We went our separate ways in the Corps but reunited in the very middle of the desert during Desert Storm. I was walking and he was riding a and boom met at a desert intersection. It was indeed good to see him.

Can you blame them if they join the US military instead of the Philippine military? The U S military takes care of their service members whether you are a a ranking officer or not. They have excellent lifetime benefits even after they retire from the service. Unlike in the Philippines if you are just an ordinary soldier they are taken for granted. They even have a hard time securing their pensions.

Guys, West Point molds cadets to become excellent leaders just like any military academies around the world. West Point style of leadership is for Americans which means Filipino WestPointers have to unlearn when they come back to effectively lead Filipino soldiers. All USMA foreign cadets will return to their respective countries to serve as commissioned officers in their armed forces. They cannot be commissioned as officers in the US Armed Forces dahil hindi sila US citizens.
