    With the slab prep it seemed odd to me that they wouldn’t choose to use gravel instead of trucking in dirt. And I didn’t see if they cut any control joints into the slab after it was poured. Overall though I really liked the video. Eagle is coming to install the same size building for us this week.

      I know nothing about surface prep for concrete so I guess I was easily impressed, but the concrete came out looking great. Hopefully it stays that way. Good luck on your build. If you're into video or even pics, I'd love to see your build. Thanks for the response.

    Eagle Carports put up a garage for me, and it's great! I have one problem though, the walk through door is not square, and they won't stand behind it. Beware!

    • @stephenloague9140
      @stephenloague9140 3 года назад +1

      They put up one for us....i wish I'd never heard of the idiots. Roof has leaked since day one. A group of Mexican men who spoke like 5 words of English came out in the pouring rain and put it up. They had electrical cords running through puddles of water. They screwed up everything. The walk in door isn't right. I just found out that they put the roof panels up backwards and that's why it leaks. The window has zero screws holding it in. I ordered the building to have 9x7 garage doors.....they made the dang hole 9x7! The woman told me to make sure my door was exactly 9x7....i did. So instead of coming out to move the posts in and close the openings up about 1.75 inches they told me "it's fine it'll just have a small gap around the doors." I told them it's not correct and was basically told the owner knows everything about these buildings and said it's right so put the doors up. It's supposed to be heated and cooled so I told them that wasn't going to happen. She had me so mad I went ballistic she kept saying "we have you on audio recording." I told her your boss is a dumbass and I'd better not catch one of your people on my property or else. See they were real nice when we purchased it and when we first had issues. Then when it came time to fix it....crickets.

    The following comments are copy-paste from another video review of someone's Eagle Carports install that I posted. I think it's important for people to know what happens when you work with Eagle Carports. Stellar sales experience set us up with confidence... but buyer beware!!!
    We're currently in the in-between: our garage was erected, a shoddy job - many issues match this person's (in a different video I found) - but we also have other issues.
    I asked them what options we have. They said they'd send out the original crew to fix the problems. The photos and videos I sent to Eagle Carports were taken AFTER I had the original crew "fix" them, before they left the first time (in other words: don't send the same crew).
    So, Eagle Carports said they'll send a different crew. First date they were slated to come, I received a text saying they would be delayed til the next week. Then, it was pushed to Friday. Friday morning, they informed me they were running late. No one came Friday.
    HELLO SATURDAY MORNING AT 6:45AM (the ONE morning I can sleep in): Phone call, "I'm at your front gate." Um, what?! NO! There was no call yesterday preparing us for this, and it's Saturday morning at 6:45am! WTH?!
    To inform y'all of our issues:
    Again, same as this video, at least what I watched of it (admittedly didn't watch it all - I was rudely awakened by their fix-it guy so I'm up now and going to post my experience to save others from this experience). Other issues: our price point meant free matching hardware - we got silver (our garage is off-white/bone colored). All the edges (bottom and sides) had exposed insulation sticking out... really good wicking material to grow mold after 1 good rain. The crew didn't erect it per instructions: parts labeled for "back" were installed on the front, the garage doors didn't line up with the prefab brackets, so the crew made their own holes. Same dented-in overtightened screws. Really concerned about the roof construction after watching someone else's review showing it leaking- our interior is covered by the insulation, so we won't know how much it leaks until it's saturated (which will be too late: welcome, mold!)
    Of interest/note: our concrete slab was perfect BEFORE. Since the erection, there are cracks throughout the slab traversing end-to-end. We gave them the date of slab completion...
    We had asked about OPTIONS. They offered to fix it. Stung after the first crew (who also demanded us to feed them! Yes, we offered breakfast tacos as we did for our concrete contractors, but they came to our door asking for lunch, and THEN again DINNER! Thank goodness we had a frozen pizza) we hesitantly agreed. Now, this morning's rude awakening. Frankly, my husband would've been happier to accept $ off the bill, except that whatever we would do will void the warranty.
    Yeah, I'm starting to think that they only post the best reviews, and that they remove anything negative. Now I'm curious how many GOOD reviews are recent? Perhaps they're all pre-COVID? 🤔

      Thanks for the comment. No regrets; the crews that did the work did a great job. I'm still building/arranging the interior and will be for the next 30 or so years ;). The next step is to run power but honestly not in a big hurry. I had (4) 9' doors put in and I work during the day so I have a good amount of light. I use an extension cord for power from the house for the saws and welder. It works well for now. Good luck on your project.

    • @XoomLenz
      @XoomLenz  3 года назад +2

      Great question! I struggled with that decision when contracting the building. I want to put storage in an attic in one portion (yet to be built by me). Also, I knew I'd be working with long material such as boards and metal. When moving those things around, inevitably, I'd end up in a tight situation with a low ceiling. As it works out I was right in my hunch. I love the height. No regrets. Thanks for the comment.
