- A quick, straight to the point video on How to Pair Your XR11 Xfinity Voice Remote to Your TV for volume and power.
In most cases it’s best to channel up first to find your code.
It is possible to channel up to 100x. Before finding a code
*Try channeling up for most Samsung and Vizio tv’s
*Try channeling down for some LG, RCA and Polaroid tv’s
Two years, still works. Thanks.
Fantastic! Couldn't be done better
Great, clear guide, thank you!
That worked thank you
Thank you it worked!!!
Remote Lifesaver
Thank you so much 🙏
It worked
thank you. I have been sitting here half an hour and then found your very very straightforward explanation. I just wanted to watch my hallmark Christmas special!! Still can't get the voice to pair though...
IDK why but it works until after I cut the TV off with the channel up.. past that nothing else works. IDK if it's my Panasonic viera or my Xfinity xr11.. any advice or possible fixes bro ?
Point directly at the cable box and hold the setup button until light turns green on remote then press the Xfinity button. Type the 3 numbers that pop up on screen. Then follow the instructions on tv
@@CableGods ya I tried that and still nothing . However I got it working thanks you your video I did everything step by step except my TV was off instead of turned on the time it worked lol.. thanks brotha you're amazing for the help!
This was able to finally get the volume to work, but Voice Control is still lighting up red when pressing the microphone button. I tried following the TV pairing instruction to hold Mute and Xfinity for 5 seconds but the light never turns green. Any suggestions?
Mine was doing exactly that but I unplugged the box in the back and it helped
Thanks
Thx fam.. does it work on Vizio v series 2023 TV's
Yes
Does any know how to turn off the speaker on the tv it’s annoying trying to cut it off but couldn’t 😢
If it’s what I think you’re talking about…Say “voice guidance off” through your Xfinity voice remote. If it’s coming from your cable box when you change the channels, but if it’s coming from your television,
when you switch input or change the volume, you wanna go to your televisions settings under accessibilities and turn voice off.
But if by chance you’re talking about when you have a sound bar and you’re getting an echo due to your TV speakers, then and all you have to do is turn the volume to zero on your TV and use sound bar only
Respect. Why does xfinity not tell you to do it this way??
Because it’s a tech secret and Xfinity employees don’t know what technicians know, even some techs, depending on their training don’t know these quick fixes
What if it's not controlling the TV at all?
Same here???
This remote will only volume (+-) and turn your television on and off. if you do NOT have a Xfinity X-1 cable box
If you’re trying to get it to work with your Xfinity X-1 cable box…
Start here… but if you’re just trying to work power and volume for your tv (go to **)
:
V
*
Hold the setup button at the bottom left of your remote
Or the A+D button, if you have the slim, remote
until the light turns green then press 9- 8-1. This will reset your Remote.
Now with your remote, pointing directly at your television press the volume up button.
It should prompt you to program your remote.
Follow those steps on your television
If it doesn’t prompt you to program your remote
Aim your remote directly at the cable box and press channel up a few times.
**
Turn tv on
Hold the setup button at the bottom left of your remote
Or the A+D button, if you have the slim, remote
until the light turns green then press 9-9-1
Pointing at the television
Press CH up slowly until tv turns off (max=100+ codes)
Press setup right after tv turns off (or center “select” button if you have the slim remote)
Turn tv back on with remote and you should be able to work your volume and power on your tv
Xfinity remote’s are NOT universal remotes made to work your tv like your original tv remote,
they’re made to work with Xfinity cable boxes and volume and power to your tv and/or soundbar or audio receiver.
Step 10. Place remote in front of car tire
Step 11. Get into car.
Step 12. Start engine.
Step 13. Rev engine.
Step 14. Rev engine again.
Step. 15. Put car into "DRIVE"
STEP 16. PUT THE PEDDLE TO THE METAL!!!!!
😂 😂😂😂 that’s an option! Or you could just download the Xfinity “REMOTE” app on your phone or tablet and use the remote app to control your cable box until you get a new remote
I’ve had to do this with my remote 3 times in the last week. Now I cannot control my volume. I’m gathering I need to get a new remote since it keeps disconnecting from tv/cable box. I have put new batteries in remote.
Comcast XR11 remote here
Yeah u probably need a new remote
Semper Fi Devil Dog!!! Hope you got you a new remote by now and if not just go to your local Xfinity store and ask them for one it’s free or you can have Xfinity ship one to you but you will have to pay for the shipping. Or if you see a technician out and about just ask them for a remote usually they’re pretty cool and will give you one.
My volume works but my voice still stays red
I un plugged the box and it fixed this
When I get to set up button step 5 nothing happens
Try resetting your remote. First make sure you have new batteries in your remote
Hold setup until light turns green then press 9-8-1.
Then try pairing your remote with the pairing instructions
It seems my remote is paired with another TV in the house and all of these code changes are taking place on other tv. I might just get rid of cable
Tried this process 5 times didn’t work. 🤷🏾♂️
Volume works but channel and input don’t plz help
Point your remote directly at the cable box
@@CableGods ion even kno wtf it isAX061AEI.MV2015VMF170.A897CD5B6E6B
Me either 😂. Where’d u see that?
It won’t turn the TV off at step 3?
What brand tv do you have?
Did not work for me
While pointing your remote directly at your cable box. Try holding the setup button until light turns green then press the Xfinity button. 3 numbers should pop up on your screen. Enter numbers then follow the instructions
If that doesn’t work for you then you either need a new remote or try unplugging your box and trying it again
dont work
You’re must be doing it wrong bc it definitely works
