You guys are my new favorite channel! I thought i recognized Kielyn… and my partner is like… hey that’s the badass sweet woman from Alone! We were so rooting for you. LOVE this channel!! Great job editing the videos and all the hard work is just amazing.
Wow great looking sauna, I am very impressed. Solid cedar like that will be amazing when heating. The old style of insulation used in traditional saunas was moss but I think the fibreglass will be just fine. One other tip for starting your sauna stove is to start with big logs and go up to kindling, one match to light it and leave it to burn. Thanks for reading a Finn’s thoughts from COLD Canada.
This is great to see, realy amazing. I'm a Canadian born and raised in Kingston ON now living in South Australia and am about to build my own sauna. Definitely not able to put in as much ceder hahahaha but still going to do my best. Id like to share what i build. Wish me luck lol😂
100% its awesome, Im in sudbury but have a boat access camp in gogama. Looking at getting the logosol mill to eventually build some things. We just insatlled a new solar system but sauna is next on my list. We don't have cedar but pine, birch and poplar is abundant. I have heard poplar is great for saunas
I think you are supposed to offset the two concave cutting knives so they both wont cut centered. you could set them the same as the convex cutters so they match and cut wider
Hmm, I've looked at a few good ones over the years, but B Allan Mackie's "Notches of all Kinds" was the one that I used as a specific reference for cutting the dovetails.
Inspiring video. Enjoyed watching and also learning from it. The logosol saw mill looks cool. Do you have fresh air coming into the sauna and an exhaust pipe in the ceiling?
awesome outdoor lumbering video. I'm wondering are you up for a brand collaboration? We are looking for channels to work with to make more cool content about outdoor life, lumbering wood works, the tips of how to use chainsaws and make them in good condition.
Love how you kept the logs all different sizes, gives it much more character than being all 6 by 4's. Beautiful work
That housecoat at the end!! WTF!! My wife definitely needs that. Looks like a winter jacket gone domestic.

Did you have plans you were following for this? Or rather some source material for the construction methods?
I swear you can't be lazy at y'alls house!
In the video you guys talk about a book for building log cabin. Please let us know which book you are referring to.
Thank you!

Reminds me of the movie Jeremiah Johnson.

Right now we just leave the door open afterwards to vent humidity, but we'll add some purpose-built venting sooner or later
My back hurts watching you load those logs.
Could you do a video dedicated on how to cut the dovetail joints?
I can add it to the list!
Cool
You Guys must Iive in Canada 🍁?

170 it nice.
It is pronounced SOW-na not saw-NA
No, it's pronounced sauna. There is no o or w 😂 like your last name leppälä, finnish name like sauna and löyly 👍
