine novice 2, I was not bad at flying arround my house and little gates, is it a good choice to buy a cinewhoop now like the reptile cloud 149 ? I think I'm not ready for freestyle and race now, so the cinewhoop would be good to practice in safety and on a small yard, aren't the physics to much different between a novice 2 and a reptile cloud style cinewhoop ? Later I would like to do a real freestyle racer drone. My biggest concern is, wiil learning on a cinewhoop mess up my feel of flying when going to racer ?
Zaka Pentax I haven’t flown either of those drones specifically but the flight characteristics between a Cinewhoop and a full size 5 inch racing/freestyle drone are similar. In big open spaces the bigger ones are actually easier to fly as they are more responsive and can handle the wind but I’d recommend a Cinewhoop for tighter spaces and for safety. It should be a great stepping stone to the next one 🙂
Adrenaline Films I’d recommend either a Hobbywing or a Matek FC. It won’t really make a difference to the flight controller if you use the DJI system, so any modern decent FC should be fine. From what I’ve seen the HD footage that you get from the DJI FPV system isn’t as good as a GoPro Hero7. So it seems to just be an expensive way to basically get a slightly more immersive FPV experience. I haven’t tried DJI first hand but I can vouch for the tried and tested FPV system of: Fatshark goggles, FrSky Taranis Radio, TBS unify vtx, and Foxeer or Runcam FPV camera. Hope that helps 🙂
Hi Magic, I am impressed with this little Whoop, the design is impeccable and I like the custom camera attachments! I am just starting out my self, and am in the market for a qwad at the moment, however this Whoop will be my next venture as it fits my style better. Thank you for the informative video. these little drones are revolutionizing the drone world as we know it. Drone On!™
The one I’m running at the moment (Sector150 www.hglrc.com/?ref=l80eanascup ) is around 460g including battery and a Hero7. I can’t weigh the Squirt but I think it was closer to 600g. What’s yours?
Love my betafpv 75x mashup although feels a little under powered now with the caddx turtle v2 Iam using the betafpv aio 2s board with the modular 7 vtx and 2s is the max I’d imagine nice vid bud 😉
jon hoyles the Caddx Turtles look great! I was an early adopter of the Runcam Split unfortunately 😂 and it was an absolute nightmare! Seems like they’ve come a long way since then
You can’t buy this setup as a complete kit, so you would have to look at the components listed in the video and then get some Fatshark goggles and a FrSky Taranis Radio. There are some full setups on the market but I’m not sure how good they are. If you search ‘Ready to Fly Cinewhoop’ in Google or something along those lines, I’m sure you’ll find something 🙂 Hope that helps
Great video. I am new to the hobby and looking for a 3" cinewhoop with HD camera (4k hybrid) and GoPro mount. Is there any BNF you recommend or would it be better to build my own?
It’s always good to build your own but there are some great Pre built cinewhoops on the market now. I’ve flown the iFlight Megabee and was very impressed but it needed the PIDs pinned in the comments of this video. I think Joshua Bardwell just released a video comparing Cinewhoops, so that might be worth a look too. ... You can definitely get things cheaper now anyway! 😊 Welcome to FPV 😎
Hi Magic FPV, informative video. Thanks for it. I would like to know which radio will be suitable for this cinewhoop and other fpv quads? Pls suggest me. I'm new to this hobby. Thanks in advance, Muthu
Rengaiyan Muthu I’ve used a FrSky Taranis X9D for about the last 4 years, which has been pretty solid. The FrSky QX7 is also good and a little cheaper, and I hear the Jumper T16 is great if you can get hold of it
Paddy Pilot I’ve had a Mobula7 (not HD), and they’re great fun but nowhere near as stable as a camera platform, and not as good quality HD as a GoPro. If you want to fly for fun around your house etc and post semi decent footage then go for a Mobula7 HD but if you want a solid camera platform to get some beautiful, creative video then go for the Cinewhoop with a GoPro
Great video! I'm currently flying a mavic2pro and the only thing holding me back from building a CineWhoop is the extremely short flight time of 3-4 minutes. If i wanted to double the flight time, would I need a bigger frame for a 1700mah battery?
StopLossLOL you could try a bigger battery but then it adds weight, so there’s a sweet spot. You’ve got to think why do you need longer flight times? If you’re flying something slow and stable like a Mavic you need it to be up in the air for a while to get in position etc. With the Cinewhoop it’s 3-4 mins of pure action, and if you use the entire shot, that’s a long single shot to put in any edit. To be honest I can regularly get 5 minutes out of mine, maybe even a touch longer (it depends how fast you fly), and with just 4 batteries that’s 20 minutes of killer footage. I would recommend building light and buying more batteries. Hope that helps 🙂
Bit late to the party here but I was wondering about the weight, don't think you mentioned that. Is it under the UK classification for flying near people without doing a course? Great content as always, cheers.
This was before the regulations but Cinewhoop like the Shendrones Squirt do tend to be over 250g. Nowadays there are a lot more options that are lighter, especially if you use something like a GoPro Bones camera
Neil Camara basically being able to put it in places that other drones can’t go. It takes a bit of practice and some piloting skill but you have full manual control on an fpv drone with no proximity sensors etc, so you can fly them through tiny gaps, inside, outside, and wherever your creativity takes you. There’s nothing like the stability you get from DJIs or Parrots but FPV drones are a lot more dynamic. Have a look at a guy on RUclips called Airblastr ... it will blow your mind 🤯
Neil Camara yes but the cinewhoop can be flown around people at parties etc, or around expensive things (because it’s slower and has prop guards). That’s it’s one main advantage compared to anything else
Drone Mania thanks. I think the closest thing would be something like the iFlight MegaBee but I haven’t flown one, so not sure how good they are. The parts for the one in this video are easier to source now, and it’s an easy build (comparatively speaking anyway) 🙂
MH Air Lines about 4 minutes but if I’m getting the perfect lines I’ve flown them until it drops to the floor before (not ideal) and it’ll go for about 6 minutes. With 4 packs this gives me about 20 minutes of footage, which is more than enough to capture what I need for now. Hope that helps 🙂
cinewhoop not for freestyle, but many people think it can do freestyle. if could do freestyle with cinewhoop, please get cinewhoop with not duct and gopro but open guards and 4k board like runcam hybrid. it can do both cinewhoop and freestyle. 😅 that's why man with cinewhoop has also 5 inch freestyle drone.
omar elgohary I’d say 30-40mph easily enough (with no wind). It depends on the setup. For the faster flying I’d recommend a full 5 inch FPV Drone though
Wow thanks for this info I got rid of my mavic but I have been seeing these and was thinking of getting into this!! Looks like it would be perfect for what I film!! Can u buy one fully built? I am in the US
Mark Fisch I’m not sure if there are any pre built cinewhoops yet but it’s probably only a matter of time. You can definitely buy full setups of the bigger 5 inch ones. I would search ‘rtf’ (ready to fly) fpv drone etc and see what comes up. Rotor Riot have a great new series on their RUclips channel about ‘how to FPV’

Harald at the moment I prefer the HGLRC Sector 150. There’s not a lot of difference between them but I’m struggling to find a good tune for BetaFlight 4.2 on the Squirt
@@MagicFPV I had trouble finding a good tune for my squirt too for BF4.2 in the beginning. But since a while after several test flight I think I am there. See my latest video on my YT channel (Realsteady Go used). If you are interested I can share a diff all. The only issue I have with the Squirt is that it is hard to fly in windy conditions, I think the HGLRC will come in handy in windy conditions.
Harald it also struggles in wind but is perhaps marginally better. You should post the tune in the Cinewhoopers group if you’ve cracked it on Betaflight 4.2! 👍
wow, amazing content! I just started out with drones and i'm building a 5 inch quad right now. i'm wondering if i can just print a set of ducts whiteout impacting preformance all that much. this cine style flying suits me way more than freestyle. I think the autorities would also be way more relaxed about it rather than someone with a fast freestyle quad buzzing around.
Ridouan Afellah thanks. After speaking to a few of the top guys about PIDs for 4.2, currently NOBODY has found any good ones! If you search the cinewhoop FB group you can find some for 4.1 but personally I didn’t like them. If possible I would stick to 3.5 or 4.0 until things catch up. It’s ridiculous but that’s the situation at least for now

I've tried everything to betaflight 4.2.2 it doesn't really run. Thanks now that I know. so be patient :) Then you can tell my mine which betaflight 4.0 for rates? then I try this one further
I would recommend just going for a 5 inch fpv drone like this: uk.banggood.com/custlink/3K3hp16dEj unless you specifically want to fly indoors and around people in which case go for a Cinewhoop or look at the Betafpv 95x... basically the 5 inch is the most versatile and nicer to fly. Hope that helps 🙂
@@MagicFPV Oh yes, the Nazghul, it was in my shopping cart once befor but didnt buy it xD For the past weeks there have been many drone that got into my shopping cart on various website but didnt got trhough, i have been on the perfect drone hunt... but it doesnt exist, Ofcourse the freestyle ones where my first search, than i come across the fast Racing drones, than the Long range drone, and lately the Cinewhoops, since they where great on flying slow and around peoeple, but didnt though that Cinewhoops are that loud... Id like something in between, having it still fast and make freestyle mannouvers, while having a Cinewhoop Build not as noisy to fly around People, and it should be with the DJI cam, and a build in Crossfire for the range and reciever. I already have decided wich Goggles (Dji) and Radio (Tbs Tango Pro2) to buy, its really just the drone xD
@@brucedoyle4055 I understand your predicament! It never used to be this complicated 😆 Take a look at my latest flight video ( ruclips.net/video/b7SAow118Os/видео.html ), every single shot was done with the same 5 inch FPV Drone similar to the Nazgul5. You will see low, high, fast, slow, tight spaces, cinematic, and some freestyle tricks. None of the other styles of drone can do all of those things! That’s why I’d recommend going for the 5 inch if you’re going for versatility
@@MagicFPV You know one tiny thing (pretty silly) that prevents me to just already get the Nazghul or the iFlight titan xl5 since they have mostyl everything i need is that the props are visible on the screen, wich doesnt bother that huge but, since i dont wanna spend cash on a Go Pro... So i would just use the DJI Camera footage wich is good enough for me, except without props on the screen..
@@MagicFPVCan you kinda Picture my "dilemma",can you prefer an nice 5 Inch with Crossfire and Dji, that is as you described above just without props on the scren? (Thanks for your help and answeres)
Magic FPV Not yet. I need to become a better pilot before I mount my $350.00 GoPro😊. I just bought the iflight Cinebee and am looking forward to flying it. Of course, as soon as I bought it, the wind has been too strong to fly.
Steve Handford Fpv yeah they’re huge aren’t they, (and LOUD! 😂). I thought the same but can still hit some tight gaps though, and nice and stable for the big GoPro
Yer They look great mate perfect for exploring new bando,s, I bet It won’t be long before other companies jump on the bandwagon and start making some more cinewhoop frames 🤔 definitely see my self building one at some point 👍
As a real beginner i become annoyed when i hear something like it’s safer to fly around people (simple enough for beginners), then i hear it’s got crossfire (really? How’s a beginner to know what that is? What’s the difference/benefits between that an another receiver/transmitter?, etc). How does a beginner determine what to buy if terminology is thrown around as if we know what’s being said?
Jason Woon you could and I know a few people who like to have the option of angle mode but personally I fly full acro (manual mode) only. I don’t even have angle mode setup on it. With a low camera tilt it’s easy to hover and be precise in acro 🙂
I am an absolute Novice to all this drone stuff, I bought a DJI Mavic Mini about 4 months ago (Yeah, quarantine made me do this). Since then, I feel like many of the shots in the Internet that you see are made with self-built-drones. So I started watching your videos and one thing that I saw often when it comes to drones like this is that the flight-time is only 3-4 minutes. Is that really enough for long-range flights?
Niidforseat good question, and welcome to FPV 😎 The main thing is- you can cover the same distance as something like a Mavic in a fraction of the time because they are so much faster. The specialist long range fpv quads can go a lot longer than 3-4 mins but yes that is typical for Cinewhoops and Freestyle/Race builds. The solution is... more batteries! Haha. Hope that helps 🙂
@@MagicFPV I can imagine that it's much more thrilling to fly a thing with 100kph and no return home button than to fly a chilling round with your DJI. But you have to start somewhere :D
Niidforseat definitely. DJIs are amazing for beautiful stable footage but there’s nothing like the rush of becoming a dragon 🐉 it’s literally like being gifted the super power of flight! 😎
Dude I am sorry but you look exactly like Lithuanian mate I met 8 years ago in London when I worked there - from face you are his twin brother... Don't get it as offence but only I am thinking if that isn't you actually years later..??
Sticks Fpv I lost most of the footage from my pids video so need to re shoot. Meanwhile- I’ve pinned the PIDs in the comments of this video, so have a look at that pinned comment, and try those pids! I got them from Fincky, and they are game changing!
vracan actually if you get the DJI FPV system it’s beautiful HD through the goggles too. Either way- Cinewhooping is all about the footage you get afterwards, not the actual flying experience. If you want the best flying experience I’d recommend a 5 inch FPV drone with the best analogue setup or the DJI system 🙂 I agree that it can be misleading to newcomers though 👍
@@MagicFPV Thanks for the reply and suggestion. I already have a DJI drone and googles but cannot fly it much with all the new regulations happening so thinking of selling it. So I would like a replacement drone for live FPV(don't care much about the footage afterwards), but to avoid all the anal regulations it needs to be less than 250g. Will the Cinewhoop(with dji system) weigh less than that?

Im pretty new into FPV, and still decide wich Drone to get, how fast are they compare to a freestyle or racing drone? Is it still good for freestyle?
I enjoyed the video. I assume you know about the iflight Megabee. It is a 3” BNF that can carry a GoPro.
Mark Kenney yeah it looks good. Have you got one?
Magic FPV Not yet. I need to become a better pilot before I mount my $350.00 GoPro😊. I just bought the iflight Cinebee and am looking forward to flying it. Of course, as soon as I bought it, the wind has been too strong to fly.
Mark Kenney I know exactly what you mean 👍
Good work pal didn’t realise they where as big as that to be fair, like it though 😜
The video from your drone was fantastic, what do you use for post processing.... by the way you have been subbed!
Keith Nerison thanks 👍 I use Final Cut Pro X on a MacBook to do everything in post. It’s a great editing tool 🙂
I'm guessing you fly a cinewhoop in Angle mode?
Jason Woon you could and I know a few people who like to have the option of angle mode but personally I fly full acro (manual mode) only. I don’t even have angle mode setup on it. With a low camera tilt it’s easy to hover and be precise in acro 🙂
Flight time?
Shane Dabrowski I’d say 4-6 mins per battery
Great video and info. Thanks! -Nate P.S. Get some affiliate links dude!
Airgun Channel thanks mate! Great idea, I’ll look into it 👍
Another great Video mate and a trip down memory lane, # carpark rippjng
SUPERTATO FPV my thoughts exactly! Those car par sessions were so fun 😁 ... summer now though, so more fun to be had 😎 ☀️
i am new to fpv
Frosty Guys welcome 🙂
Nice work subbed 😉🤙 what about tuning main guide Line on those things...
Thanks! I have a tuning video coming soon...
Brilliant Mate..!!really nice info👍 Sub'D🙏
Thanks mate! 😁
Good job mate, like and sub 😁👍,, edu.
edu bermudez thanks edu
sub from 🇦🇷 , muy buenoo
Agustin AR thanks! What’s the FPV scene like over there?
Literally all the video 😁😂😂
@@MagicFPV Thanks! I guess the problem with the batteries will solce itself in a few years with better technology.
Niidforseat yeah exactly! We’re all holding out for better battery tech 🤞 although I’m not sure I can take a 10 minute adrenaline rush 😅
Artur Wiktorski haha, must be my doppelgänger 😂 ... unless I’ve forgotten my Lithuanian heritage again 😉 😂 👍
When you doing a pid video
Sticks Fpv I lost most of the footage from my pids video so need to re shoot. Meanwhile- I’ve pinned the PIDs in the comments of this video, so have a look at that pinned comment, and try those pids! I got them from Fincky, and they are game changing!
@@MagicFPV thanks budd
this is soo misleading becuase what you actually see in the goggles is awful and does not look anything like what is shown here in live flight!
vracan actually if you get the DJI FPV system it’s beautiful HD through the goggles too.
Good content, but if you want more views/subs you could try talking slightly more clearly and confidently. Good luck!
mortaché de muerte thanks, I’m just working with what I’ve got. I’ll try to improve if I can. Hope it was helpful in some way
@@MagicFPV it was good! I hope you get much more subscribers and make lots of videos haha! Good luck!
