don’t need a harmonica playing friend if I’m just making an audio recording. I’ve been playing harmonica for 58 years now. 😲 of course playing it live would require a partner, but it’s more fun playing with others anyway, so no problems there. great job as usual, Phil. loves me some ragtime!
This one is one my new album, and I played the harmonica on that recording (I'm a bit out of practice and ended up quite short of breath!). I doubled it with a kazoo, which might have to be what I do live. I tried the old 'harp in a rack', but it's going to take a lot more practice to play harmonica and uke at the same time!
@@PhilDoleman - I used to blow the backs off of them on the rack when I was playing guitar, but have found it just shy of impossible with a ukulele. I think it’s because I hold the uke higher than the guitar. it tends to bump against the bottom of the rack, which is disconcerting, and the harp gets in the way when trying to glance at the fingerboard for those longer jumps between chords. I keep thinking that I’ll try it again if I ever get a firm grasp on my tenor guitar chops.
Perfect Phil! I bought my baritone from Matt on Saturday at Old Riverport, and this will be my first song to learn. Thank you🌷
I agree with the other commenters. Excellent lesson and very nice song!
Excellent lesson; thanks for sharing!
Wonderful Phil. Love Playing the Baritone.
Wonderful stuff, Phil. Thanks!

I was doing rather well until the pattern was straddling two chords Aaarrrggghhh😱🌷
That's always a tricky thing when fingerpicking!
