3 years ago I started listening to you, 2 years ago I went plant based, 1 year ago, with the help of Sri Mati, I started meditating and this year I've already cycled over 4000 miles. Thank you for having such a positive impact on my life. ✌️ ♥ 🌱
Ola I'm french, so excuse me for my english 😊. I have just finished your book, your story is incredible. I am 54 years old and i am running my first marathon in a few months. So i'll train slowly to run faster 😁
Welcome Back! Love you Rich, thanks for the continual positive inspiration. Reese, looking forward to this series, love your work with John Joseph. Stoked for more volgs, Rich, Reese, best wishes!
Just finished the re-released book Finding Ultra on audible. So glad Rich narrated his own book! This was the second time reading (or listening to) Finding Ultra (The first was a physical book, 1st edition). Wow, what an fantastic read that was a thought provoking, heart-wrenching and inspirational tale of addiction, recovery and triumph. At any rate, Rich, thank you for sharing your story.
Nice to see a blog from you this morning! It felt like a reward to see this pop up in my feed when I got back from my long sweaty run in the So Cal heatwave! 😄☀️
RUclipsrs are the lifestyle rockstars of today. Who needs bands now , when we can all connect so much better. Yah , to your back up crew ! Keep on Roll'n.
Love the vlogs! but also love the video recordings of the podcasts, please keep those up! There's something about putting a face to a voice when listening into a conversation that is really beautiful, and the quality shows how much effort you put into them.
Yay, so happy you're back on the Tubes! Beautiful footage at the end there when you were climbing and descending, just overall a great video and I can't wait to see more - oh also, congrats on the new bike, it's a real beauty!
Dude please keep doing these! Especially with info on bikes :) I love the podcast and always will but I think your personality shines through more on these and is more entertaining than a lot of the podcasts.
Short vlogs are awesome!!! This is what I love about the video library of nutritionfacts.org...I am so happy you have someone to help you go beyond the podcasts (I love listening to those on my trail runs! RRP is D best!!!). You are such a blessing, Rich! I love you, man! You inspire me so much: I turned plant-based and 100% sober on January 1. Triathlete (completed a 70.3), former swimmer and decent on the bike (dreaming of your Di2), I totally sucked at running (recovering from total tear of right Achille’s + stress fracture of left femur and left tibia + torn left meniscus)...discovered trail running...completed my first 52k in March and my first 40 miler last week...en route for my first ironman in 2019. Going through tough times since I lost my job 2 years ago and being 55 doesn’t help. But you went through tough sh$t too and give me hope. God bless you, Julie and the kids. You make this world a better place by being in it!
A very big Welcome Back! I so wanted to ask you about the Vlogs when i saw you at the Dublin event last weekend but time was so limited. Big respect and keep it up, true inspiration.
Shame this training Vlog didn't last as Rich is such an inspiration to me, similar age thats all. I am LOVING the podcast material though, WOW - WEE! Spirituality to its broadest key...
I'm all for the small custom bike shop, but wondering how a company builds a composite frame on a per order/rider spec basis. How is that scalable? What makes that Franco frame different from a Specialized or BMC or Canyon in the same geometry category? I would think it all comes down to the quality of the carbon, the engineering that goes into the frame design and fit..and Franco obviously knows their stuff when it comes to fitting the rider to the bike. Good to see RR back at it with the vlog!
Nice vlog man. That bike is incredible. Just rode a Di2 for the first time recently and it’s an amazing experience. I am typically low tech but Di2 is my new bike shifting goal🤙🏽🤙🏽
Amazing. I'm a huge fan of what you and JJ have done. I miss the videos. No death no dairy 'where do you get your protein!!!' Tell JJ to come to Toronto
Rich is so remarkably fit for his age that it makes me wonder - could he run on a football pitch (soccer) for 90 minutes? Could he play an NBA-level full court 48-minute basketball game? Could he play a 5-set tennis match at a high level? And if yes - is he a one in a billion or is it that with a proper nutrition and lifestyle evolution we will start seeing competitive athletes playing well into their 50s and 60s even!?
as far as i know probably the main issue with those athletes is that they focus on performance in detriment of longevity. some people would love to watch sports where people help each other in order to achieve something togheter, while not risking their health, but for most today that mentality is not there... i think that when that starts people will start subscribing...
playing basketball and football requires a different type of physique with more focus on strength and explosiveness rather than specifically endurance, not to mention the emphasis on skills in those sports...
Elite sport is predicated on explosive movements and pliability. Unfortunately its nearly impossible to reverse the effects of ageing to the degree that someone in their 50s could play with top level 20 year olds. The closest examples are probably Jerry Rice and Darrell Green who both played in the NFL at explosive positions that require running and agility (wide receiver and cornerback) at age 40. There have been also examples of top class soccer players in their early 40s like Francesco Totti and Ryan Giggs. (Please dont bring up Tom Brady... his position means he rarely runs more than 5 yards at a time)
+Patrick Harrison You bring up some interesting examples. If these individuals could play American football and soccer in their 40s, then it only makes sense that an athlete who possesses good genes + proper nutrition + a lot of hard work and dedication could play a competitive sport till they're 50. BTW another example would be Dirk Nowitzki who's 40 and is still playing in the NBA for the Dallas Mavericks!
3 years ago I started listening to you, 2 years ago I went plant based, 1 year ago, with the help of Sri Mati, I started meditating and this year I've already cycled over 4000 miles. Thank you for having such a positive impact on my life. ✌️ ♥ 🌱

Love Franco bikes. We bought a Balcom when visiting from Australia last year after seeing you ride them 🚴🏽♀️
Shame this training Vlog didn't last as Rich is such an inspiration to me, similar age thats all. I am LOVING the podcast material though, WOW - WEE! Spirituality to its broadest key...

Nice vlog man. That bike is incredible. Just rode a Di2 for the first time recently and it’s an amazing experience. I am typically low tech but Di2 is my new bike shifting goal🤙🏽🤙🏽

This just made my day!!!
Once in my life I have to ride my bike in this area! Huge dream of me - one day I will make it happen!
Looking forward to the upcoming videos!
The bike lust that vid evoked is totally out of consonance with the Peace and Plants vibe. But damn... sweet.
Peace + plants - nice!!!
Bittersweet for fans of The Hard Truth. Hoping for some Rich Roll-John Joseph colabs! He would kill it on your PodCast
vtenuta1 JJ is coming over to hang with Rich and I on Saturday so you can expect a super awesome collab vid

You know what they say, If you have to ask I can't afford it either :D
Im guessing the bike is worth more than his Honda and I LOVE that!!!
More Expensive than my Road Bikes together :D There is no N+ Number XD
This explains why I run.
Worlds apart from my reality
If you ever visit Ohio, check out roll: bicycles and see what their custom build does for you!
You are a perfect role model man
