Just passed my pre-trip here in Nevada yesterday! Our pre-trip here in Nevada is much more concise. They make us describe things a lot more. I still have my skills and my driving on Friday! Wish me luck! The funny thing is I was the only girl in my class and they really didn’t think I was going to pass anything😂😂😂😂

Great video, one question I’m going to be doing my pre trip and road test next week is it required to mention the 5th wheel and locking jaws in whichever card you pick A,B,C just like the Incab which is 100% mandatory.
In Ohio we are required to do so but roughly only 5 points. Someone tested last week and missed the whole 5th wheel and passed. Good luck to you
Hey Hansel, this is my second time I fail my pre trip test. First I missed a couple of items. The second time I had to do the full inspection of truck and trailer under 45 min. but unfortanelly I ran out of time. Can you do a video of full inspection under 45 minutes to make sure we cover everything under the time frame. I don't want to fail in my last try.. Thank you brother. Blessings!

Headlights are bent from factory lol. Not crack or broken it’s clean and clear.

Do yu have to say sliding pintle and and hitch release lever? Those are in the handbook but I was told we don't have them on the truck would we have to let them know that?

This pre inspection is to much I just got my permit so you miss 1 and they fail you? How do day test you let's say I pass the cab and fail outside next time I come back will they test me on the one I passed ? Or no
I been studying this video and the in cab inspection. Due to some personal problems I stopped for 2 weeks. I cant find the in cab inspection video. Seems to be removed. Is there a way to see it. It was the best video I had found for the in cab.

Depends what section you randomly pick. A-engine, B-side of truck, C-trailer

It depends on what part they give you but at the same time you should study the whole pretrip because they can give you the whole truck wish you well! 🤞🏾

Armando Ruelas you can randomly pick A,B,C, or D. The D card is the whole truck.

@@armandoruelas9118 A = under the hood (steer Axle and Front lights) B = Side of truck (from the mirror bracket to back tractor lights & Drive axle) C = Front, Side and back of the trailer & Trailer axle) Coupling & Incab is 100% mandatory also.
ACE Kings CDL one last question is do you have to double clutch whenever they take you out to drive?
Armando Ruelas the book says you have to double clutch. Although, some testers don’t care.

Wrong correction. When you apply breaks there should not be any play. So I said it write on the video
@@happynew009 just a question.. So when we are checking the push rod and slack adjuster during the pre trip we are checking them with the brakes released?
Most of the time trucks must be on brakes when they are parked so there should not be any play when you’re checking your slack adjuster but if the vehicle is not on breaks yes there is a play of 1 inch
During your pre-trip inspection you just point at them, you don’t pull them
The point of a pre trip inspection is to mimic an actual real world example in front of the DMV Examiner.. that's what I thought was the point.
