Hard to imagine that l paid $450 a month for 5 years for my 2012 F-150 !!!! The mere fact that manufactures, and dealers, would actually think that having these vehicles on the market at these prices. Shows how out of touch these bosses actually are.
I would NEVER pay these prices for anything!

Oh no the manufacturers are facing consequences for shipping all our manufacturing overseas? Oh no the dealership owners won't be able to rake in all the profit off cheap foreign labor?

On Feb. 1, 2025, I bought a new 2024 Wrangler Sport 4dr. V6, auto trans, hardtop, and tow package. Dealer and factory incentives made it 26.5% below MSRP ($34,500 purchase price + tax, tags, title, and registration). $46,840 MSRP - $39,000 OTD. I'm in SoCal and I feel I got a good deal.

It amazes me how people have this "brand loyalty" when manufacturers are trading parts with each other resulting in every vehicle being a literal Frankenstein. From the Ford blinker light on a Lambo, to a Bosch cp4 pump on a heavy duty Ford, because Bosch fuel pumps are the first things to fail on BMW.
    Clown world.

Some of them are shutting down. There was one that had a big thing with Stellantis over inside inventory.
Some of them also sell used vehicles. The used market might be keeping them afloat. The local dealership keeps being me to trade in my 3rd gen Tacoma because they have customers trying to buy them.

On a certainly level, I think that the dealers aren't adjusting prices downward simply because they don't want to admit that they've been overcharging the last few years.

If people stopped purchasing vehicles (unless actually need one) prices will come down. And NO vehicle should be over 30k tops. You can't tell me that manufacturers can't make a 20-30k and still have a profit.

Most wristwatches should be $30. Some wristwatches should be $31mn.
A basic car with AC and power everything should be $20-40k. A fancy car should be more expensive.

You realize that if tarrifs are making stuff more expensive it's because it's being manufactured in a different country right? No one cares that dealership owners and manufacturers aren't going to be able to rake in all the profit from selling out American manufacturers for cheap foreign labor. The only people who are against tarrifs are rich people who don't care about American factory workers
