Yup. Just an FYI...the theme of this episode was "Devil"...however they chose to interpret it. His was "inner devil" or demon, which was much more subtle (although I did enjoy Hoya's dance too). She was incredible even though they only had a few hours to work together before the show!

Chitaprr Nctzen naw when i was at a competition similar to this the judge card had dance and performance grading on a different category. Dancing as the genre technique you put into it and if its two or more person are they in sync. Performance is their facial expression , emotions and how they portray the theme of the song. Thats why whenever there is a dancing competition there is a theme.
this win is extremely deserved. the topic is "devil". other candidates choose vampire, joker, ghost... etc. but the most scary devil in the world is your own inner devil. because you have to fight for it every seconds in life. Taemin, well done. I've known Shinee for years since their debut. I ve watched several concerts and realised that taemin only had few words to sing. less camera-focused also. but now, his patient and effort are paid off. this is the "sweet fruits" that he probably harvests for long time watering and caring. really respected.

@ everyone complaining that he won, how??? his song choice was the smartest and wisest, if anything, and didn't break any rules at all. not only that but this was filmed BEFORE he started promoting the Japanese version, Sayonara Hitori. so he'd only been learning the choreography hardly a few weeks beforehand to this, but he suddenly needed to change a few things and accommodate for a second person. if anything, the MV shows this was already well suited to the theme, but he made it more so, and while he was still not even perfect at his own choreo, he had to continue learning with a second person. his win was well deserved, because his struggles were there just as much as the others. with just this dance, you can see why everyone praises him as one of k-pop's best dancers
the point is that he is definitely one of the best dancers in kpop. but did he deserve to win this round? no. There was nothing special about this performance, dance wise or theatrics wise. I don't think people are just hating on taemin. Hoya had the best performance this round without any doubt. Most people are supporting taemin because he is taemin and are blindly judging. this is especially sad because Hoya has been a brilliant dancer ever since debut but was always slept on, first by shinee and then by exo. Please understand that I'm not a taemin anti. Shinee is my second favorite group and shinee was the first ever group i stanned. I just feel Taemin is capable of so much better. Hoya's was amazing too, and I'd very well say I liked his as much as I liked Taemin's. he's bound to win eventually, so calm down and just wait. it's not even for the sake of it being Taemin, but it's basically an unfair advantage in his favour because of his skill. he should hardly be a contestant, but rather a judge along with Hyoyeon, and perhaps even Hoya. the playing ground aren't even, I know, but that doesn't keep Taemin from being deserving of this win
A lot of the other artists' fans tend to downplay Taemin's performance here but remember, this performance was the highest scoring routine through the whole show's run. None of the other artists who went on the show exceeded the live score Taemin and Koharu received.

I liked all of the performances,but Taemin's is in antoher level for me. Devil doesnt always mean halloween party, sometimes we have devils inside ourselves and he showed this so well. I just can relate to this preformance. So well done. Taemin is really one of the best dancers out there.
It's hard not to get overpowered by a professional dancer without making a special routine to make the idol be the center and be the performance's focus. The fact that Taemin and Koharu were harmoniously dancing together with the same routine all the while keeping both of their original styles in dancing speaks volume. Taemin is such an amazing performer. This performance will forever be iconic.
It makes me sad that their is a lot of people saying he didn't deserve to win, but I think that he was able to perfectly depict the concept of devil. For people who did not understand what his concept was, he went with the inner demon and he's trying to escape from his inner demons. The song is his own song, called sayonara hitori (goodbye). It's a Japanese song but this is the Korean version. People saying that it's unfair because this he's used the exact same moves for his song plus his song was popular, this was recorded before the release of sayonara hitori, plus he changed the choreo a lot as well. Please don't show any hate, if you want to hate just go away. Nobody wants a fight, your just trying to start one.

I'm not gonna lie, I focused too much on him using his own song at first to even notice the raw talent in this video. His technique was virtually flawless, and his style was flowing but sharp. I've been dancing for 11 years now and this is the first time I've been moved to tears not because of just the emotion, but the talent. This guy is packed so full of it, it's almost physically painful to watch.
yes no matter how many times I watch him dance he always amaze me with how his body can flow so good with the music , how his dance move and facial expression makes feel like I'm in a lot of pain how I feel that rawness and that anger from his dancing he his truly one talented young man

im not even a stan but im here to say taemin is kpop's best dancer. its absolutely crazy how hes on par with the dancing of a professional and how hes not overshadowed by her, instead they worked together like one team and performed as harmoniously as possible retaining their original styles of dancing. taemin's performances ALWAYS manage to give me goosebumps.. the way he moves is incredible, adding to all of this the fact that he is self-taught too. what an incredibly talented young man

Truly I’m a dancer myself I went through times like this dancing with someone equal of my strengths in the moment. The dance flows through you both and when your in sync an conveying emotion a story is told and this story was beautiful.
Taemin's concept doesn't fit the other performers because he didn't go with typical Halloween theme. His performance is more deep than the others. He didn't have to do resort to using tactics such as effects, taking his clothes off, using a bunch of dancers, sexual dance moves etc. His performance is an art and is breathtaking every time he dances. He has worked so hard and for you to put him down by saying that he won due to unfair influences is unfair. I didn't see him judging the others when they danced, in fact he thoroughly enjoyed each performance, which is what everyone there was doing. Taemin and Koharu both worked so hard to make the choreography so breathtaking and inspiring. Don't put others' hard work down over your petty grudges. Congratulations sweetheart, you deserved that trophy.

This! I have watched and enjoyed performances of other dancers. They’re really good but only Taemin gives me the ~chills~ it’s like seeing nature dance! His movements are so organic and it doesn’t seem like he’s doing so much effort because he just embodies dancing/art itself.
this is what makes taemin different from other kpop dancers. kai exo and taemin always being uderrated because many people couldnt understand their dance. the people always like hiphop dancer with the body popping and crack, but taemin and kai show their expression and emotion to their dance. and i do love their dance
Taemin is very well known to be one of the best dancers in kpop, its only the new generation of fans that make him underrated (they cant see that someone is better than their faves). Their opinions doesn’t matter though because he is one of the most respected dancers in the kpop community and many new rookies say both Taemin and Kai are their dance idols. I just wish that they had more opportunity to show off the variety of dance they can do... Kai said he learnt hiphop from Taemin in trainee period cause he was the best but we hardly see that from him

I think Kai and Taemin are more inclined to Jazz (correct me if I'm wrong). I agree, people should appreciate different types of dance. In fact, my best friend is a dancer who is also inclined to Jazz and I agree 100% that people like hiphop too much like it's the only (or best) type of dance in the world and when you know how to dance in such you are already appreciated even if your performance is so-so.

This is by far the dance that gave me a lot of goosebumps... he really fits this kind of dancing... like this is what we mean when we say “talking through dancing” he doesn’t need anything else... he doesn’t need to speak a word because he has expressed himself well with this beautiful masterpiece and I think that this deserves to win! I’ve tried competing in dance competitions (for interpretative(but it’s just for school competitions)) and I could tell that he and his partner worked hard for this... fr dancing with this kind of style is not easy
He proved that there is no need to use big and acrobatic movements or to have hundreds of people to deliver the message. He deserved to win, it’s not easy to communicate something to people the way he did it, without using something but himself and his movements.
There would never be another idol like Taemin, no matter how good someone elese could be, Taemin is just on another level. Everything he does is art. The way he moves, his voice, everything about him is so sofistaced.
My sister and I followed hit the stage and when we saw this episode of it. Everyone was good and I had my bias but when the king of dance came out, Taemin. It was game over, he didn't need anything grand. His dance spoke for him and that is what Taemin does so well. I come back to watch this every now and then cuz I love how both of them just flow together. I was so enraged and upset how people claimed that Taemin did not deserve this win. Taemin potrayed this concept beautifully. He didn't need to use a villain or evil character like other did. To show what is the devil. He showed that everyone in some way holds darkness inside and that not everyone is good. That our personal demons are just as scared and vulnerable as we ourselves are.
Every time he dances with Koharu, I get chills!! They complement each other so well it’s frightening...like my heart cannot take this much talent on one stage
Taemin is awesome. He doesn't need all the extra fluff just to bring his stage presence out. Once he got on stage, his presence was already overwhelming. You see here? Sometimes simplicity is more beautiful than all the Halloween, sexy concepts just to show the inner "devil". This "devil" concept was beautifully executed by it's simplicity and damn, Taemin is something else.
This was honestly the greatest hit the stage performance ever. Taemin did an amazing job, along with that girl beside him. (I'd honestly like to know her name & her social media so I can see more of her.) both of them did great! 💕

Taemin and Koharu definitely won this round fairly. This is dancing, very raw and pure dancing. All the contestants gave it their all and did incredibly well, too! But when you have someone like Sugawara Koharu on your team it's almost an inevitable win. Taemin's come so far to be able to dance with her like this, even matching up to her skill! It's incredible.
i think it was a good idea for taemin to choose his own song because he was able to express his emotions and the meaning of the song with his elegant and meaningful dance moves along with the concept. You guys don’t realize how much power taemin has when he dances. he expresses everything that people usually don’t expect from other kpop idols. it’s a total masterpiece all together when he dances. not many people are able to get the idea of what the meaning is behind his dancing because is so much.
the raw emotion that the girl out in her dancing was phenomenal. she is so beautiful and stunning. so powerful the way she articulates every movement and facial expressions. Taemin does a great job with this too but I have to say even tho they danced together. the beautiful woman outshined him.

For me, I really loved U-Kwon's performance because it captured the imagination - it wasn't just dancing, it was a performance, with a story and emotions. This performance, too, wasn't just dancing (although the dancing was absolutely superb, better than U-Kwon's) - it was expressive, it told a story with the movements and the song choice, stage, outfits, etc. were just PERFECTLY chosen. He absolutely deserved to win.

I was crying during this performance in SW5 , it's hard to describe taemin's emotional in this song, it's not like just to show fans and audiences the performance, he has put so much strength and effort to create ART because behind this is his dream!
Taemin using his own song made it 10x more powerful and mesmerising. Beautiful performance it was perfection and i expect no less from taemin. I had goosebumps the whole time. i keep revisiting this after Jonghyun's passing and its a performance that brings me to tears everytime
The chemistry between Taemin and Koharu is amazing. Both sharing feminine and masculine qualities without overshadowing each other but syncing it together to enhance the performance. I can’t imagine finding a better duo than them two, especially when the concept is dark like this.
Now THIS stage was complete in the way Bora's wasn't with only 2 people onstage. I love how both Taemin and Koharu were dancing the same choreography, their movement quality was so different yet somehow complementing each other's so perfectly 😍 the music was so haunting too. I could watch this all day
I remember watching Taemin dance as a 14 year old and being blown away by his talent. A decade later, he's still at the top of his game. SM chose right when they signed him.
I get it why they say that it was kinda biased for Taemin to win because it was not what they expected. Taemin danced with his own song and that song is not that hyped-type of song. If Taemin won, it's because of pure talent and it was not his decision that he'll be the winner. It was a voting based contest, so Taemin won because of the votes that people gave to him. I hope they'll understand this show.

@ everyone complaining that he won, how??? his song choice was the smartest and wisest, if anything, and didn't break any rules at all. not only that but this was filmed BEFORE he started promoting the Japanese version, Sayonara Hitori. so he'd only been learning the choreography hardly a few weeks beforehand to this, but he suddenly needed to change a few things and accommodate for a second person. if anything, the MV shows this was already well suited to the theme, but he made it more so, and while he was still not even perfect at his own choreo, he had to continue learning with a second person. his win was well deserved, because his struggles were there just as much as the others. with just this dance, you can see why everyone praises him as one of k-pop's best dancers

the point is that he is definitely one of the best dancers in kpop. but did he deserve to win this round? no. There was nothing special about this performance, dance wise or theatrics wise. I don't think people are just hating on taemin. Hoya had the best performance this round without any doubt. Most people are supporting taemin because he is taemin and are blindly judging. this is especially sad because Hoya has been a brilliant dancer ever since debut but was always slept on, first by shinee and then by exo. Please understand that I'm not a taemin anti. Shinee is my second favorite group and shinee was the first ever group i stanned. I just feel Taemin is capable of so much better. I'm sure he'll show his true potential later on

Hoya's was amazing too, and I'd very well say I liked his as much as I liked Taemin's. he's bound to win eventually, so calm down and just wait. it's not even for the sake of it being Taemin, but it's basically an unfair advantage in his favour because of his skill. he should hardly be a contestant, but rather a judge along with Hyoyeon, and perhaps even Hoya. the playing ground aren't even, I know, but that doesn't keep Taemin from being deserving of this win
A lot of the other artists' fans tend to downplay Taemin's performance here but remember, this performance was the highest scoring routine through the whole show's run. None of the other artists who went on the show exceeded the live score Taemin and Koharu received.

It's hard not to get overpowered by a professional dancer without making a special routine to make the idol be the center and be the performance's focus. The fact that Taemin and Koharu were harmoniously dancing together with the same routine all the while keeping both of their original styles in dancing speaks volume. Taemin is such an amazing performer. This performance will forever be iconic.
It makes me sad that their is a lot of people saying he didn't deserve to win, but I think that he was able to perfectly depict the concept of devil. For people who did not understand what his concept was, he went with the inner demon and he's trying to escape from his inner demons. The song is his own song, called sayonara hitori (goodbye). It's a Japanese song but this is the Korean version. People saying that it's unfair because this he's used the exact same moves for his song plus his song was popular, this was recorded before the release of sayonara hitori, plus he changed the choreo a lot as well. I'm not gonna lie, I focused too much on him using his own song at first to even notice the raw talent in this video. His technique was virtually flawless, and his style was flowing but sharp. I've been dancing for 11 years now and this is the first time I've been moved to tears not because of just the emotion, but the talent. This guy is packed so full of it, it's almost physically painful to watch.

im not even a stan but im here to say taemin is kpop's best dancer. its absolutely crazy how hes on par with the dancing of a professional and how hes not overshadowed by her, instead they worked together like one team and performed as harmoniously as possible retaining their original styles of dancing. taemin's performances ALWAYS manage to give me goosebumps.. the way he moves is incredible, adding to all of this the fact that he is self-taught too. what an incredibly talented young man

Taemin's concept doesn't fit the other performers because he didn't go with typical Halloween theme. His performance is more deep than the others. He didn't have to do resort to using tactics such as effects, taking his clothes off, using a bunch of dancers, sexual dance moves etc. His performance is an art and is breathtaking every time he dances. He has worked so hard and for you to put him down by saying that he won due to unfair influences is unfair. I didn't see him judging the others when they danced, in fact he thoroughly enjoyed each performance, which is what everyone there was doing. Taemin and Koharu both worked so hard to make the choreography so breathtaking and inspiring. Don't put others' hard work down over your petty grudges. Congratulations sweetheart, you deserved that trophy.

this is what makes taemin different from other kpop dancers. kai exo and taemin always being uderrated because many people couldnt understand their dance. the people always like hiphop dancer with the body popping and crack, but taemin and kai show their expression and emotion to their dance. and i do love their dance

Taemin is very well known to be one of the best dancers in kpop, its only the new generation of fans that make him underrated (they cant see that someone is better than their faves). Their opinions doesn’t matter though because he is one of the most respected dancers in the kpop community and many new rookies say both Taemin and Kai are their dance idols. I just wish that they had more opportunity to show off the variety of dance they can do... Kai said he learnt hiphop from Taemin in trainee period cause he was the best but we hardly see that from him

I think Kai and Taemin are more inclined to Jazz (correct me if I'm wrong). I agree, people should appreciate different types of dance. In fact, my best friend is a dancer who is also inclined to Jazz and I agree 100% that people like hiphop too much like it's the only (or best) type of dance in the world and when you know how to dance in such you are already appreciated even if your performance is so-so.
They're not underrated it's just that the new kpopers don't know their dance , also all the rookies and seniors as well respect them especially Taemin. And he dance also popping and hiphop it's just that he prefer this style bc he can show his feelings and what's inside his soul

This is by far the dance that gave me a lot of goosebumps... he really fits this kind of dancing... like this is what we mean when we say “talking through dancing” he doesn’t need anything else... he doesn’t need to speak a word because he has expressed himself well with this beautiful masterpiece and I think that this deserves to win! I’ve tried competing in dance competitions (for interpretative(but it’s just for school competitions)) and I could tell that he and his partner worked hard for this... fr dancing with this kind of style is not easy

He proved that there is no need to use big and acrobatic movements or to have hundreds of people to deliver the message. He deserved to win, it’s not easy to communicate something to people the way he did it, without using something but himself and his movements.
There would never be another idol like Taemin, no matter how good someone elese could be, Taemin is just on another level. Everything he does is art. The way he moves, his voice, everything about him is so sofistaced.
the other dances are good but taemins really stands out. he dances with such emotion. i love him and his take on this theme.
My sister and I followed hit the stage and when we saw this episode of it. Everyone was good and I had my bias but when the king of dance came out, Taemin. It was game over, he didn't need anything grand. His dance spoke for him and that is what Taemin does so well.

Taemin potrayed this concept beautifully. He didn't need to use a villain or evil character like other did. To show what is the devil.

Sometimes simplicity is more beautiful than all the Halloween, sexy concepts just to show the inner "devil". This "devil" concept was beautifully executed by it's simplicity and damn, Taemin is something else.

i can see why taemin won, the music choice was great, the dance was simple with 2 people but still really elegant and captivating.
Taemin and Koharu definitely won this round fairly. This is dancing, very raw and pure dancing. All the contestants gave it their all and did incredibly well, too! But when you have someone like Sugawara Koharu on your team it's almost an inevitable win. Taemin's come so far to be able to dance with her like this, even matching up to her skill! It's incredible.
i think it was a good idea for taemin to choose his own song because he was able to express his emotions and the meaning of the song with his elegant and meaningful dance moves along with the concept. You guys don’t realize how much power taemin has when he dances. he expresses everything that people usually don’t expect from other kpop idols. it’s a total masterpiece all together when he dances. not many people are able to get the idea of what the meaning is behind his dancing because is so much.

the raw emotion that the girl out in her dancing was phenomenal. she is so beautiful and stunning. so powerful the way she articulates every movement and facial expressions. Taemin does a great job with this too but I have to say even tho they danced together. the beautiful woman outshined him.

Wow... that was great. Powerful dancing AND so artistic and expressive. For me, I really loved U-Kwon's performance because it captured the imagination - it wasn't just dancing, it was a performance, with a story and emotions. This performance, too, wasn't just dancing (although the dancing was absolutely superb, better than U-Kwon's) - it was expressive, it told a story with the movements and the song choice, stage, outfits, etc. were just PERFECTLY chosen. He absolutely deserved to win.
