I’m latina but have lived in the US for 8 years. One thing that I don’t get used to here is how casual weddings are when it comes to dress code 😅 in latin america, especially Venezuela where I’m from, dress code for weddings is somewhere in between white and black tie, which I LOVE!
Love this breakdown! In general I like the idea behind this video - you're kind of explaining fashion rules. It could be fun to hear your take on other fashion rules and which ones we should bend or break. For example, I always heard the rule that you shouldn’t mix brown and black - like why?! Was that just some editor put in Cosmo in 2005 and it stuck? This 'rule' makes me scared to mix them, but I see you do it and it looks great obviously. So could be fun to see more videos around bending or breaking the “rules” of fashion, or even a “myth busters” type video. Just a fun idea!
Excellent video! I’m 51 and have to a lot of weddings!! So I’m not new to this but love your content, keeps me current. Picking out the perfect dress/outfit as guest isn’t always easy. It can be confusing and stressful, especially if you’re new to the world of weddings and special occasion events.
Quite an interesting video. Never easy to choose the right outfit because for me the one thing i would say is to feel comfortable 🙏 sometimes you see guests who can barely walk with heels, who can barely seat in their too tight dresses, who keep pulling their dresses or they are "bustiers"(sorry don't know the English word. ..maybe strapless dress?". You did quite a job with the info box 🙏🙏🙏 love from France ❤
Thanks for showing all the options!! The problem I usually have with these videos is that they always show very casual dresses. Where I live, weddings are usually between formal and white tie. The casual options are only used in bachelorette parties, etc! Very good video!!
Last month I got invited to an event (not a wedding) with dress code "casual-formal" and I was like ???? those are actual antonyms, words have meaning. But I'm still waiting for a white tie wedding to wear a black vintage Halston dress that belonged to my great-aunt
You shouldn't wear red at Hungarian weddings either! After midnight the bride wears a (usually short) red dress. This symbolizes that a girl has become a woman:) And wearing black at a Hungarian wedding is absolutely inappropriate, because it is the colour of mourning. But as far as I know, this is the case in most European countries
Loved the fact that you covered an Indian Wedding but being an Indian myself I just want to say that in most cases, bride would never mind if wear red but wearing white and black is not considered auspicious

Just what I needed 🎈!

Does anyone know what the gray/blue dress at 5:20 is called (the cut of it)? So form fitted but flares out at the bottom
I think it's a strapless trumpet midi dress
yes! it's the second last link under cocktail dresses - but its norma kamali
Loved the fact that you covered an Indian Wedding but being an Indian myself I just want to say that in most cases, bride would never mind if wear red but wearing white and black is not considered auspicious

Congratulation on the vídeo 👏and I wish a great day 🌞
Nice one!
how much will the dress and the wedding cost?
Good advice. I love that you said that men can wear ‘slacks’ ! Don’t usually hear that word on You Tube :)

Allegra what’s your horoscope sign? You remind me of Kendal Jenner kind of :)
im an aquarius!
In South Indian weddings bride and groom wear yellow .
❤❤❤
I’m still out here supporting black and red for weddings
Hello Allegra 🙋
Help! Wtf does 'Grown and Sexy' dress code translate to?? Cocktail?
whatever you feel sexy in!
In HINDU weddings the bride wears red - not Indian
thank you for clarifying!!
Not true. Sikh weddings red is also worn.
Okay but what obligation do guests have in figuring out wedding party colours in advance to avoid matching dresses?!
Zero obligation
Literally everything you’ve shared is expensive
it's meant for inspiration, im not telling you to buy these exact pieces
@@allegrashaw I just think it might be a bit more relatable if you can also share some affordable pieces too.
