Another great video Harry! Who doesn’t have transition issues??!?!! This is a great watch for anyone! Headed to my garage to give it a go! Love the idea of catching the towel on the front right of your pec, I was under the belief it was better to try and catch it more on the right side on the right side upper rib area…. Makes more sense this way. Keep up great work!!
Thank you! It's great to read you understand how important it is to 'catch the towel' at the right point is, to give you more room as opposed to getting stuck. Let me know how you get on from trying this.
Harry, I have been struggling for years about how exactly to push of my right side from the top, nobody has explained this move as simply as you have explained it. I went from 100 club head speed to >110 club head speed on some of my swings. I also incorporated more of a relaxed swing with my arms, not so rigid.
Excellent explanation 👍🏻 I tend to get my upper body in front of the ball occasionally with driver. I like the idea of keeping pressure in the right foot in transition when shallowing the club, then rotate through.
Thank you, is this a tendency you have of getting the upper body ahead of the ball too early? or is this something you are working to achieve at this transition phase? - Yes the pressure in the right foot is going to help you delay the body from getting in front of the ball too early. Have you managed to give this a go yet?
Thanks for commenting Allan, pleased you’ve enjoyed the video and that it’s helped you improve your golf. Have you managed to give these tips a try yet?
Great lesson. I struggle to get the sequence working with hips etc. I think I'm very much like the guy you talk about so will be giving this lesson a try very soon. (I hit a beautiful 50 yard pitch yesterday and realised after that I had got weight down and flexed my knees more. (I think that I tend to stiffen my knees slightly so I'll bet that doesn't help?)
Hi Lee, thanks for commenting, so for the knees being stiff, yes this isn't great because you're probably limiting the rotation in your swing, even for a short 50-yard pitch shot, we still want to allow the body to move, and rotate efficiently, without this, we end up using the arms too much and getting very 'snatchy' through impact. So maybe practising a little press/squat in your pitching swing is a good move for you to practice as well as the full swing. But it's about what the feel is to achieve this outcome that's going to work for you, I'd love to have a chat and discuss this in more detail, you can use the link in my description to book a Zoom call with me.
great vid actually! focuses on keeping your weight on trail I think Dr Kwon doesn't emphasize this enough and you end up rocking all your weight forward in the back swing then you cant get around.
Thanks for commenting, yes you've really got to be careful of shifting the weight in the swing that causes you to either sway too much or use the grund reaction forces in the wrong direction. Please you've enjoyed the video, have you managed to give this a try yet?
That’s so great to read thanks for letting me know, if there’s anything else you need help with in your game feel free to let me know through commenting on another video, always looking for new swing tips to talk about/ discuss!
Hi Matt, thanks for commenting with your very good question, so for this you should notice i talk a bit about the disassociation. This is the ability to separate the upper and lower body. What i teach in this video is for those golfers who struggling with getting this separation and lack mobility/ flexibility levels. But if you have really good disassociation like the pros on tour then this move (weight shift before they get to the top) would also work for them.
The problem with me demonstrating with an actuall towel there is that my elbow would get too stuck in the backswing hence the imagination of catching one to start the downswing!

Great video I like the towel feel can not wait until the range opens in couple months.
Sounds great, pleased you’ve enjoyed the video, yes the imaginary towel is a good one! How’s the golf going?
This is a great lesson, Harry.
Thank you, great to read you enjoyed the lesson, have you managed to give this a try yet at the driving range?
This puts it all together
That’s so great to read, how are you getting on since we last spoke?

Maybe you should have demonstrated with a real towel because I just can't picture on how you would catch it with your arm
