You should laid out everything in the pack to see how much it holds and give people ideas of what different types of things you could possible carry. Other than that it’s a good review. I have one as well and I agree with everything you said about it. The biggest criticism of the bag is almost always the wide strap. But in reality it’s a big benefit. Your wearing it the correct way, slung low and with the wide part on your back instead of up against your neck.
It is a well constructed bag, my main issue is that it isn’t ambidextrous, as I prefer left shoulder carry. The built in water bottle compartment is a nice touch, and the Molle on the inside is nice as well.
I do like the bag. I wish the strap wasn’t as wide as it sits against my neck, I don’t want to wear the bag low, I want it right and high against my chest. Yes the buckle is a little noisy when walking. Abs my biggest gripe would be, I wish the strap was like the Moab 8 where you can switch which side the strap goes to, the LV10 it’s stuck to left side so the bag will always sling over your right shoulder. I understand they may had done it so the ccw pocket is always accessible one side/way. I also wish you could remove the lower strap/stow the main strap into the back of the bag to use it purely with the handles. I like the water bottle section in the bottom, wish it didn’t take up so much room in bag but it does that to keep expansion inside the bag body.
Yep! I couldn’t agree more! I did a review on this bag and it’s awesome! I have had it for about a year now and still it’s my go to bag! I carried all the stuff at Disneyland just recently and it worked great! Also I have the bag collection too! 🤓🙈🤣🤣🤣
I just picked one of these up and absolutely love it. Its great for short hikes, walking, urban walking, touristing..etc.. awesome bags. Holds just about everything one would need on a day out.
I'm disappointed ! I use the LV10 as my edc bag for 3 years : great and unique sling bag ! But a lot of improvements to be expected in the 2.0. But it's quite the same bag with the same problems not fixed. Not a 2.0, just a 1.1 release.
One disadvantage of this type of bag is the difficulty to wear it while driving. I prefer wearing my sling bag even while driving with the seatbelt on.
I just bought the 511 ccw Fanny at the store today, and my wife’s says to me “you have more bags than I do” I’m like yeah ok…. 😂. I do have alot of packs thou 😂
Hey man, great review. I have an odd question: can you wear this bag on your chest/front? Reason I'm asking is I'm looking for a bag that I can travel with that's not a backpack; I have a TNF Base Camp Duffle I use instead of a suitcase because it has shoulder straps I can sling it over my back and carry it with. Problem is, is if I have a smaller backpack as my carry-on, I can't carry both on my back. Looking for a temporary solution to get from airports to train stations and whatnot on foot with 2 bags and free hands, one being a Base Camp Duffle. Thanks.
511 often screws up by taking it upon itself to decide for customers what customers will carry in their bags and how they will or should arrange them. An example in this video is the inclusion and location/arrangement of the CCW strap. However, I think in the newer model that panel is all velcro. Another example is their 42" double rifle case. Super annoying: The external pocket is designed for carrying 5.56 magazines, only. Why assume that customers are buying for a 5.56 rifle? Also, on the interior, while one wall is properly covered with molle all the way from end to end, the other wall has only a small amount of molle in the very middle. Why not cover that wall entirely with molle, just like the other wall? Also, the bag does not clamshell open completely. It almost does, but not quite. You have to force it to open all the way. I you don't, it flip-flops from one side to the other while you're moving things around in it. Annoying. It would clamshell all the way if they simply extended the zippers just another inch on each end, but they didn't. Why not? I communicated with one of ladies there who I think is a supervisor in design, and she said that they don't want contents to "spill out." Spill out? Why would they spill out? This is a rifle case, not a lady's purse. Besides, the case is almost all the way open, anyway. Also, if you don't want to open case all the way, you don't have to. You can zip it only part way on both ends.
It's not anbidextrious, so it's not acceptable. I am right-handed so I carry the bag on my left shoulder. This bag is useless to me. This is sad because previous Rush series bags were ambidextrous.
Outstanding review!! Nice to see someone else has a collection of Packs/Bags for EVERY occasion!!!!!!!!!

I love how you can tuck away the 5.11 tag. I prefer non branding items especially when I’m carrying.
I love mine. Sometimes I'll even use it on a one or two night road trip when I can pack light. It's a very well thought out bag. Good stuff.
Going on 5 years using this bag for EDC.
I do it for 3 years. But the improvements of the 2.0 is quite nothing !

Looks good, looking for a small replacement for minimal range bag but multi purpose.
Awesome review. Thank you.
HOW IS 5/11 QUALITY VS MAXPEDITION / VANQUEST? (ZIPPERS /STITCHING )

Yes you can do this. I have the base camp duffel as well and use the 511 lv10 v1.

Will this hold a full size Springfield Echelon?
I love the bag but it is uncomfortable after a while. I think I am going back to the original backpack.
Would you use it for fishing?
holy fuck $170 bones????

It is ambidextrous. The hot tab is on the left and right side.
@@rholland8708 Yes, but you can't switch to left shoulder.
