You know that scene at the end of Happy Gilmore, where everyone is watching in awe and suspense as he tries to make the last hole through all the obstacles? I feel that was us watching CGB try to figure out the combo AND still pull of the win. :D
Oh man, this deck brings back SO MANY memories... Back in Mirrodin, I made a deck similar to this one, based on the "Krark-clan engine" (Ironworks + 2 Myr Retrievers). Once you had that on the table, just drop a Genesis Chamber, or maybe an Arcbound Crusher, or Arcbound Ravager, or Disciple of the Vault... You get the idea. Looking at this deck, it just feels like it wants to have Ugin + Karn on the table ASAP, get Mystic Forge so you can start throwing EVERYTHING you have in the deck, get Sai, start pumping out tokens like a chinese factory and just overwelm your opponent with all those crappy flyers. And, for bonus points, drop the scepter to rip your opponent's face off immediately with those same crappy flyers come into play if you have enough keys.
@@Kumagoro42 Really? Huh, I had no idea, I've never played Modern, just Standard and Legacy. And I made that deck 15 years ago. But yeah, the Ironworks archetype can do nasty things
Dude if you put sai master thopterist on the field with flood of tears..and then drop lotus, and alll the other small artifacts, you swarm the opponent with dorks.
Hey CGB, I like this type of video, but your opening gave me an idea. What do you think of showing us that tweaking period? Taking a deck and trying out your changes live. It'd be cool to see your deck building mind at work.
I actually played against someone running this deck earlier today. I drew horribly in all three games, but still managed to beat it down with Grixis Control. Very annoying deck to play against
I've actually built a very similar deck when the treasure event was live, except that I used stuff like Masterful Replication to do some degenerate stuff. Apparently turning every artifact into Shard makes you a whole bunch of mana....which you can sink into something like Banefire. Also, in the treasure event deck I ran the white artifact + enchantment board clear, which I paired up with the "deal 5 damage when this goes into graveyard" wand, which I would replicate
It lakes something to this deck, like obviously, just by seeing the deck list (I didn't watch the rest of the video, just sharing first feeling about it) : the 1/1 artifact creature for (2), from M20 which gives +1/+1 to all your artifact creatures when you tap it. Because if you want to generate tokens, it seems rather good to have it, am I wrong? Dunno...
Only watched up to 3rd game so far, but it looks like: Get 3 Keys to fully charge the Scepter each turn, then use Karn to fetch God Statue, turn it into a creature, and throw it at the opponent. The 4th Key is to make the Statue unblockable if needed, but you could just torture the opponent with 20 turns of burn damage instead. Alternatively, you could also hit the opponent with Globes and Keys for extra fun.
made a deck somewhat similar to this some time ago but i didnt think of the weaponsmith plus guild globe to get ugin out fast, thats awesome the real combo here is actually ugin + mystic forge. flood spins the wheels some more when needed. painful not getting forge with karn when you can or not defending ugin enough.
Grafdigger's Cage would've shut down the first person's deck "Creature cards in graveyards and libraries can't enter the battlefield. Players can't cast spells from graveyards or libraries."
I think for these kind of decks, the videos would be more interesting of you 'studied' a bit, like watching Matt play it first. In any case, I love your vids and never miss one. Keep up the good show!
You gotta commend this doctor, the things he was willing to do for the sake of science, saving the lives of countless in the future. Sure, he was a bit of an asshole but he undoubtedly left his positive mark on history.
I am only in the first game, but think mystic forge is the core combo piece you are not seeing! edit: Ah you figured it out in the second game, I like seeing you play this deck!
1:08:10 you could have untapped the geode with that incolor mana then you have two mana to play the creature without sacrificing the Globe. So this was a mistake.
Please do another video with this deck when you know what you're doing. I feel like this deck can do some pretty cool things when you know how to use it :)
47:27 "I am sure I can draw more artifacts, right? We're not just going to flood out from here, are we? Are we?" … The next 2 draws are Flood of Tears… LITERALLY "Flood"'ing... Arena's got a sense of humor :D
for a few videos now I kept hearing a baby in the background and then realized it was the cat a lot of mystery gone just like that. and p.s what are you doing? I am confused =P I am only about 15 minutes deep so hopefully the master will enlighten me.
Hello there master! Could you please play a slimefoot deck running four biomancers familiars? That could be funny, especially with copy spells... Just think about it! 👍
I swear the side-effect of making your opponent concede out of impatience IS the win-condition of this deck.
I love that the titles of the videos are slowly showing CGBs Descent into madness waiting for the next set.
Or how to win by boring your opponent to death
God Pharoh's Statue + Karn's plus ability = big artifact creature, add in Helm of the Hosts for copies
Forgot to mention that you can do the same combo with Meteor Golem to clone and destroy lots of permanents.
I don't know what you're doing, but I know that it's pretty spicy.
1:09:00 “You’re my boys... and 1% gals out there.” Well, I guess I’m proud to be in the 1% somewhere 😂
You know that scene at the end of Happy Gilmore, where everyone is watching in awe and suspense as he tries to make the last hole through all the obstacles? I feel that was us watching CGB try to figure out the combo AND still pull of the win. :D
You have made an hour fifteen minute long video just for us!? You’re too kind
Loved the "EUREKA" moment when you realized it was a Mystic Forge deck.
I like your videos, dude. You always seem so chill and positive. Keep up the good work, man.

Back in Mirrodin? Dude, Krark-Clan Ironworks was banned *this year* in Modern because its archetype was too powerful.
@@Kumagoro42 Really? Huh, I had no idea, I've never played Modern, just Standard and Legacy. And I made that deck 15 years ago. But yeah, the Ironworks archetype can do nasty things
1% gal says you should definitely do more videos like this, it was a lot of fun to try to figure out the deck alongside you!
Dude if you put sai master thopterist on the field with flood of tears..and then drop lotus, and alll the other small artifacts, you swarm the opponent with dorks.
Hey CGB, now you feel how it is when I copy your decks everyday on mtg, and i have no idea what im doing :D
FYI: if you block, and then sacrifice the blockers, then no damage gets through.
Never laughed so much while watching a MTGA video, so you did something right... :)

I played this deck earlier against grixis control lol but I won so wasn't you. Matchmaker is still weird confirmed
wtf andrew, are you gay?
I enjoyed this episode. Thanks CGB!!
Please tell me you record more and its discovering this deck. Seems fun.
Tap, untap, Tap, untap, Tap, untap, do nothing, go!
I love it.
live action 1990S ninja turtles is forever burned into my memory..the best movie!
I feel like this deck needs Finale of Revelation to just draw the entire thing with all that mana

That sounds like an awesome deck! This is real magic, not thought erasure nonsense! It's a shame all these great artifacts are rotating soon...
What good Irishman couldn't stumble outside of a pub in Dublin after a Saturday night stumbling is pretty much a national sport
Great video, will definitely try out.. appreciate the videos you've been putting up.. Go Blue!!
Nice tip on the 2x speed, this deck made me laugh, what about a banefire win con? If you get the lotus you can use red
I GOTTA FEELIN'

the problem is that it floods out
i’m very sorry for the pun
Definitely proud that I can handle a drink. Not even mad.

Wish I had the wildcards to craft this. This deck looks so much fun.
Pretty sure at least one combo in the deck is meteor golem + helm of the host which speaks to the need for so much mana
GTSavesTheDay Helm of the host wasn't in the original decklist though, but that's certainly an option
Vyggdrasil ahh yeah, didn’t catch that, still pretty cool though if it could be sustained
Isnt there like 1 mana artifact that shuts graveyard decks now? wouldnt that be good to include to fetch with Karn?
Sentinel totem is in the sideboard already
@@pokeyclawz8727 grafdiggers cage and silent gravestone are much better options especially against reanimator decks
@@nasserlaham2108 the cage shuts off the mystic forge though, I think the forge is a big piece of the deck.
Nasser Laham hey man, i was just pointing it out, i didnt make the deck 👹
@@pokeyclawz8727 yeah ik i was just explaining what the initial comment meant
Why dont you use the artifact that doesn't allow abilities and spells to target the graveyard?
Grafdigger's Cage would've shut down the first person's deck "Creature cards in graveyards and libraries can't enter the battlefield. Players can't cast spells from graveyards or libraries."

Wouldn´t be easier to win with tezzeret?

No Saheeli to make more p shards? I’m genuinely upset

What is its win con other than "thopter throw down"
Thopters or Helm of Host on God Pharoah Statue / Meteor Golem, or Ugin's tokens.
Please do another video with this deck when you know what you're doing. I feel like this deck can do some pretty cool things when you know how to use it :)
Antiquities War would be good in this

I had fun dirdling with you. *cgb played flail*
*crowd goes wild*
Play with Weatherlight or Helion 2 and get vehicle triggers with Karn, so much fun!
From what I can tell, the plan is stalling with flood of tears, getting enough mana, 3 keys and the wand to go infinite turns, right?
Pretty sure wincon is statue plus scepter for infinite turns/damage and slamming opponent with theaters if you'd deck by then.
I had most of the cards so I gave it a try. It's so slow, but fun too.
for a few videos now I kept hearing a baby in the background and then realized it was the cat a lot of mystery gone just like that. and p.s what are you doing? I am confused =P I am only about 15 minutes deep so hopefully the master will enlighten me.
Those pants look too light to be any Magic the Gathering sleep pants!
Any deck with Renowned Weaponsmith is an automatic Favorite for me!
I love this deck list so much I do not even know what it does! Please play it more (?)
transmorgrifying wand could stop the dragon. consider putting it into the sideboard next time
Where Did You Goez... Scarry.... lol
Put in a millstone. With all that mana you can disrupt their deck if they have any God-Eternals or anything good on top etc.
What the hell is the wincon?
Amulet shuts down Sai tokens too
I don't know what I am watching but it looks good
Try to mix the top 5 meta decks into one 60 card deck
_What about one 300 card deck?_
Chipmunk mode!
Helm the god Pharoah statue to shut opponent down from casting anything
25 minutes in: CGBSings RUclips channel preview
Chaos wand for mega fun.
The win con for this deck seems to be annoying the opp into conceding
Not enough tezzeretation!
This deck is sweet
Missing Omniscience I think...
BOSSA NOVA!
I still don't understand what's the aim of this deck. Too complicated for a casual player!😂

ya?
Bring back affinity 2019
Well cgb cant say i am a big fan of this 1 bud
Needs traxos
Those Karn sideboard cards are so bad. There has to be better wishes.
liked for the cringe bep cover
Good deck and bad performance
Obnoxious nonsense shananigans
Wtf is this deck!?
What a boring Deck oO
