Superb video, AB. The way you just allow things to evolve, whilst remaining calm, giving those you interact with enough time to dig big holes for themselves, is superb. Too many auditors forget the video provides all the evidence of interaction, and allow their ego and the red mist to form in front of their eyes, thus spoiling the interaction. Team leader Karen was not impressed at her perceived authority was being successfully challenged so she went into the "man filming women" default mode. A very pathetic mode give that they were in a public office carrying out office duties, not in bikinis or trying on the latest underwear. Then glasses plod and jacket plod start off well, but then they are confused, possibly from the misinformation from TL Karen. I’m also a Civil Servant and sad to see such behaviour from them. AB I can honestly tell you that some CS live in an imaginary world, a bubble with little knowledge of how the real world is. I’m a senior cs dealing with such matters frequently, my advice is always, don’t share personal data, do not give people an audience after its clear they are performing a lawful activity, on the other hand I do encourage contact if it appears suspicious. But as relevant questions and move on, don’t become the spectacle

Too many auditors forget the video provides all the evidence of interaction, and allow their ego and the red mist to form in front of their eyes, thus spoiling the interaction.
Team leader Karen was not impressed at her perceived authority was being successfully challenged so she went into the "man filming women" default mode. A very pathetic mode give that they were in a public office carrying out office duties, not in bikinis or trying on the latest underwear. Her body language was interesting; crossed arms, turning to look for some confirmation of her argument from someone, not listening to logic, etc. The coffee request totally threw her. She was torn between being a normal sociable person and being some kind of authoritative figure. She kept stating "her team" to indicate to you she has some power, irrelevant to you, obviously, which is why she could not come over as too authoritative
Red scarf Karen was interesting. Her body language was fascinating. The closing of the eyes while making a point. Declining to know enough about data protection, although, I get the feeling she will have some choice words to Team Leader Karen and her team for displaying screens. I personally love the dismissal of interest in the situation.
Team leader Karen's lies and misinformation to the police will be very embarrassingly felt when she watches the video, which she should.
Then glasses plod and jacket plod start off well, but then they are confused, possibly from the misinformation from TL Karen. The notion that they can just post their bodycam video footage online if they want, is ludicrous beyond belief, and then trying to claim it is the same as TL Karen's argument was unbelievably naive and very unprofessional.

Councils have forgotten that they are there to serve the public. They have assumed powers over the public and have found that they enjoy exercising those powers. They are reluctant to lose any of those powers and this is reflected in the behaviour of council workers. It is time for change.

I’m also a Civil Servant and sad to see such behaviour from them. AB I can honestly tell you that some CS live in an imaginary world, a bubble with little knowledge of how the real world is. I’m a senior cs dealing with such matters frequently, my advice is always, don’t share personal data, do not give people an audience after its clear they are performing a lawful activity, on the other hand I do encourage contact if it appears suspicious. But as relevant questions and move on, don’t become the spectacle

2 - If she wanted you to delete any footage, she or the police would need a court order to do that.

The police do/can put footage online, either via FB or on CH5 programs etc. They mentioned that if there's a criminal case ongoing then they cant put that persons face/details out there, but as AB was doing nothing wrong, they could put the footage of him online.
The police were merely giving an example and were not saying they would put footage of AB online. Well handled by the police who stayed calm, professional and understood ABs right to film... They didnt even ask him his name etc?
