This is how The Beatles should be remembered. Not with some gimmicky look alike tribute band but by a group of musicians dedicated to recreating every subtle nuance of the original recordings. Just as a philharmonic orchestra is dedicated to recreating Mozart or Beethoven.

In the late '60s and '70s, as a Police Officer, I dealt with a few cases where the family's daughter just simply walked out. Hard as nails, I just dealt with it. Now, in my 70s, to hear this European Band play and sing this song with such feeling, I suddenly "got it", the horrible truth of the song, the appeal of it internationally, the lovely heart-rending melody, the pain and ache and fear of the parents for their "grown-up baby"... and it released emotions that I had held in check for years... and I wept. How on earth does an old song do that?

They did Magical Mystery Tour, Sgt Pepper, The White Album, Abbey Road and at the moment they are touring with Abbey Road/ Let ItBe. They perform the music with the same type of instruments that The Beatles recorded them in the sixties. And that in the smallest details. For instance the bell that The Beatles used in Penny Lane was a bell that was used by the British fire departments in those days. So they searched and found a similar bell. The Beatles used a certain 1959 Fender Stratocaster or a 50's pianola? They searched the internet to find and buy a similar one. Litteraly everything must be as much as possible the same as on the record! The singing, the instruments, the sound. And nothing is digital, everything is analogue. They're great!

@@HIWATTSteve this song isn't that hard, the thing that makes it harder is the instrumental part, lots of instruments, but even though, every song is unique because of it's sounding, it would never sound the same as the studio version, even if the beatles had played it live. but we can play it in a pub on the guitar for example, and sound great anyways, it doesn't need to be identical to the original to be good

Wonderful, what a band. There are many cover bands that play Beatle songs, but these guys are absolutely the best. This song is one of the best Beatle songs there are, All I can hear are the Beales. Paul wrote some of the best timeless songs, he was and is one of the finest song writers.

The article that Paul read in the Daily Mail newspaper about Melanie Coe was printed in 1967, and he was born in 1942. That means he was at least 24 or 25 when he wrote the song.

Their vocals are incredible, the way they use vocal doubling isn't often done in live performances but damn does it work.

Again The Analogues nailed it! May well be their best cover amongst several very, very good ones indeed. Even the singing is so to the Original, just amazing. Happy to see them again in June with the Abbey Road album.

He was young when he wrote this but not that young. He was 24. Way ahead of his years though as a musician.
The article that Paul read in the Daily Mail newspaper about Melanie Coe was printed in 1967, and he was born in 1942. That means he was at least 24 or 25 when he wrote the song.
No need to wonder about the greatness of the Beatles! They were just in the 60's start of encouraging the world to bcome artists. Amng the Calogue of music that we all cherish and still do. Awesome no words can describe.

Excellent renditions of classic Beatles songs. Didn’t read all the comments but it can’t be forgotten or underestimated the influence George Martin had on the group with both his production and classical music knowledge
True but Paul was in a hurry get it done and George was busy. Paul got another producer to do it. George was hurt by that. It still is absolutely perfect.
