Used to own this exact color 2008 GX. I now own 2017 GX. Awesome machines. I don't do serious off roading so my gx will stay mostly stock but Im tempted to add some rims/AT tires
THey make an extra gas tank for these-- that fits where the spare goes-- and gives the truck 56 gallon capacity instead of 23...which I would probably do.. but .. I think- well, I'm 67 and not ins such good health any more-- most likely won't be "offroading" anywhere.. just don't know if it's worth it-- maybe should get a Mazda CX-5 or CX-50 instead.. for winter driving.
WHAT is your ACTUAL gas mileage on that monster??? I LOVE these things-- and am considering one..since I like them so much- just curious- what is the ACTUAL mpg on this-- from your experience? I'd love one- but I don't know how practical it is-- since I have so many "pains" now from getting mashed in between 2 trucks in 99 that a jolt from this offroad would KILL my back etc... but I DO love them..
If you want something smoother, look at the LX. The hydraulic suspension there absorbs bumps way better than the GX. Of course, that's assuming it hasn't had the AHC deleted
Looking to get a 2005 and up because it has more hp than the 2003 and 2004 models. It’s weird though that the 2005 has more hp than the newer models. I don’t get why they decided to do that.
front: to clear the tires when in full lock(being on 33's, definitely necessary for 35's when actually articulating offroad), rear: to add extra degree in departure angle. kinda what high clearance rear bumpers do but without the added weight.

I am lucky to get 17 at a steady 85 on highways and not much better in town...well worth the extra fuel for such a reliable and capable machine

its cheaper than my subaru outback brotha. older model gx's are not expensive. just expensive to drive since the mpgs are terrible.
