People who say Ozil is lazy has never seen the games properly or have watch it but don't see. He covers so much ground its crazy that they even say that. Even if he doesn't score or assist, he assists the assister and pull our games together.
Some might say David Silva and de Bruyne are the best, but Ozil is on a completely different level above them. What he needs is a proper club and top top players around him... and city has them. Sadly, arsenal only has Sanchez, but his form is not good because he wants to leave as fast as possible. Lacazette is solid and probably needs more time.

It would be unfair to look at the assist king throne without considering the number of chances created. Nobody does it like Ozil. In his breakout year, he managed 4.27 chances created per 90 minutes. De Bruyne has never gotten higher than the 3.29 he has this year.
That too ozil had giroud up front with less possession. De bruyne had a good team with better possession stats and better attacking options. These criticising fools can't even comprehend the simple math? And this year his chance creation is back at 4.18 per 90 minutes.

After watching this, I've realised why he is less effective at Arsenal that he was at Madrid. At Madrid, he played WAY higher up the pitch. Because he had quality midfielders behind him. At Arsenal, he plays so deep it's almost like he's a defensive midfielder. Also, the quality of forwards at Madrid was significantly higher. They needed only 2 or 3 chances to score. At Arsenal you'll find compilations of strikers missing chances created by Özil. Basically, he found his level at Madrid and moving to Arsenal was a downgrade.

I don't know why but something tells me that he's been better, more energetic and having a better body language because he's excited to move to Man United?
