Honestly, I watch your spreads for ideas for my own notion spread. I don't know why but my mind goes blank when I'm setting up my notion and then later I'll remember what I wanted to do on it. I really love the new releases tracker and the series tracker spread.
Honestly I've been thinking about setting up a reading journal for myself since I just got back into reading last year. Your video truly helped. You made it look very minimalistic and it made me feel like it was something I could do! It took me a while to set up and I only have 5 spreads, but I think that's enough for me this year. Other people do reading journals and it seems to be a daunting process and they do a lottt of spreads 😭

My journal usually takes me a few days to set up, and sometimes it's hard to find time just to do it, I'm always impressed by anyone who is able to film the process too. But I'm so glad you did because your setup is gorgeous!
Your journal looks so amazing, and your Journaling content within you reading vlogs is also so relaxing. I'm starting my first reading journal this year and so far I am loving it. I went with a scrap paper/ tea stained paper theme to mine and I'm really happy with how it turned out.

I just borrowed Chain of Gold and Chain of Iron from my library so I am excited to start them! I loved “The Infernal Devices” so I am excited to go into the worlds of those characters’ children before Chain of Thorns comes out!
everytime you mention Robin Hobb i just get so excited because i'm finishing the second trilogy in her Realm of the Elderlings series and she absolutely has become one of my favorite authors ever. i'm super curious to see what you think of Assassin's Apprentice if you get to it, it's still my favorite book by her and the protagonist is one of my fav characters of all time

Look at this video, these small hands which move on the white pages, which with a remarkable skill trace the architecture which will be used to accommodate the next readings. Window and crescent moon, funny black stars. The line runs, here becomes square, line or serpentine, there becomes calligraphy; everything is ordered precisely, a frame is woven, the diary takes on the pages of a guestbook. The bird flies away. Your journal is so nice! I don’t typically pick a theme when I set up my journal for the year, I usually just pick a color scheme so that the spreads feel cohesive. I also have a series tracker that I set up this year. Hears hoping that I’ll stick with it 😅🤞🏾Love this video as always 💙

Great video! I am new to reading journals and honestly mine is going to be more of a life journal but my themes likely will be representing Month awareness things. January is National Puzzle month so for my monthly goals I used old puzzle pieces glued into my journal to mark in teacking my goals progress. Only know May will represent Mental Health in some way.

Honestly, I don't know either what it is about those little dots, but they truly make journal spreads look that much nicer haha Also, I was thinking, have you considered only putting your "books of the year" pages with the book covers at the very end of the journal so that you only set them up at the end of the year? That way you would already know how many books you read and how much space you need. I know it takes away the fun of filling in the covers throughout the year but it might be more practical :) Edit: I just had another idea! You mentioned that your journal has those weird pages that kinda stick together and you can't really use them, right? What if you cut those out as clean as possible and if you happen to need more space for your "books read pages" than you originally predicted, you could glue those cut-out pages in wherever you need them as sort of extra pages?

LOVED the journal, it looks so good! But honestly screw filming anything like that! I did my yearly spreads in spurts during December because I couldn't face doing it all at once, and I didn't even film it! So kudos to you, it looks like it would have been a LOT.

i just always feel the need to clarify😭 but you make a good point haha, and the fuzzy things are a studio ghibli thing! they’re called soot sprites and are featured in a few of the ghibli movies like spirited away and my neighbor totoro!
