Hello everyone! Happy January! I'm so excited to share this little diary of the past week, I've been doing lots of paintinggggg so of course I'm gonna share that with you guys! ALSO THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR 100K WE DID IT MY BABIES! I'm thinking of ideas for my celebration video, and my plan so far is to make a big painting in celebration! My question for you guys is, would you rather me split the progress (bc its definitely gonna take me weeks to finish!) into a couple different vlogs, or would you rather me film the progress and put it all in one vlog?? While I think it’s satisfying watching the whole painting process in one go I think it’s very relatable that you didn’t rush to finish it and are taking your time, I’m the type of artist that takes weeks to finish big projects and many art Timelapse’s definitely mess up your perspective of how long one should take painting something haha so this format is very refreshing!

21:09 If you remove all of the bedding from their enclosure they will get stressed because all of their scents are gone. So it's always best to leave some of their old bedding in there (as long as it's not totally soiled) so they feel more at home and less lost. A hamster's enclosure doesn't need to be fully cleaned because they are naturally clean animals. Spot cleaning is all you need to do most of the time. Victoria Raechel here on YT has some great videos on hamster care for anyone new to owning them :)
I typically do spot clean, but eventually I have to remove all of their bedding to clean all of the nastiness that sinks to the bottom of the cage. I do typically add some of their bedding back in that's not as dirty, and leave what they keep in their hideouts too!

I like the multiple projects over a course of a few videos. I feel like its more realistic. also there's a way to thicken acrylic paint, i think its cornstarch and it just makes it so you use less paint.
I myself prefer videos where you show what you’re up to alongside the project you’re working on 😊

if you want to make thin or one-coat paint just mix a little bit of corn starch into the mix and it makes it one coat! ^.^ just a tip for another art major to you

This video reminded me of what it was like to have hamsters 😂 I miss them. Also I took a long break from painting too and I found when I got back into it with fresh eyes I realised I had learned a little even though I was taking a break, I just had to get my confidence back
I love my hammies so much they’re such good companions :,)) and I def agree about the painting hiatus!! I guess my mind is always thinking about painting even when I’m not actively doing it!

Your paintings looks so cute! It's such a weird feeling when using brushes again because personally, I haven't touched them in months and I was feeling a lil bit rusty using them for a gouache painting. Nevertheless, I'm excited to see your acrylic journey coz I also want to explore it more ❣❣

You absolutely don't have to take my advice, but me and my sister were having a hard time watching this because it all felt too perfect. Maybe include some more mundane clips? I'm excited to see more of this painting!

I’ve worked for Wee Forest Folk for many years. The quality of the brushes has definitely gone down over the years. We use a whole range, 000 the smallest. We use Windsor Newton or Raphael.
I love windsor newton! So sad to hear the quality has gone down, $15 for a brush should ensure quality!!!
