It's a strange oversight. I reached out to them directly and suggested that they include a physical mute button in future products. I'm not sure where this concept comes from but most content creators want to mute the inputs. The preamp and gain are fantastic! Some of the other decisions are a miss which is disappointing as the device is otherwise excellent! Thanks for the comment.
@@FreePodcastTools i am currently finishing my test video. It was going to be positive but it was easier to show what was wrong with it... Like the XLR to 1/4" also not being real normal 1/4" audio port but one line out... However wonderful and better audio than the Vocaster Two. I also show how to hack the audio for left and right 1/4" or 3.5mm connection... I am writing you from my other channel so I avoid any conflict of interest. I appreciate your thoughts and your comment back. The plus is the audio is lightly warm, it sounds better than most. The volume (Gain) gets LOUD, the software shows how much gain, the monitor out sound is great and headphone out is fairly good as well.

With the exception of a few devices, I feel like every company gets 85-90% of the way there and fall flat in a few areas. That frustrates me as the issues I have with the unit seem clear and obvious to me. Thanks again.
@@FreePodcastTools thank you. I can see why companies leave obvious flaws. If they didn't why would anyone consider spending more on their higher end products? I personally think it is purposeful to give you a reason to spend on something else down the line... Oh look we fixed it and they will purposely leave an issue again. Businesses are often tied to their shareholders. If Presonus literally went all out they would get a huge profit gain but they would have trouble keeping that and could lose money after the hype dies. My theory is that they want to keep sales purposely at a study state to show growth so they can maintain at a certain rate. It makes sense from a business perspective, not self profit was but to keep shareholders happy
@@sparketech I almost suggested that but then I talked myself out of typing it. I was going to also compare it to other sectors or retail where they "almost" solve the issues and then another company solves different issues but not the issues company A solved. It's a logical conclusion IMO.
Side note forgot the nt1 is apple now 😂.... it is tempting to buy 1 for the color these days. Never owned a mic that wasnt silver, red, or black. Imagine pink etc 😅 that would drive me nuts though
RODE made me a bit upset because I wanted the Signature Series NT1 in white but it wasn't available at the time. Looks like late September or early October it will finally come out in white. Some of the pastel colors are ridiculous. LOL! 😂
Did PreSonus drop the ball on responding to your inquiry? They seemed to have a lot of delayed responses when all the devices dropped. I had alternate routes of contacting them and even that took a bit longer than I would have liked. Very sorry to hear that it was a bad experience.

I love the loud gain levels. BUT that mute button decision? Everything mutes head phones but nothing mutes your output to the DAW using this?

Could not get enough info to figure out midi routing multiple devices with DIN connections on quantum es2 and my computer StudioOne DAW.
