I've looked at several slings and waist packs in the last week. I'm trying to replace my blackhawk 5 5 10 that I bought in 1997. Yes 1997. It's still usable but times have changed and unfortunately i need to carry more edc gear. The blackhawk was good but limited in size and scope. I'm torn between the Hill People Gear waist pack and the 5.11 LV8. The Hill People Gear is out of stock. The LV8 appears to have a little more room and more versatile carry modes. I'd probably hack off the compression straps though. Thanks for posting this video, very detailed and I can actually see in the bag unlike other videos. Good job.
Dood that’s amazing. The upgrade from the sheer amount you can carry and the peace of mind alone seems like a awesome choice. All your essentials seem really well thought out and stuff too; it doesn’t look really bulky or anything even all loaded out but it’s good to know where all your stuff is at also. Lol nice pick up man. Appreciate all the effort for making this video ~~
Great video ! I appreciate the detail covering everything. Could you try showing it slimmed down? I need to see how the compression straps work. Inplan on getting this sling to attach to my 5.11 Daily Deploy backpack. This way the lv8 sling will be my e DC and I can quickly attach to outside of my backpack with molle attachments. But I need it compressed to avoid excess bulkiness.
I love the padded strap, really helps with the weight of the bag and I could carry it all day. I’ve seen people swap out the strap because of its bulkiness, but I don’t see myself doing that at all.
I have a 5.11 store just a few blocks away from where I live. I'm gonna have to visit some time to see whats up. My edc bag is an old vaultek sling and it's just holding on to it's last dying breathe. 😂

1997?! They don’t make them like that anymore.

Really great vid. How does the bag feel on your shoulders when you have it all loaded up? Does it feel ok to walk around with all day? Thanks!

Perfectly clear video....... Thank you
Great video.
With all the stuff you have you should try the LV10 version it’s a little bigger.
Great review really like the content

i didn't even know vaultek made bags 🧐
what are the internal dimensions of the bag? I'm looking for something to take my camera with a tele lens out with and this seems pretty close
What did you decide?
@ I ended up going with Bellroy 10L camera bag. Love it. I also got their small sling and it’s also great.
Perfect review
