I pumped an airplane hanger at Mather Field in Sacramento Ca a few years back with M.A.Long it was a kick machine in my opinion. We did it in two night’s. Something like 600 yards the first night and a little over 500 the second night. I’ll be seeing you guys at the W.O.C. 2022 That job made me want to buy one of those machines.

how do you get the rebar and/or mesh back up off the ground after the machine pushes it down flat? Love the machine, looks great. I do like how the machine can set its lets through the rebar etc.. but does the engineer allow you to leave the rebar mat on bottom?

The rebar is left on the ground for machine navigation and the chairs (or bricks as seen in this video) are slid into place right before the unfinished concrete is dumped/pumped onto the subgrade - the machine is designed to reach over the concrete to screed so the chaired rebar is where it should be during the screeding process.

guessing the rebar was just for looks?

The rebar is chaired on bricks as seen on the ground at 1:30 in the video. Best practice when operating a screed on rebar is to leave it on the ground when navigating the jobsite and 'chair as you go' when screeding to achieve correct rebar placement within the slab.

Does the head rotate or move while screeding?

This MAX PRO machine has 360-degree remote controlled boom rotation. If you also require screed head rotation, we suggest you look closely at our BOSS 240 machine which offers our patented “lateral side shift” function that results in the similar operation, BUT without the piling of augered concrete that a rotating head causes.

It looks like a very, very slow process..

    • @gnevala

Lucky Luke it’s a lot slower than hand screed floors.

It’s especially slow with that short stroking trailer pump they’re using.
