The old man tries to keep it real, and I like that. I have two sons myself, 1 is 30 the other just turned 29. And though we work together everyday now and our small body shop, I promise there have been challenges just like the old man presented in the video prior to this one. That's part of life family, its not easy at times and other times it's a breeze and the most fun we can have. That hug was epic and I think many of us can completely relate. Keep bringing it old man, Billy and Tommy. I will keep up and watch to the end and hopefully meet y'all in the future!

I'm 37 and always helped my dad work on cars and trucks and he helped build my first mustang, unfortunately I lost him to cancer in 2013 s to see that hug hit me in the feels pretty hard because I was 19 or 20 when we built my mustang so it took me back down memory lane. Sweet , I know the feeling , At our local track back in the mid eighties we ran King Of The Hill trophy every Wed night , I was King of the Hill for 5 weeks straight with a car I hand built in a two car garage with nothing more than an elec drill , didnt even have so much as a vise , went thru a 32 car field two Wednesday's in a row , normally was a 16 car field , Was King Of The Hill when the track closed for good in winter of 87 , car was not that fast ran a 11.50 @122mph every pass , It 's all i could afford at the time with two small kids and a mortgage , they started calling me the King , Earned respect feels good !,
I hardly ever brag about it but seeing Billy run brings out the memories .
Keep the vids coming and Congratulations to the Hoskinsons

Racing anywhere from Ohio to Nola, Texas, & many more events all over the Mid West & Eastern United States. Nobody has worked harder than Bill & Billy to get where their at. I remember at Combs at the Arm-drop race in 2016 when we all were standing around talk and Billy was talking about starting the SRC Channel. All it takes is a little determination, hard work, & blood sweat & tears to make your dream happen. Y’all are a GREAT INSPIRATION to all new comers & even veterans of what we do. It’s been ONE HELL OF A RIDE!!! & if you started over today I’d follow you the same💯 Y’all as STREET as it gets, glad I got to know ya & race with ya💯💯 Good luck on the next adventure, I’ll be watching & waiting💯😝💯 Sorry so long🤷🏼‍♂️

The editing, visuals and soundtrack in both Part 1 and Part 2 of this story were excellent.
The frustration that Bill expressed about raising children into adulthood was heartfelt and honest.
The hug was the payoff, it to was heartfelt and honest.

Dad,, the first pass wasn't a total dud at all, you learned what it would NOT do and you made corrections. THEN the 'little truck' boogied pretty good. Back to the learning. Each pass as you know very well be it fast or not is a learning exercise. You were into a place you hadn't been before with the truck but you learned, adapted and pushed forward. Soon you'll have Tommy's little truck back in your shop and even though his truck is on ground you do know, it's a different truck so the learning will resume. You're one hell 'uv a builder/tuner. You will figure it out. :) SRC Garage is ROCK'N ON INTO 2021,, SEND IT!

Damn.... Who would have thought that a man whos so old school that he runs a carb with forced induction, with nothing more than an Iphone, could make videos like this. I bet this "old man" never thought the internet would be a major part of his calling.

He's got it figured out. That's for sure. They're destroying so many "computer" vehicles with the carburetor setup.
Yes, I know the boost is computer controlled.... You get the jist.

Again, all these little tips that you toss in the narrative are a big help. I'll never be at your level but as someone with little $$ I can't afford to make mistakes anywhere. I appreciate the cards you show. Good content, racing and mechanics always first priority here, I'm a better racer 21 minutes later. Congrats on hard won win, the fruits of persistence and details...........
