I have a friend that owns the quest 3 and I would tell him that I was really enjoying RE4 and RE8 on my PSVR2 and he would always get weird and start telling me why the quest 3 is a better VR headset xD but he finally ended up getting a PSVR2 today and he was texting me telling me yo bro I'm blown away by how good RE8 looks and plays on PSVR2, I was like dude I've been telling you.
Give yourself props Bryan. owning your own apartment and getting work done to improve it is a rare feat not many can claim to have done and you deserve every bit of success and satisfaction for having done this. May you always stay blessed and happy in your life
I'll tell you the story of how it all went down someday Waleed. I'm happy with my apartment but a lot of terrible things had to happen in order for me to be in the position as a waiter to purchase it all those years ago. Plus selling off 80% of my game collection in order to finance the renovations is something I'm still not sure if I'll regret or not. Just goes to show that there's always a story behind everything. Thanks for the kind words though, I appreciate it.
The thing with the haptics in trombone champ/FlattoVR projects is kind of what a lot of us have been saying all along: If the game is essentially already made the team has more time to focus on other aspects of VRAF features not less.
You guys better hype up Flat2Vr games lmao. These games need to sell to get the juicy AAA games. The work put into the Vr version of Trombone Champ seems monumental.
My 2cents, I am loving this positional reprojection in GT7! I had stopped playing most of my Psvr2 games like re4, re7, Arizona ones, etc cos of reprojection and was hoping that the Pro would be able to resolve this and it’s here finally!!! Early days but a step in the right direction. Luckily I play most games with the HUD completely off so I don’t have the issues others may have and I am so okay with some tearing and shimmering etc considering reprojection is basically non existent and we have ray tracing. Playing GT7 on a night track and the way the lights from cars behind and. Street lights reflect and illuminate the interior is ridiculously great!!! I really really hope other devs get on board and patch games like re4, Re8, Synapse, even Metro etc etc with this new algorithm for reprojection! Pretty Please!!!!!
Totally agreed, GT7 is so much better now! (It was already my favorite VR game). It's pretty rare that a top-tier developer puts extra resources into a PSVR2 game, let's hope more will follow!
Im not sure what the technical terms are, but i played gt7 and flew around like a madman in no mans sky and whatever was causing my nausea seems to be fixed. Its FANTASTIC how good those games look and feel now on the pro
For me with pro on GT7 (with the new toggle ON) it is MUCH better. I also never was bothered on OG PS5 by it compared to some. However now I can A/B I find the old mode much worse. It's not just sideways looking for me but around corners, esp with a load of cars, basically everything feels more solid and real. So it feels almost like 90hz in that respect. There are some minor artifacts with it on. On Grand Valley across the bride I noticed first time there was a weird texture in the arches of the bridge (like low res cut outs) vs non with the old mode (there instead tons of ghosting), but on a second go it looked solid with no weirdness. Which is weird. Overall though the improvement to the feeling of being there, the solidity of the world and the cars makes it 100% more enjoyable. The old version now feels more floaty and fake, even though I've played it for hours and loved it anyway, it just feels better now and the Pro was worth it for me even for this improvement.
Yes. I am not playing any games with reprojection since I heard they potential of the ps5 pro. I bought the pro and GT7 just proved effects of reprojection can be a thing of the past. I hope all devs use it!!!!!
I just opened up my new PSVR2. First impressions: it's lighter, whiter, and tighter. Controllers feel nice quality but a little odd to me (extremely used to the moves). The first PSVR had that new car smell. The PSVR 2 doesn't smell like that at all. It kind of smells like... egg nog. I like a little egg nog, but egg nog doesn't like me. Hopefully the PSVR 3 will smell like warm brownies.
My 1st time playing Playstation was at a cousins house. I thought it was ok, but we were all Sega at our house. Genesis, Sega CD, Saturn. Eventually we got a Playstation. I was of the mind that Sega was the way to go because they were a video game company and Sony just did electronics. Boy were we wrong lol. We got a Dreamcast as well and absolutely loved it.
I completely agree with Brians take on psvr2 and meta quest 3. I am lucky enough to have both, with also the pleasure of having the psvr2 as the first VR headset i ever owned. When i got my psvr2, i only played VR games from 7 months straight then i bought a meta quest 3 and another 2 months of vr games only. For the past month i got back into flat screen gaming snd im playing catch up with flatscreen games while my VR backlog is mow getting backlogged lol. But ultimately, I believe psvr2 and meta quest 3 are not overall better than one another, but they are better than eachother in certain categories. But instead of turning quest vs psvr into a nintendo vs sega or playstation vs xbox debate, we should be cheering for VR to succeed on all fronts from psvr2, to meta quest 3 to pcvr
I only buy things to use so I open everything. I have the 20th anniversary controller and I am definitely going to get the 30th anniversary one to use on my original PS1🤘🏻
Well, I say sony should be credited with “building their library” this past year or so. That accolade goes to the indie studios who believe in VR and the psvr2 platform and i am forever grateful. Sony has played its part here and there, but ultimately they haven’t contributed enough to psvr2 games im terms of vr projects or first party games
I wish Trombone champ VR had a physical version, or could be bought via PS digital key to gift for christmas.. esp since Sony gives no way to gift digital games. (That I know of)
I've been asking for a modern first person remake of Resident Evil Remake with VR support for years! Of course there would have to be some creative changes to the game similar to RE2 Remake (please not RE3 Remake) to make it work but the mostly claustrophobic maze like environments would be so much fun for a VR horror game! But honestly, I'd just settle for RE7 PSVR2 port right now. Either way, I'm looking forward to whatever RE9 can bring to VR. Here's to hoping it can be more horror focused than RE8 was. 🤞
Finnaly I got a psVR2, but still I dont have a ps5 yet. I already have the pc adaptor and the Bluetooth adaptor, what else do I need to fully enjoy vr2 on pc? How about those prescription lenses?
Nab the a Globular cluster psvr2 headphones since they are custom made to attach to the vr headset perfectly, and sound WAY better then the stock earBuds psvr2 comes with. And wont fall off. I love mine. They are almost as good as the sony $200 headphones without the hassle of another thing you have to put on. Take it from a VR vet the GC-PH2 are the best for VR gaming convenience. :) ..side note, They make a cool forehead pad setup too, incase you get headaches, but its not needed if it dosnt happen to u, it only happen to some players who have sensitive forehead veins. lol Happy VR'ing!
I would say the Globular Cluster Mod kit. Literally game changing comfort wise, keeps that sweet spot. And yes, prescription lenses help a lot with the clarity. I didn’t need them on quest 2 and 3, but for some reason on the vr2 it’s a big difference.
I saw you talking about good haptics when talking about Trombone Champ. Does Phasmophobia use the features of the headset and Sense Controllers may I ask? I own it on PC VR but thinking of purchasing the PSVR2 version. All the gadgets you get in the game could have a different feel using triggers and haptics. You could feel a presence through the headset, things like that. Thanks for the show chaps.
I believe they’ve said in the past there’s no head haptics or adaptive triggers so I’d just stick with the pcvr version and play it with your psvr2, that’s what I do lol
Yes after looking into it what you said is exactly what I have heard. If they give me no reason to buy it again then I won't. I think those features could have really added to the immersion.
no one knows for sure. I think its a new "star wars" VR game. Some people think its this or that but no one has proven it because the trailers & in game footage they claim it is, dont match perfectly. so no one has been able to prove it. I am almost sure its star wars because in a couple of frames you can see a imperial star destroyer reflection in the window when it exploding. But its not easy to see enough for me to give a time stamp here. But in the "original high def" trailer by sony, it is noticeable. Either way it looks awesome what ever it is. :)
Whereas the villager scene in that trailer is supposed to represent RE4 (we believe) it's fair to say the space section looks similar enough to the beginning of Alien Rogue Incursion -- so it might be that.
Hated the Resident Evil Remake. Played the OG at my cousins house on PS and it was my soul deciding factor on going Playstation as well. Have in no way regretted going that route.
I basically just have to click on the object in OBS that is capturing the image my co-host from the discord call we're on. And the second I do that it basically reminds OBS "oh right, there's supposed to be something on screen here". Seems like a bug, but at least I know how to fix it. What's strange is that it works perfectly offline, it only becomes an issue when we go live
It is. CPU does calculations, like AI/lots of NPCs and physics, GPU does video rendering. GPU upgrade and PSSR implementation will get many VR games to 90 or 120 native
@@WithoutParole Played it earlier and to be honest I didn't notice any difference, I'm just pissed off I've had to install a large update that's just for the PS5 Pro.
@@avaron_VR_Gamecat Mate I've just finished Metro it's a great game but the Mura is pretty bad which has kind of spoiled it for me, I've played plenty of games on the VR2 which have dark areas and not experienced Mura as bad as Metro but it's still a top game and those spiders were another WTF moments in VR for me.

I'm not hopeful on PSSR being positive, or even coming to PS VR2 despite thingy-ma-bob saying so. Reason being that even the best DLSS has significant problems for VR games. I imagine it's a problem due to the fact that each eye sees a different flat image, and each image will be artificially upscaled introducing artifacts. So instead of one slightly artifacted image on a monitor/TV which the brain does not have to resolve into one image, imagine the brain seeing two sets of artifacts it then has to combine and resolve into one mental image through the headset. It could be a blur-fest. If Sony can solve this, they will have bested Nvidia. And there's a reason why Nvidia is the world's largest publicly traded company. I really hope Sony can do it.
I like a lot of the cool features in VR games like shooting a gun and sword fighting, but I think many people still want to play with a traditional controller. I wonder if just making a game VR, but playing like you would on flatscreen can convert more people. I was playing RE4 and you have to reload the gun like you would in real life.
