Thank you for the video. 👍🏼 I have a 1983 200E. Is there a way you can make a video on how to adjust the gears. When I go to change gears sometimes it acts funny.
If you mean your transmission gears it’s probably in your clutch I can make a video on that, but if you mean your high/low shifter on the side I don’t really know I’ve never messed with one of those
hola soi propietario de un kawasaki klt 185 a del 1987 y me gustaria que hiciese algun video de la parte electrica y como solucionar averias de luz . gracias por tus videos
If your good, you can move that tooth over without taking the valve cover off. Its tricky but with the right tools thats how ive always done it. Real pain in the ass having to re seal that cover
Yep, very true, if you're even better you can get the valve top off with the engine still in the frame just takes some finesse. But why remove it at all when you really don't have to haha
These atcs per the manual says to use a silicone. At least for a 185 or 200s thats what the manual shows. I've never seen a valve cover gasket for one of these
Really good instruction, Thanks! I Do have a question though. I have an 85 200s The flywheel has a line with zero above it then the letter F after that it has another line with a zero above it than the letter T. The way I understand it is that I am to line up to the letter T correct ? I am wondering what the lines with the zeroes are for an what the F is for. Any insight you could give me would Shure be helpful. Thanks
Yes to time the engine you line up the timing mark with the line that says T the line with the F is the fire mark that is where the flywheel lines up when your spark plug fires
I saw you liked my comment, I just wanted to update, I was able to use what you show to get my xr185 running! Youre the man!
Thanks I’m glad to hear it worked!
Nice job explaining how to fix a jumped tooth on timing gear. Impressive considering how young you are!
Thanks a million man for taking your time to explain this it helped me a ton.
Just bought a 79 xr185 gunna use the knowledge you shared. Thank you brother.
I'm impressed. Subscribed!

Hey man I'm running into issues with my 200M.1985 Honda .on.timing but won't open up on throttle
If the timing chain is too loose when you start it the chain will move and be out of time so make sure chain is tite
@@Red-head-triple1 what if the guides and chain are worn?
Hey man I've got a 200s 1984 I really need some assistance is there any way to contact you
You can message me on instagram or tik tok
Thanks for the video, but now that I have timing right I don't have spark now, I did before..
are the pulset set of 185 is all the same with 125?
I don’t know if I had to guess I would say probably not because the 125 is a completely different motor
Very much a different style set up. Not interchangeable.

Just get a flat head screwdriver and pull gear of cam and turn the gear then put back on it’s easy you don’t have to take valve cover off
Do you know where you would be able to buy a valve cover gasket
You may still be able to get a OEM one from a Honda but if not I’d try eBay, or g&h discount atv supply
Why don’t you just buy some gasket material and cut your own out or bust out some oil gas resistant silicone

Just get gasket maker and make one or put gasket maker or something
