Great tutorials, I love Capcut but been told they will take certain information and photos from you? How true us that? The reason I ask, I like to make a family tree video for our family. Would you recommend this for personal images and videos from family events etc?

I switched from Davinci Resolve to CapCut because DR had way more bells and whistles than I needed. I like the simplicity of Capcut much better although a bit disappointed to learn who the parent co is

Yah it's a pretty nice program for simpler projects. Still, I use it in combination with Davinci Resolve and Premier. It just depends on what project I'm working on.
(Also yah hate byte dance)

@@PrimalVideo I have tried the 3 editors on my PC with the same video clip.
CapCut - 4 minutes - 1,7 GB file size
DaVinci - 15 minutes - 2,5 GB file size - the SSD got hot and ventilation worked hard
Filmora - 15 minutes - 2,65 GB
I will stick with my good, trusty and easy to use free version of the CapCut!
Any thoughts on Splice as opposed to CapCut?
I have worked with many VE programs and was a devotee of Premiere Pro for many years before switching to DaVinci. Resolve is now all I use, though it isn't for beginners.
Hi! Which Mac do you need to use CapCut? I.e. does it need at least 8GB RAM or Apple M1 or anything like that?
I mean I can run it on phone easily
Filmora video editor is intuitive and capable without massive system requirements. Not free but not overly expensive.
I'm using filmora only bcoz of the built-in screen recording, but as an editing software it has limitations and bugs.

Cap Cut I already used for last one year but now Text option not working bit all other features are working. Already uninstalled and installed also but same is happening. From India. Any idea can suggest.
What about Movavi or Envato?
I love Davinci and will never change but I’m still on the free version so I don’t have access to magic mask.. That’s where CapCut comes in with its AI cutout. Fast easy way to create a video then cut yourself out to place yourself wherever. Very ideal for people that want to put a fake RUclips studio in their background over sitting in your car 😎

I had Filmora but always found it clunky to use. Was not user friendly and constant updates would change what you had learned. Not recommended.

Sadly capcut can't give more than 4K videos.. my gopro records 5.3K and it's quite sad that the edited videos won't look as good as recorded.
Same! I recorded 5.3K this weekend and am devastated at the news.
Do the free versions cause a watermark on the videos? i would assume so im looking for something thats free that doesnt add a watermark

CapCut doesn't add watermarks... I was actually really surprised that I was able to add effects, subtitles, even an AI person that moves and talks and says whatever you want, exported in AV1 to 4K @ 60fps.... all with no watermarks, and its actually really fast at exporting too. I totally didn't expect that! I thought it'd be like, 720p, watermark, 5 minute limit or something, especially for the AI generator!

Cap cut is having issues with user to be able to get videos to export... it uploads before one can adjust to last version... really... once a week???
We use it all the time and haven’t experienced this..
Powerdirector is a great software with great features for holiday, events, social media creating videos

I've been using Power Director 365 for about three years. It gets the job done for real estate videos, has solid support with their online Help index and email response. Lots of media assets available, too. (TONS!). What got me looking at Capcut was that Power Director's transitions seem to only be available in the 16x9 format. I had a video series I am creating that''s in 9x16, so I started using Capcut. It has everything I need at this point, plus a LOT better color grading tools. I'm probably not going to renew my PD 365 subscription when it comes up next year, about $60.

Well you can crack it, and i mean i have 8gb ram and it rarely crashes
I hate Davinci Resolve for the sole fact that you can't install it outside from the main drive
I installed da Vinci resolve and didn't work well in my laptop. I had to uninstall it again.
You need a powerful Computer / workstation for DaVinci Resolve. Especially for 3D motion graphics
Same here, though I have a pretty powerful PC. CapCut worked fine and also earlier installed PinnacleStudios latest version. Bit sad that DaVinci won't work...
