On the Peugeot XD2,XD3 straight1s and turbodiesels, the round rubber seal for injector outlets would start leaking with introduction of low sulfur. The fix was switch to silicon ORing from previous rubber ORing on the Bosch pump. Running 1 quart Dextron ATF in tank occasionally would help with silicone seal from shrinking also. FYI, Cummings,VW,BMW, Toyota,etc. they followed Peugeots act with no electronic and ECM controlled Bosch minimax Injection pump, developed for Peugeot for turbodiesel variant of XD2s in 1979 for 604 turbodiesel,worlds 1st production car with a turbodiesel. Minimax means turbo boost would change fuel quantity relative to boost pressure either mechanically or with electro solenoid controlled by ECM.
And with all the fuel that dumped out. Did you have to refill the pump from the hose? Or did you just let it crank tell it worked it's self out? Can these little engines really do that? With that much air in the system?

My injector pump is leaking from the black cover that has the wires . How do I fix it, please ?
