While tv is on… Hold setup button on bottom of remote until light turns green then press the Xfinity button. Enter the three digit that show up on you tv screen.

so i have 2 remotes for 2 different boxes and it wouldnt allow me to program the voice to the one its been on forever so i had to reprogram a to b then b to a lol fun fact great guide only issue i had wasnt with your guide
What if the three digit code doesn't pop up? I can use the other functions (ch/vol/power) perfectly fine, but the voice setup does not bring up a 3 digit code to enter. I don't have any other boxes in my house.
When this happens they’re 3 things I’d recommend trying. 1st. try the voice remote at least 3 times and listen for a sound change of the beep on the remote…. See if it catches. (Sometimes it just takes a few tries) 2nd- Press- Xfinity button/settings toggle/ Remote settings/ and make sure Voice Control is “ON” 3rd- If still not working, unplug the power to the (cable box) for 10 seconds and while it’s resetting make sure you have new name branded batteries in the remote. After box reboots try it again. Make sure you’re pointing the remote directly at the cable box. If you’re still having issues you may have to exchange your box for a new one
@@CableGods just to add to this: you might need Comcast to do a hard reset on their end. I have now had this issue happen to me twice. Last time I had to get them to hard reset and then the three digits finally appeared. For the second? Well, it happened right before work so I'm going to try Cable God's method first!

Glad you were able to find a fix. Just to let you know some soundbars work better with its original remote. There may be some features the Xfinity remote won’t have but if it’s simply the volume and power you’d like to control than I’m glad you’ve found it. Some soundbars take up to 100x presses before finding its code.

@@JFedd if you can chat thru the xfinity my account app and tell them your service is “all out” they may be able to send u a technician. Hard to say with so much going on after the hurricane but sometimes it’s easier to get an appointment that way. Just make sure you unplug your devices b4 chatting bc if they see ur devices are on they’ll keep trying to make u troubleshoot 😜. Keep typing “all out” “please send a tech!” Most times that’ll work. I can't believe this worked.. I tried literally fifty codes on xfinity channel watched another youtube and this is the one that worked. So annoying xfinity has their set up like this. It should just plug into your tv or cable box and program from there

You can’t. I recommend downloading a universal remote app or remote app to brand of tv if possible. I know for sure Samsung and LG have a remote app. Hope that helps

It keeps showing a different (XR15) remote which I do have one in another room but I’m trying to program the Xr11
