He is very close. This was a top notch MJ era stage performance for sure. But he’s not there yet. His talent is ridiculous for sure. Once he gets a crossover hit comeback era or he does a few English singles that can go international I can see it. I feel more Prince 👑 vibes in his performance aura but he does have that MJ performance quality for sure.
I think he's like BoA in that way. They are both timeless class acts who influence the industry so much, especially with how long they've been in the game.
This made me think about how many times Taemin has been and is the one who introduces something important in kpop. His face appears first in kpop's first 'choreography practice' video with 'Replay'. With SHINee, him and his hyungs always introduced so many new concepts to the industry, from music to fashion to dancing and more. He is the first artist on SM to go solo while in a group. His debut song introduced many new composers and lyricists to kpop. He is the first Korean Artist that has performed at the Madison Square Garden twice ever in History. Debuted in second, third and four generations of kpop, and many other things I'm probably forgetting and now he introduced The dawn of New Topia. In short, his artistic career is fantastic and inspiring, as is his hard work and dedication, and he still has a lot to show us in the future. I'm super proud of him

He really does make it look so effortless. He practically floats on stage and it's breathtaking. The backup dancers killed it too though. It's not easy to share a stage with a legend and still look so put together. All together this performance was a masterpiece.

I don’t know how you can look at his innovation as too anything- it’s elegant and beautiful in every single way. People do find it difficult to accept new things but in this case I just think he was STRAIGHT robbed, last year he was robbed too, it’s just ridiculous. Award shows have been rigged throughout history, and MAMA shamelessly continues this tradition.

Sorry, but Taemin should have won Best Dance Award. Unfortunately MAMA awards are not about talent and quality but instead popularity. No shade on the winner, but Taemin dance was way better. This performance is so amazing his vocals and dance are beyond this world.

I said already because being considered the king of kpop at 26 years old is incredible. Actually everyone is talking about it, it trended over MAMA for 2 hrs and trended for 5 hours straight with #1 in immense no of countries. People would have revolted if he didn't get any award, I just saw this solidarity yesterday, other groups trended and then went by, Taemin trended since he started up until veryyyy end.
No matter how much others may try, Taemin will always stand out. His performance is the type of hypnotizing that makes you come back to watch it over and over again. I do miss his old dance team, the team that was with his during the Off Sick and the T1001101 concert. I think he had better chemistry with them in the songs and the dance breaks, but I guess is just time and practice until they develope the same conection.

I still don't get it why All the members of SHINee didn't get much viewers on their solo or group songs in RUclips. Even though when shinee has a concert, there have so many fans who attend their solo concert/group concert. But when Minho, Key, Onew, Taemin need our support and votes, the fans are disappears because the number of supports and votes they get is not as much as the audience who attend their concerts. Sorry, but Taemin should have won Best Dance Award. Unfortunately MAMA awards are not about talent and quality but instead popularity. No shade on the winner, but Taemin dance was way better. This performance is so amazing his vocals and dance are beyond this world.
Exactly no shade to who won the award, but if you look at the performances and the choreography in general Taemin was better. But award shows nowadays are more catered to who goes ”viral” vs who has better artistry.

I said already because being considered the king of kpop at 26 years old is incredible. It's true that he debuted really young but it's still amazing to see someone who is still active and young be considered with this kind of respect and admiration by other groups and artists.
It doesn't matter who wins awards and is trendy in charts for this season or another, we know who is the real king and god on Korean stage, Taemin's throne will never be filled ❤❤

No matter how much others may try, Taemin will always stand out. His performance is the type of hypnotizing that makes you come back to watch it over and over again. I do miss his old dance team, the team that was with his during the Off Sick and the T1001101 concert. I think he had better chemistry with them in the songs and the dance breaks, but I guess is just time and practice until they develope the same conection.

I still don't get it why All the members of SHINee didn't get much viewers on their solo or group songs in RUclips.
Even though when shinee has a concert, there have so many fans who attend their solo concert/group concert.
