Not only that, but if the one sane ghoul trooper in searchlight is anything to go by, the NCR doesn't have a favorable view on ghouls, even the Ranger station with nothing but ghouls is so close to Legion activities you'd think that they put them there hoping they'd get assaulted and wiped out.
@funrun07haan50 I should have clarified. My assumption is that they only have a handful of ghoul soldiers. Most of them are Rangers in the station. It would probably take time to move in the necessary forces to the town. Wich we do not see in game
Having spent some time for work around searchlight, this video is likely the most thorough history of the region I can find. Crazy deep dive thank you for making this. Learned a lot about the real life history.
34:45 you can explain how the landmines work over and over again to max out your reputation with them without really doing anything else for them. I like the Lucky Shades you can find in their safehouse.

Searchlights airport is more developed in-game because of not only the divergence in time, But it also has over 100 years to work with in that time.

I'm not sure the NCR has a lot of ghoul troopers. There are ghouls amongst their ranks, but I don't believe it's enough to make a whole garrison.

@zackrichter9849 The NCR has a law for protecting ghouls and super mutants, but they do face a lot of bigotry.
