Phil - this song is my favorite project. I started by working on the chords, then the picking, the first little solo/fill, etc. I can see gradual progress but I know I am at least a month away from putting it all together. It is a lot of fun thanks to your instructions. I need to buy you another cup of coffee 😊

Thanks Tom, it's a fun song, glad you're getting there! It often takes me a month or so to get it all in place.

@@PhilDoleman That is encouraging to hear! I learn from the many good on-line sources but your approach appeals to me the most. Thanks for the great videos and wish you all the best.

Oh wow..... just this week put my Blind Boy Fuller CD in the truck! His style was almost made for the uke. Good ol' Rory Gallagher first hipped me to BBF. This is great. Swing on, sir!

another good one! don't know if I can make the larger stretches on my tenor guitar, but I'm sure going to try.
though I knew about him before, this made me sniff around for more on Blind Boy Fuller. I was surprised to learn that he'd written "Step It Up And Go," a version of which I'd done *many* times (on washboard) when I was with the Emerald City Jug Band.
live and learn I guess. 😊

You could always stick on a capo and makes those stretches a bit easier. Blind Boy Fuller had so many great songs!

Thanks Phil. Great song and very baritone friendly. I got your excellent explanation, but wonder if the sheet to support the screen charts is available on your Patreon site so I can follow it better whilst practicing? Cheers.

Oh Blimey Phil, I wish I hadn’t watched this great video - I’m still slowly getting to grips with ‘Crazy About You’, on my new baritone! Trouble is, even if I was good enough, I wouldn’t be singing this one. I’m a woman. Any Bessie Smith et al in your videos?🌷

I've just been working on a great Victoria Spivey song for a student which might fit the bill! I'll make it the next video :-)

I’ll look forward to that, Thank you🙏 - I’ve nearly got to grips with the ‘pattern straddling two chords’ challenge in ‘Crazy..’
Please don’t make it too difficult tho’…..😀🌷

Not sure what you mean by a melatona? The Beltona resonator baritone I play in another video is a custom instrument, costing over £1000 (it's not mine, I had to give it back!). the one in this video is a Noah, which is £279 www.noahukuleles.com/product/noah-baritone/
