Yah you bet so there just wasn’t enough room to bring the chain over where the sprocket mounts to drop the chain down, so to remove the head you need to remove the camshaft so you can drop the chain and pull the head off, makes for a nice quick disassembly!
Could you tell if the cracked chain tensioner was OEM or aftermarket? There is a big difference in price. How is the aftermarket chain/tensioner/guide doing after a year?
The cracked on was definitely aftermarket, the new chain and guides I ordered where oem from Honda and only costed $89 with the 2 guides and chain, check out my most recent video of the xr200 when I took it out to the mountains, it was almost 2 years after I replaced everything and it still runs super strong, no loose timing chain noises so everything has held up this long!
Also check this video out, when I figured this issue out it was the solve to all my poor running issues and it have been a beast ever since ruclips.net/video/k1WPKlhw7dI/видео.html
@@tanmansbikebuilds931 The link you posted to another comment was for ebay. I'm finding Partzilla prices, just the OEM tensioner is $60, OEM guide $42, Daido chain $71. Compare that to the ebay link, $18 for all three.

Why did you remove the cam. Looks like job can b done without cam removal or did i miss something. Good vid.

Naw what the fuck I’ve been yanking on the whore for the past hour I’m about to throw the fucking block through dry wall
In the previous video, I used a puller and an impact to take the fly wheel off and I just rested it on there, without tightening it back on
