I drove a 240 for 10yrs, never felt like that after a drive. That is one scarey machine. Well done Scotty, I like it.

I wasn’t a fan of the trolvo but it’s growing on me slowly like a dreaded Whart 😆 imagine the hero’s in their rice burners having their doors blown off by a stock looking Volvo love it looking forward to seeing run down the 1/4 👍

Ash Davies at DVS performance has you covered for all volvo suspension. Im running his specd springs, bilstein shocks up front and adjustable konis in the rear with chassis bracs up front too. Pretty sure he's in your neck of the woods too

Scotty, you’re a pro at this now! Good job. Tech tip, turn those oil or transmission bottles so you pour it out the side instead of the front, it won’t chug like that and spill because the air can get back into the bottle to displace the fluid

Scotty most of what you felt was the stock suspension. My 180sx was making around 300rwkW with stock suspension, I put in Tein coilovers / Cusco gear in it, and I suddenly went from needing to change my underwear after every drive, to ohh this feels good. You can see it in the video that stock suspension looks nasty under power.

Odd how the auto's first designed in the 50's and 60's are still the go-to boxes.
maybe it is because they only have a few gears so those can be made bigger/stronger? No lock up mechanism either.
They were also made for big torquey V8s so the gearsets are sufficiently chunky from the start.
Yep the turbo 400 was behind the big block Chevy and were in tow trucks 👍
a340 is a good box and seen them handle 800+ but here the right move is the turbo 400 they are a better box at the end of the day and with the issues you've had i understand completely.

And i did not see use any Shifters getting used this time.
I was thinking about that, but have you ever tried to use a shifter on a tailshaft U bolt? Damn near impossible to get one in there and turn it without fouling on something. Or so I am told :O)

I have Used a Shifter to Strip a Car down before.
I don't recommend ever doing this. It's a bloody nightmare.
@@dvorcemkrmotorsports8835 have been way too guilty of using a shifter on things I shouldn't, I say this from first hand experience. Ring and open ended spanners are the easy way.

It'd be good to see the difference in the torque figures from the dyno of this trans setup versus the previous one, I bet this combo delivers a heap of midrange. Should easily blow the tyres off in 2nd gear rolling along! Great stuff Scotty!!!

Next time you're filling something out of a bottle, turn it 90 degrees so the handle is to the side (think of how you're holding it as 12 o clock, and you want to hold it at 3 o clock or 9 o clock)
The air equalises and itll come out as a steady stream rather than go everywhere

What stall did you end up putting in the converter Scotty?
Scotty, was the old a340 built at all? And was it the old version or the newer one? Got a 1jzgte with a r154 manual making 420kw and thinking going auto but don’t know whether to build a a340 or go turbo400. Cheers guys

Angles, angles, angles.... Now look under the rear of a bogie prime mover and the jack shaft can easily pull 30 degree uni angles. Three times the diameter and weight of the Volvo shaft and they hold fine...

Great Car, bit fanciful saying 10 second all day though.
At it's current stage I'd say a fun little 12 sec car all day without anything breaking.
Love the Car though.
I've converted 351's into these thing 3 times and had a blast with them!
I feel deep 11s is a certainty. It feels nearly as quick as turbo taxi

Scotty please put a external tans cooler on her otherwise she will stuff up for sure, not saying the T400 will not handle the power its about future proofing it right? Keep up the great work also where's the drags upload, red centre drags is that still going on or it has not started yet?

It's an age old battle, but recommended by trans builder
Yes GM may have, but the clutches the trans builder used may use another type of fluid. ALWAYS CHECK WHAT THE CLUTCH MANUFACTURER RECOMMENDS. If not, you’ll be in for a bad time.
