I played one of these absolute monsters at guitar center when they first came out. There is no describing the crushing tone coming out of these full stacks especially with that 2x15 cab. 🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯 And then, to play the amp at full volume! 🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯
Had this myself. Bought the head shortly after it came out, later bought the 4x12 and 2x15 cabs. Pretty disappointed with the head (sold it) but still use the cabs to this day (with a Mesa triple recto 211 shows and counting)
The original Warhead was in fact so much a failure, Dime used his old RGs and Centuries live at all times. They later re-did it with the Warhead X2, which is a totally different kind of a beast.

i'm confused by the 4 differetn tones near the beginning, i'm totally blind so if it was mic placement that would make sense but i wondered about it, the first one had so much 1600 hz i was worried it'd be all like that
@@lycancatt4248 thanks for writing. The different tones at the beginning were the different speaker combinations in the 4x12 and 2x15 cabinets. There is a crossover in the top 4x12 cabinet that sends the lower frequencies to the bottom 2x15 cabinet. Not sure what the roll off frequency is. But those clips showed the isolated sounds of each cabinet and then both together.

No boost or overdrive. The gain knob is a push-pull on the amp and when you pull it out it adds extra gain boost. Other than that the gain is all the amp. Only pedals I ran were a Hush noise reduction and Phase 90.

I have a warhead combo that I've never been real happy with sometimes it sounds okay but it it changes it's like you'll be playing and I'll send you plugged into another amp and sometimes for the better sometimes for the worse it just changes all the pots are shot it was an impulse buy on eBay and I paid a crapload for it just cuz I didn't want to lose it was like a drug . I'll let them come sit there playing that I think I could have had a full stack for the same price but I cannot find this exact one anywhere it's a little different from any of the other compost I see it's either a fake or a prototype or something I don't know but one of these days I'm going to have someone go through it. I had a guy locally then he scared the crap out of me talking about wanting to refigure some stuff in there. I'm in Orem Utah if anyone knows anyone. That won't totally to my amp up. I say I know one of the big deals is to run an EQPlus I don't really have a decent guitar these days I've got to make that a goal this week! Ro(kOutWithYour(o(kOut!!!
I believe in the actual song it is a wah. However, my wah’s switch was broken at the time I did the vid. I used the Phase 90 and set the depth and rate to match as close as possible.

Thanks for your comment! This is the 1st generation of the Warhead. I only used a noise gate and phase 90 into the head. I messed with mic placement a little but only used the settings on the front of the amp. I found the I’m Broken bass and drums backing tracks off RUclips that I played and recorded to. Other than that, it’s just the amp. Thank you for watching!
