@@FunkyMarcel i know the lyrics by heart but a simple google search will help you. As soon as I heard him singing i knew straight away there was something not quite right. The correct lyrics at the beginning are: "In Penny Lane, there is a barber showing photographs of every head he's had the pleasure to know"......whereas he sings: "of every head he's had 'A' pleasure to know". i wouldn't otherwise make a big deal of this as it's just ONE WORD but the first commentator said "The PERFECTION" is almost scary"...........to which i pointed out not quite - Only b'cos of that one simple mistake. Musically they are GREAT, no doubt about it. But it's not PERFECTION unless it's 100% Perfect................and the fact is it's not.
I have to disagree with you - the Band called Rubber Soul is great, they sound pitch perfect, look great and, if possible, polish the existing songs to perfection. Try them. I will say this groups version of Maxwell's Silver Hammer is excellent
Will Lee and his band are very good , no doubt. However they use tons of MIDI and synths. These guys on the other hand use original type methods and sounds. Far better, at least in my mind. Outstanding. Most people don’t realize the complexities this music has. To be able to reproduce it at this level , is truly amazing. Great job.
I’ve listened to the Beatles for over 60 and know every song forwards and backwards, or so I thought, these guys have dug up every nuance and detail that made The Beatles the band they were AND produce it live. Bravo, you are just the best, well 2nd best, if you know what I mean. Thank you thank you thank you, dark days are amongst us and you bring a ray of sunshine into our lives. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
I get it! I get it! I also like that they don't look like The Beatles but they don't try to sound like the voices of The Beatles as well. This way, we see what it sounds like to have very, very talented musicians from "another band" perform the same songs as the songs were just being introduced. Therefore, because we are all quite impressed, it proves the fact that The Beatles were indeed wonderful creators of some of the best music this world has ever experienced. (This is all my own opinion but I'm pretty sure there are those out there who would agree with most of it.) Thank you The Analogues!!
I think they try to get as close as they can to the Beatles' individual voices, but don't obsess over impersonating them - which feels like the right approach. While you can just about duplicate music exactly (as these guys prove), voices are a different matter. There probably are exact Beatles soundalikes out there, but it's better to hear the Analogues sing these songs in their own voices.
Penny Lane is one of my all time Favorite Beatle songs. When I first heard the song on the radio. I was absolutely astounded with the Beatles originality and use of instruments we never heard on record by Pop groups. Fantastic rendition of the original
Me too - I don't even know why. It sunk deep into me as a child and never left. Even as a 7 year old I got the nuance of - _"he likes to keep his fire engine clean - it's a clean machine."_

Brilliant. No dressing up or the usual imitation bands; just get the sound right by meticulously researching what was used and how. Top class. No expense spared. My teenage years brought to the stage.
The Analogues are best Beatles cover band ever! They always blow it out of the water and sound so polished and yet so raw, just like the original Beatles.
This is genuine reproduction of classic musical, which one day someone will term ‘classical’. Great to see it being treated as serious music and not nostalgia.
I love the horns in this song. The execution is clean, sweet, down to earth. I can't even find the right words for it. It lets you hear and enjoy what's written. Spectacularly done. Great job!
This is fantastic! The precision is awesome and then you realise that they are playing musical masterpieces written almost 60 years ago, that still sound fresh ,like they were made yesterday . The scary thing is that people that wrote all this music were kids by today standards ,in their '20.
That is as good a cover of one of the greatest singles in music history as you’re gonna hear. Such attention to detail, down to the bell with the right tone and the sublime piccolo trumpet flourishes. Well done, gents.
Although they certainly don't look like The Beatles or their vocals don't sound like them, the level of musicianship, the timing and the tone is exactly like The Beatles. Amazing job guys!
Semplicemente fenomenali. Io, che ho vissuto i Beatles dall' inizio alla fine, dico che questo Gruppo di Musicisti è l'unico che li possa degnamente rappresentare. Veramente bravi, bravi, bravi.
One of the best covers of Penny Lane I have ever heard - and we better get ready for a lot of covers in the future - you know like all the covers of the other geniuses; Bach, Beethoven & Mozart. There was a generation that heard those guys live - but never recorded now covered and recorded covers. Our generation heard the Beatles live, recorded, remastered, and covered. Thank god nobody will have to listen to their covers recorded!
Even the flowers on the white jackets of the horn section, three red, one black, just like the 'Your Mother Should Know' sequence of the MMT movie! Love the details, not just musically, which is largely spot on!!
The beauty of The Analogues' performances is they demonstrate what the Beatles would have had to do in order to perform many of their later songs live - it would have required an additional 8-10 musicians on tour with them. The Analogues prove the Beatles COULD have done it if they had been interested in doing so. But the Beatles made it clear at the time that they were fed up with touring. McCartney was willing to go out on tour again but he couldn't talk the others into it.
Just brilliant. The awesome subtly of this performance is how two singers sing pitch perfect to duplicate McCartney's double tracking on the original. Its crazy good stuff.
Amazing. This familiar sound we have grown to enjoy so much is that from the produced record, not live. I wonder if the Beatles themselves could have played live with such precision.
Does it get any better, I don't think so. The way this song is performed is absolutely amazing, That guy that does the piccolo trumpet did an outstanding job on that solo. Perfection at his best, well done gentleman.
Itotally agree with MrLike. Made me love this song all over again. That trumpet soloist - a milllion 'thums up' to him. He had one chance. Like threading a very tiny eyed needle and HE DID IT PERFECTLY
This is one of my favorite Beatles songs. Thank you so much. This song is a work of pure genius and you give it the proper kind of treatment it deserves!
