At 14:16 nearly wet my pants laughing at Scotty’s reaction to the paper falling off 😂😂😂
I bloody lost my shit so funny 😂😂😂
Ditto
For a "first attempt" I'd say that looks the bollocks. 👍
the 2 dislikes are from fabricators who are losing business thanks to Scotty
LOL
i'm impressed with the air chisel for cutting, worth watching just to know that!
good job, made it look easy!
Glad you liked it!
I literally jumped out of my seat when i saw the air chisel, I've got a set and have never had the guts to use it , ever !!
They are great.
I watched all of this. Even played some of it back. I really liked watching your do this simple fab work with just you and your camera. Please do more.
Looks schmick! Can't wait to see it all painted up!
wouldn't be a true carnage episode without that 80's porn music ;)
I was going to say the same thing but I was thinking more 70s porn
Porn music 80s or otherwise should be all Victorians are hearing at this point in time as they are all GETTING _______HARD
I love seeing a Paella dish installed into a VG !
Good stuff Scott. Nicely done.
Was a rewarding job doing the tubs by myself on the ute.
Strangely satisfying watching that air chisel carve through the sheet metal!
As you said “you’re wrapped” with the job and that’s all that matters mate. I’ve got some Ryobi Airwave stuff and they actually work great.
Thank you for the fuckin amazing edit when the cardboard fell in hahaha amazing, subscribing because of that amazing moment!
Scotty I can safely say I've seen qualified tradesmen produce lower quality work than what you have. Good effort. You're having a crack
Awesome! Great job, especially in your shed at home! Enjoying the build
Nice job Scotty . Looking forward to the build as she progresses. I love wagons and utes. I have a one tonner Im doing up. Love Street Machine Magazine. Been collecting every one since the 80s. awesome now i can watch you guys doing it on tv. Sweet AS...
Scotty well done mate you inspired me to do my car only i made my tubs smaller so i can fit the back seat in again and take the family for a drive your a legend fella keep the great videos coming love your stuff
14:06 had to watch it a few times, man i had a good laugh.
Excellent lockdown content, Scotty! Keep up the good work.
Outstanding effort Scotty! Keep the videos comin brother!
that's awesome, great work, can't wait to see this done!
Excellent video. I have all the tools and skills required to do this but never really seen it done step by step. Now Im definately going to mini tub my next car. Thanks for the video
Scotty, You make us proud brother. Job well done I recon.
Did a mad job man! Air chisel was the tool of choice to cut the old ones out! Keen to see next episode!!
Thanks mate
i have been dying for more Episodes keep up the good work and hopefully when you finish the project i can see it in person one day
I cut an old steel water tank in half around the circumference with a hammer and the side of a chisel when I had no idea. It worked OK but the first time I saw an affordable air chisel I bought it. Great tool.
Spot on Scotty...looks great.
LOVE THE CONTENT! I never knew bodywork could be interesting.
Great work Scotty..
Awesome job, you made it look too easy. The power of video editing. Keep at it as I’m enjoying the build!
done awesome mate love your work
14:10. Love the raw content Scotty 😂. Keep up the good work 🤙🏻
This is a really neat job. You make it look so easy.
I have said it many times- nothing beats the sound of a Mig welder crackling when you get the settings right
I live for the day i get my mig welder settings right..nothing but bird shit and spatter from my welds..starting to think the dials are just for show
Those tubs came out great. Good work
The tubs look great Scotty, look forward to the finishing off.
Love the builds scotty 🙌🏻💯
I have watched many other "mini-tubbing" videos and you are the ONLY one to use an air chisel. I believe you are indeed correct at its efficiency. Looks really good too!
Hi there - I enjoy watching all your videos - You do a pretty good job with all your projects on your cars - Keep up the good work mate
The tubs are looking good great work scotty
Great episode once again m8. Your making it look easy
You're doing exceptional work and making it up as you go, which is genius talent. A few tips to try out, use magnets on the paper or cardboard instead of tape when roughing in templates. Also grind a curve on the corners of the new sheet to prevent it blowing through and just spot each weld an inch apart. The heat from stitch welding will warp the panel and if you tried that on a door bottom or rocker panel you'll see what I mean. Love your work Scotty, always a pleasure to watch. Hope you and the family are well.
Hope You and and the Family are Well Scotty I'm really enjoying the Build 👍
Awesome work scotty love it. Good to see we're all human and have a bit of a cuss every now and then when things give you the shits 😂 keep up the good work mate.
Good job Scotty. First time anything is always a daunting challenge, but you’ve done good.👍
Thanks 👍
Great job Scotty, i want to do this to my wagon now haha
Thanks heaps Scotty, this will be sick
Really enjoyed watching I believe you have done a great job
Top job mate looks awesome
Scotty thats looking not to shabby well done mate
Great mate, love it.
Great how to video on the rear tubs mate 👌🏼 its not perfect but its impressive, functional and BUILT NOT BOUGHT. 🙏🏼 love it 😍 im going to be attempting rear tubs in my 06 vz sedan soon. Will be rewatching this to use as reference during the modification 🤙🏼 then onto shaving and fabricating my engine bay to hide all the wiring, hardline etc so the blown and injected LS is front and center and not a clutted f@&k like a tradies ute tray. Will hopefully do a vlog on my vz L98 blown & injected custom build for burnouts, powercruise, summernats etc and post as i build it in the home garage myself. Should be fun
Awesome effort for first tubs!!!!
The lockdown build is awesome!
Thanks a lot!
Tubbs building tubbs, lol
Great work Scotty
Nice work, Scotty! Air chisel is the business.
Great job scotty
Looks tops mate 👍
Top job Scotty ,primo job for a virgin wheel tubber turned out Killa 👍👌
Mate you had a good go bud. And it turned out pretty good.👍👍
Awesome video today Scotty thank you keep up the good work.
Glad you enjoyed it
good job mate and what an efficient air chisel
Love ya work Scotty,
Now i need to buy one of those Ryobi Air Shears, thanks for that.
Great job Scotty 👌
Awesome job for a first time and a great learning clip , keep up the great work and stuff all the haters they’re only jealous mate .
Love your work mate! Hopefully you can get back to some normality in Melbourne soon.
G'day from West Australia, 😉 can't see any failures, buddy, grinders are made for metal working for a reason!!!
Besides that you and indeed we all learnt with you! Well done shame gas bottles run dry😉🙂👍👍
I'd say that it looks pretty good. The parts you will see will look schmick. And even the parts you can't will be flappy disked nicely anyway. Once you paint that as well it will look good and proper.
Top work! I would have been too scared to do it myself without help. Good on ya!
Mate i really enjoy your videos. i think you're doing a great job.
I appreciate that!
Awesome stuff. Going to mini tub the vg sedan soon so its able to take barra power. This is great info for my old man who is an ex panel beater to be able to follow.
Done well Scotty!
I was just introduced to the tig welder at work for a no grind finish.
Looking forward to you going back to the workshop when dictator Dan lets you return
Looks good mate 👍🏼
Looks schmick Scotty. Great first attempt for sure. Congrats.
Looks mint good job👌🏻 just a tip bro: push with a mig, drag with an arc👍🏻 Pushing gives more penetration and is also stronger, not saying your welds aren’t good they are sweet👌🏻 awesome job Scotty💪🏻
Looking good!
Goodjob mate!
Congrats a job well done. Wagons are the best.
Looks great to me, now you have me contemplating mini tubbing my ap5
Well done man 👌👌
love it well done
I love the sound of that chisel gun!!!
Great job, looks the business 👍
THERE AINT NOTHING... STICKY TAPE CANT FIX! TUBBTASTIC
pausing at 4:22 for a moment, HOW GOOD IS A BLOODY AIR CHISEL!
Great vid again Scotty, really appreciate these, showing us that anyone can have a go, if you take your time, you can do anything.
It took me 50 years to discover how good they are
Hey Scotty, now that you are free from the confines of a previous sponsor, how about investigating the properties of a product called Steel-it?
That Air chisel trick is old school Scotty, Before plasma cutters and reciprocal saws you'd have a few air chisels handy like 5 inch grinders today.
The awesome thing about the Air chisel is even good ones are cheap and if you are a TAVO like me you can use them with some basic fab to stretch panel steel or with a decent dolly create all sorts of carnage and best bit? No Sparks or grinder swarf/Plasma Slag.
BTW did you remember the Righty Loosy Lefty tighty when you dropped the back wheels off? Still gets me every time!
You have done well grasshopper , soon it will be time for you to leave the garage ,👍
Nice job bro.👍
Good job, well done.
You done a good job mate
Who could argue with those results? It is probably better than the original anyway. You have done really well, almost no sins for the sound deadener to hide. It really is getting the love it deserves.
But we'll probably add some sound deadener anyway
@@STREETMACHINETV Like the bellowing hemi will have road noise drowning it out. Oh it will be there to protect the metal from the high speed molten rubber balls.
we're still on for the 1jz vs 1jz race Scotty don't you worry
making 300kw at the wheels now
Great work and respect Scotty for giving it a go yourself. Hopefully you got some fat wheels to take up the space.
Great video
Scotty did you get this work cleared and certified by your Chancellor Dan Andrews .... NAUGHTY NAUGHTY 😅🙏❤
Absolutely air chisel for the win . I wasn't sure how good that was going to work, but it worked great.
Scotty, man of many talents
Tubs. Covid lock down. Making a bigger beer tummy lol
You’re a wizard with that air chisel Scotty! Good job man. I did Detroit speed mini tubs in my Firebird, they are more formed to fit so it was easier than those, but those work good for a one size fits all, I probably would have left a half inch of metal to use as a flange from the old tub on the inner quarter panel, then just used self tappers to fit it all in, but your finished product is good to go
Yeah unfortunately the slight size (about 50mm) difference in diameter prevented that
That's the ticket, well done Sir.
You done a fantastic job from the blind man
You’re a talented man Scotty..
Thanks. Also remember I filmed and edited the whole thing as well :)
I think people forget that side sometimes
Looks mint 👍👍
